Chelsea will feel they might have had a penalty when Fernando Torres had his shirt grabbed hold of by Vincent Kompany and Sergio Aguero might have been sent off, but it's Manchester City who will make the trip back to Wembley to face Wigan in the final!
Manchester City hold on in a pulsating FA Cup semi-final at Wembley. Roberto Mancini's side led initially through Sami Nasri and looked comfortable when Sergio Aguero extended the lead, but Chelsea found a way back into the game through Demba Ba and exploded into life, but just couldn't find an equaliser.
FULL TIME: Chelsea 1-2 Manchester City
90' + 4'
Eden Hazard fancies himself the hero, cutting inside and blasting at goal, but the ball sails a long way wide of the goal. That could be it for Chelsea.
90' + 2'
Chelsea attempt to carve another opening through Juan Mata, who finds Ryan Bertrand, but Costel Pantilimon collects the cross. Rafa Benitez's men are running out of time here...
90' + 1'
OOH! Manchester City have a chance to finish the game off as Yaya Toure bounds forward, but Sergio Aguero can't adjust his feet to find the net from close range! We're in stoppage time and Chelsea are sending cross after cross into the opposition penalty area.
Chris Foy has another huge call to make as Fernando Torres attempts to shake off Vincent Kompany, but the centre-back has a firm grip on the striker's shirt. No penalty is awarded, and Torres feels hard done by.
Another cautious change from Roberto Mancini, with Joleon Lescott coming on for Samir Nasri, who opened the scoring for Manchester City.
Now Sergio Aguero is on the receiving end of a late challenge from Fernando Torres, who could easily be booked as well, but escapes.
Very ugly scenes here. David Luiz shields the ball from Sergio Aguero aggressively and the collision sends the Brazilian to ground. The striker launches into the floored centre-back with two feet and is extremely lucky not to be sent off by Chris Foy.
Close from David Luiz! The defender strikes the ball with power, but it curls wide of the goal. At the other end, Yaya Toure powers through for an effort of his own but, like Luiz, can't find the target.
Yellow Card Vincent Kompany
Free kick for Chelsea in a very dangerous position, around 25 yards from goal, as Vincent Kompany takes down Eden Hazard. The Belgian is receiving treatment.
Fernando Torres tries his luck from distance after gliding into space, but his shot is blocked. It is simply all Chelsea at the moment.
Change for Manchester City. Roberto Mancini replaces Carlos Tevez with Javi Garcia, hoping to soak up some of that Chelsea pressure.
Pantilimon again! Ba looks certain to equalise from close range, but his strike is somehow kept out by the huge frame of the Manchester City goalkeeper! Chelsea have a renewed sense of belief about them now.
Huge block from Costel Pantilimon! Chelsea break at pace and Fernando Torres finds Juan Mata, who tries to dribble around the Romanian, but the goalkeeper gets a vital hand to the ball!
Assist David Luiz
Goal Demba Ba
GOAL!!! Demba Ba makes it 2-1!!! Chelsea are back in the game! Moments after Fernando Torres replaces John Obi Mikel, a long ball is sent into the Manchester City area and bounces up on the surface for Ba, who swivels and volleys beyond Pantilimon!
John Obi Mikel
More patient build-up from Chelsea, but it comes to nothing as Hazard clips the ball to Ramires, but his header is tame and easy for Pantilimon to deal with.
Pantilimon is called into action again as Oscar breaks free on the right, but his cross is deflected into the goalkeeper's path. Meanwhile, Rafa Benitez could be about to make a change.
Chelsea have a free kick and Juan Mata is stood over it, but Costel Pantilimon claims it comfortably.
Chelsea attack again through Eden Hazard, who attempts a cute pass to Demba Ba, but the striker is coming back from an offside position and the move breaks down.
Every Manchester City pass is being cheered by the sea of sky blue at Wembley. That is until Gael Clichy gives the ball away and the boos rain down.
Here come Manchester City on the counter, with Yaya Toure, Sergio Aguero and Carlos Tevez all racing through, but the Argentinian pair fail to combine as a pass is cut out.
Chelsea attempt to respond as Oscar picks the ball up outside the Manchester City penalty area, but Vincent Kompany stands his ground and will not allow the Brazilian a sight at goal.
Yellow Card Ramires
Ramires, after much protestation, is going into Chris Foy's book. A yellow card for the Brazilian.
Goal Sergio Agüero
GOAL!!! Manchester City are 2-0 up!!! The second half isn't even two minutes old as Gareth Barry floats in a cross from the right and Sergio Aguero heads beyond Petr Cech!
Assist Gareth Barry
We're back underway in the second half at Wembley! Can Chelsea find an equaliser?
Half-time at Wembley. That Kompany chance was the last action of a frantic first half. City have had the best of things here, and it's strange to see Chelsea appear so overawed. Benitez will be considering his options during the break, and will no doubt have to shake things up to get his side back into it.
