The Seahorses' bubble has burst but their visitors are in the relegation zone...
Cesena's bubble has burst as the newly promoted Serie A side are struggling. At one point the Seahorses were at the top of the league standings but at the moment they are 16th in the table with seven points from six matches, just two points above the relegation zone.
Cesena have lost their last three league games and are fast plummeting into the lower reaches of the Italian first division. The players' form have dipped too and suddenly it appears that they are lacking in depth.
But perhaps the international break could help them as it has punctuated their losing momentum somewhat. Cesena have won twice at home in the league this campaign and will hope for their good home run to continue against Parma.
In The Relegation Zone
Last season Parma did quite well in Serie A but this campaign they are struggling. At the moment the Ducali are third from bottom in the table with just five points from six matches.
Parma have yet to win in the league since their opening weekend defeat of Brescia and have also lost their last two matches. Furthermore, Parma have picked up just one point from their three away games so far this season.
Nevertheless, Parma will be aware that this is an early season relegation six-pointer and will look to employ their past experience to eke out a win.
Budan is out injured and Colucci is suspended.
