The Sicilians are flying high in the table...In The Top Four
At the start of the season Catania were expected to struggle for survival in the Italian top flight but so far it's been a different story altogether. At the moment, after four rounds of matches in Serie A the Sicilians are fourth in the table with seven points, just three behind Italian champions and current league leaders Inter.
Catania became the first side to inflict a defeat on newly promoted Cesena in midweek as they won 2-0 at home. Marco Giampaolo's side have won both their matches at the Stadio Angelo Massimino and will be confident of winning yet again on Sunday when Bologna come to town.
Like Catania, Bologna too were expected to fight for their lives in Serie A and although they have not been going as strongly as the Sicilians, they do seem to have made a steady start.
At the moment Alberto Malesani's side are 12th in the league standings with five points from four matches. In midweek the Felsinei defeated Udinese 2-1 at home.
However, Bologna have a mixed record away from home as they have conceded five goals on their travels but two of them came in a 2-2 draw with Roma in Rome.
Sciacca is out for the Sicilians.