Yellow Card Yaya Touré
What a chance! City break forward with James Milner, and although the Englishman has plenty of support he chooses to go for goal himself. Cech can only parry the ball to Vincent Kompany, who has sprinted the length of the field to join the attack, but he can only sidefoot wide of the post.
The pace has slowed somewhat here, but both teams are still going for it. How will this affect Chelsea later on after Thursday's trip to Moscow?
Chelsea really have not looked like scoring thus far, so they have it all to do now. They had began to impose more of a threat in attack before the goal, but they will have to do better.
Goal Samir Nasri
GOAL!!! Manchester City take the lead in this FA Cup semi-final! City pile players into the box in order to make the most of their latest attack, and after several ricochets the ball breaks for Samir Nasri who strokes it past Cech.
Excellent end-to-end play now. Tevez surges forward down the left and manages to cut back inside to avoid two opponents. He spots Zabaleta to his right, but Bertrand cuts the pass out. Chelsea are straight back on to the attack, but Ramires is dispossessed after good play by Hazard.
Benitez's men are offering a little more going forward now as Ramires plays the ball down the right for Ba, but again Nastasic bosses the striker.
The Chelsea midfield is not proving much of a hindrance to City at the moment. Kompany gets possession way into his own half, then drills a low pass all the way through to Aguero, with very little opposition. The move falls apart as Gael Clichy's cross is blocked.
The free kick is dropped in behind the City defence and Ba gets to it, but instead of shooting first time he opts to bring it down and his touch knocks the ball out of play.
Yellow Card Gareth Barry
Ramires breaks through the midfield and skips past one challenge before being clattered by Barry. He looks hurt but should be able to continue. Free kick to Chelsea.
Juan Mata has had a quiet match so far, but he pops up on the edge of the City area and passes to Ba. The Senegalese forward tries to turn Nastasic, but the defenders deals with him well.
Chelsea appear to have awoken, some 23 minutes in. The ball is put into the City area and Costel Pantilimon is drawn towards the penalty spot as Hazard tries his luck from 25 yards. His effort is struck into the ground and it bounces over the goalkeeper and looks to be heading into the goal, but Kompany is back to clear off the line.
Tevez is very much looking in the mood today. He gets possession outside the Chelsea area, then plays a one-two with Aguero before playing another one with his compatriot. Eventually he gets into the area, but once again Chelsea block the effort.
Excellent ball over the top by Vincent Kompany as he picks out the run of Aguero. The forward brings the ball down fantastically before shooting from the edge of the area, but Ivanovic gets across and makes an important block.
After a fairly frenetic opening 15 minutes, proceedings seem to have calmed a little recently. City still look very much in control, however.
City have their opponents hemmed in near their own corner flag, but a very clever turn from Oscar opens play up as he slips the ball through Pablo Zabaleta's legs. However, the Argentine isn't having any of it as he hauls the midfielder down. He surprisingly escapes a booking.
Chelsea look to have settled a little as Oscar, Eden Hazard and Mikel knock the ball around amongst each other, but eventually the latter gives possession away rather leisurely.
Benitez will almost certainly be frustrated with how his side has started. With almost 15 minutes played, they are yet to have any meaningful possession in the City half.
Aguero jinks his way between Chelsea's lines, but David Luiz does well to step up and steal the ball from him. The Brazilian lets John Obi Mikel take over, and after playing a fortuitous one-two off Toure, he tries to play a pass over the top for Demba Ba, but Matija Nastasic sweeps up with ease.
Chelsea get the ball away, but back come Tevez and Co.
Good play again by City. This time Tevez is released into the right side of the penalty area where he shoots from a narrow angle and Cech palms it behind for another City corner.
Roberto Mancini's men are getting a lot of joy down their left in these opening stages, but they are causing havoc in every area of the Chelsea defence.
City's second corner is less impressive and Benitez's side get some respite as they clear, briefly.
Chelsea clear the corner, but Gareth Barry plays it back in low. Yaya Toure diverts it towards the goal for Aguero, but the Argentine's poke is saved well by Petr Cech. Another corner for City.
Corner to City as a cross is deflected behind.
And there is the first shot of the match as Aguero gets played into that position again on the left, but his shot goes into the side-netting.
Sergio Aguero and Carlos Tevez try to link-up on the left side of the penalty area, but Branislav Ivanovic puts in a strong challenge and sees possession fall to Ramires.
Livelier start from City here as they look to probe the Chelsea defence with passes in behind, but Rafa Benitez's side are standing firm so far.
Here we go. Manchester City get the match started at Wembley.
Carlos Tevez has scored five goals in this season's competition - making him the second-highest goalscorer. Aldershot forward Danny Hylton (8) leads the goalscoring charts.
