Celta de Vigo
Mario Bermejo 56'
Cristiano Ronaldo 87'
Full time in Balaidos. A goal from Mario Bermejo and a wonder goal from Cristian Bustos give Celta Vigo a vital 2-1 first leg win over Real Madrid in the Copa del Rey round of 16. Ronaldo clawed a goal back in the latter stages which could prove to be important in the return leg at Santiago Bernabeu. Celta will be ecstatic at their result, and the performance. I'm Martin Macdonald, thanks for joining us on Goal.com!
90' + 4'
Yellow Card De Lucas
90' + 1'
Celta just looking to waste a little time here. Madrid are getting frustrated with Sergio, who is just keeping the ball at the back to run down the clock.
Another goal from Real Madrid would surely be cruel on Celta now, they hosts have worked so incredibly hard for the full match. They don't need to hold for much longer, but as we know, Los Blancos are incredibly resilient.
Goal C. Ronaldo
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAL FOR REAL MADRID!! A lifeline for the visitors!! Xabi Alonso finds space 30 yards from goal and dinks a superb pass over the top of the Celta defence for Ronaldo, who wonderfully swivels inside the box to half-volley the ball into the top corner! 2-1
Vital touch from Lago!! Modrid chips a pass meant for Ronaldo at the back post. It would have hit its mark but the Celta man managed to rise high and glance the ball away from the box!
Celta make their third and final change. The goalscorer, Mario Bermejo, is withdrawn for Jonathan Vila, who is a defender. The hosts probably looking to shut up shop now.
That goal looks to have kicked Madrid into gear a little, but they are still being denied by Sergio. Ronaldo has had a couple of decent attempts in the last couple of minutes but the Celta keeper' has been in superb form tonight.
That truly was a goal fit to win any match. Bustos had not scored in 110 games before tonight! What a time to break the norm!
Yellow Card Augusto Fernández
Goal Cristian Bustos
GOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAL FOR CELTA!! A WONDER STRIKE!!! Substitute Bustos, who has been on the field three minutes, picks up the ball 30 yards from goal and rifles the ball into the top right corner!! Incredible! 2-0 Celta!
A bit of an incident involving Pepe and Lago here. Celta were awarded a free kick and the Portuguese back-heeled the ball away, only to catch the left-back in the process. It looked totally accidental but you never really know with the Madrid man. He does not get punished by the referee.
Celta make their second change of the match. The influential Iago Aspas comes off for Cristian Bustos.
Celta are retreating deeper and deeper into their own half now. Their defending is getting pretty rash, with mindless punts up the field. It is only inviting more pressure from Madrid.
What a horrendous free kick from Ozil. The German takes a set-piece in a great central position around 25 yards from goal but his attempted cross dribbles into the hands of Sergio. That was certainly not like his free kick winner against Valladolid at the weekend!
Terrific save from Sergio!!! Xabi Alonso clips a cross to the back post and Lago manages to head clear. The ball finds its way to Modric on the edge of the box who smashes a half-volley towards goal but the Celta keeper' gets down to his left and makes the stop!
Real Madrid let off the hook again. Celta counterattack at pace down the right wing and the ball eventually comes to Aspas inside the middle. He mishits the ball and is called as offside, but he was totally alone inside the box. There is definitely more goals in this!
Yellow Card Bermejo
Jose Mourinho takes action. The Madrid coach makes an attacking change and introduces Kaka into he action in place of Michael Essien.
Real Madrid are still having plenty of possession, but they don't look too dangerous with it. Sergio has hardly had a save to make in the Celta goal. Just under 30 minutes remaining.
Well, Celta are full value for their lead here. Their fans are enjoying it, too! Every time the home side make a pass we are getting a chorus of "OLE" from the crowd!
There was an interesting moment in the build-up to that goal. Ronaldo went in late in a challenge with a Celta players but the referee played advantage. Now, should he go back and give the Portuguese his second booking of the match?
GOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAL FOR CELTA!!!! Krohn-Dehli picks out Bermejo at the back post with a clipped left-footed cross and Celta's No.9 smashes the ball in past Antonio Adan! 1-0 to the hosts!
Well, Alvaro Arbeloa, take a bow. Real Madrid construct a promising attack down the left and the ball eventually comes to the former Liverpool man. He finds himself in a great position inside the box but his shot is so awry that it actually goes behind him! That is skill!
Celta break through the middle! The ball is slid through to Park but the South Korean allows Pepe to come in with a vital interception! He should have came deeper to get the ball there.
Great tackle from Oubina! Ronaldo found himself in space on the left and smashed a cross into the middle. Ozil looked poised to pull the trigger but the Celta man came in with the challenge to put the ball out for a Madrid corner.
Krohn-Dehli drives down the left-hand side and picks out Lago in acres of space down the wing. However, the cross into the box is weak by the Celta left-back. They still manage to get a corner out of it, though.
Ángel Di María
A change to report at half time. Mesut Ozil has been introduced into the action in place of the ineffective Angel Di Maria.
We are back under way!
Half time in Vigo. Not a lot of goalmouth action on show at Balaidos but it is certainly an intriguing affair. Either side could go on to win this! Let's see if there are any changes at half time. Join us in 15 minutes for the second period, you don't want to miss it!
Celta looking very confident in the latter stages of the first half. Krohn-Dehli has whipped in two dangerous corner kicks in the past couple of minutes and Madrid are looking susceptible here. A goal before half-time, perhaps?
Lago sends a nice pass up the left-hand side. Aspas looks to get on the end of it but Varane comes in with a commanding tackle to send the ball out for a Celta corner kick.
Aspas thunders down the right-hand side and whips a cracking pass to the back post for Park. The South Korean was unmarked but he fluffs his shot! Another chance goes begging for the hosts!
Fantastic pass from Aspas!! The Celta striker moves into a deep area and curls a superb pass into the centre for Park! The South Korean was on his heels though and couldn't manage to collect. That would have been some move had it been capped off with a goal!
Ronaldo looks to take the game by the scruff of the neck. He picks up the ball on the left and cuts inside before unleashing a drilled shot towards goal from 25 yards. Sergio was equal to it, though, and makes a solid save in goal.
Very poor from Di Maria. Callejon, Ozil, and Ronaldo were all inside the box but the Argentine failed to find any of them with his cross from the right. It went far beyond the trio in the middle and out for a goal kick.
Not a lot of goalmouth action to speak of in the opening 30 minutes. Park Chu-Young came closest with his chance at the back post, but neither goalkeeper has been troubled yet.
Benzema won't be able to continue. The Frenchman is going to be replaced by Jose Callejon.
Small break in play at the moment as Benzema is currently down injured. The Frenchman wasn't involved in a tackle and it looks like a fairly innocuous injury. He is clutching his ankle.
Yellow Card Michael Krohn-Dehli
Michael Krohn-Dehli is the first Celta man to receive a booking. The Dane looks to get on the end of a ball down the left-hand side but slides in late on Varane. Sore one for the Madrid man but he'll be okay.
It has been raining heavily in Vigo all day, and as a result we have a very slick surface at Balaidos. You have to think that this favours Madrid as they counterattack at pace.
Modric drives forward again and pushed a pass to the feet of Ronaldo. The Portuguese then attempts a spectacular 'Marseille Turn' past Lago but the Celta man manages to nick the ball away, he was having none of it.
Di Maria involved again. This time the Argentine cuts inside and threads a fantastic pass through the Celta defence down the left for Arbeloa. However, the former Liverpool man takes to long to get the cross in and Celta manage to regroup at the back.
Di Maria finds space on the right and looks to pick out Benzema inside the box with a whipped cross. It looked to be the goalkeeper's but Cabral took no chances and headed clear.
Yellow Card C. Ronaldo
The first booking of the match goes to Cristiano Ronaldo, and deservedly so. The Madrid man goes in very late and rakes his studs down the foot of Celta right-back, Mallo.
Park misses at the back post!! Celta go close! Lago goes on a marauding run down the left and whips a superb cross for the on-loan Arsenal man, but he slides the ball wide! It was a difficult chance, but the goal was gaping!
Great play by Madrid! Di Maria picks out Ronaldo with a lovely pass down the right. Ronaldo reverses a superb cross into the danger area inside the box but Modric can't stretch to the ball! Unlucky!
Alonso slips a lovely pass through the centre for Ronaldo and the Portuguese turns round and gallops towards goal. He attempts to slide a pass behind the defence for Benzema but the Celta defence manage to clean up the danger.
Very entertaining opening 10 minutes. Madrid have had plenty of possession so far but Celta certainly look set-up to counterattack at pace down the flanks. They have plenty of speed in their team, so they will be a danger.
Aspas breaks out to the right-hand side and attempt to pick out Augusto Fernandez inside the box. He does so, but his team-mate cannot take the ball in his stride and it goes out for a Madrid goal kick.
Madrid are just starting to settle into the game now. Xabi Alonso and Michael Essien are beginning to take a foothold in midfield and the visitors and enjoying a nice period of possession.
Michael Essien shows excellent endeavour in midfield as he robs Oubina of possession before pacing forward. He looks to catch out Celta goalkeeper Sergio at the near post with a curled shot but it is a simple catch for the keeper'.
Luka Modric drives forward. The Croatian looks to pick out Benzema with a pass over the top of the defence. However, unlike his glorious clipped pass to the Frenchman in the Ajax game last week, this one goes out of play.
Celta have set-up in a 4-5-1 formation. However, they have loaded the team with plenty of attacking talent. All of the midfield, with perhaps the exception of Oubina, all look to have ambition going forward in the opening stages.
On first glance, it appears that Raphael Varane is playing right-back, with Arbeloa on the left. Carvalho is placed in the middle of defence.
And we are off!
Madrid strolled into the next round with a 7-1 aggregate win over Alcoyano in the previous round, whereas Celta scraped through against Almeria.
The stats make uncomfortable reading for Celta fans: The home side have not defeated Real Madrid in front of their own fans in over a decade.
We are approaching kick-off now, so don't forget to post your thoughts, feelings, and predictions on the match on to the chat section of our brand-spanking new Live Match Centre!
A fairly strong line-up fielded by Jose Mourinho tonight. He will want to reclaim the crown from Barcelona this year!

This is how Celta will be lining up tonight: Sergio; Mallo, Cabral, Tunez, Lago; Oubina, Augusto, Bermejo, Krohn-Dehli, Park; Aspas
