That's it for Goal.com's live text commentary this evening. Keep it here for the match report, and further action, reaction and analysis from the 2011 Copa America and beyond. I'm Mohammed Ali, and it's been a pleasure. Enjoy your evening.
So, the two favourites, Argentina and Brazil are yet to taste victory in the Copa America so far. Where has it gone wrong for Brazil? Neymar and co have failed to set the tournament alight with performances, and inevitably questions will be asked following this encounter.
So, there we have it form the Estadio Mario Kempes in Cordoba. Brazil have looked off-colour again in the 2011 Copa America, and required a 90th minute leveller from substitute Fred to remain in contention. Mano Menezes may have had a celebatory jig at the dramatic goal, but he will be far from happy from his side's rather lax performance against a well-disciplined Paraguay side.
90' + 3'
The referee blows the fulltime whistle. Brazil have salvaged a 2-2 draw agains Paraguay, who may feel a bit disappointed with losing their focus in the final few moments.
90' + 2'
Yellow Card Daniel Alves
90' + 2'
Dani Alves is booked by the referee. Ganso is the man to have set up the goal, just as he was the vital component in the first one. Into injury time here in Cordoba, two minutes of it.
GOAAAAAALL!!! BRAZIL HAVE EQUALISED!! Mano Menezes' substituiton has worked a treat with Fred latching onto a delightful ball to lash home a first time effort and spare Brazilian blushes!!! 2-2 is the scoreline!
Yellow Card Víctor Cáceres
Victor Caceres becomes the first Paraguayan to be booked by the referee. Meanwhile, Dani Alves' long punt up the field is easily picked out by Villar. Lack of urgency from the Selecao, about five minutes plus injury time left in Cordoba.
Corner to Brazil after Villar's save. And yet, the delivery mirrors that of the previous setpieces, with the ball failing to connect with a player. Mano Menezes' side disctinly lacked in this area tonight.
VALDEZ!! Brazil would've finally be beaten off had that gone in. The substitute does well to get into the box, yet couldn't find his strike partner as the ball moved away from goal. A real waste of a potential game-settler.
Wonderkid Neymar is subsituted after a rather off-colour performance. He is replaced by Fred, could this be the replacement which sparks life into a slacking Selecao side?
Corner to Brazil after Pato's clever dummy to get the ball out of play. Neymar takes the setpiece and is greeted with jeers and whistles from the stands. Justified, as the delivery is poor, something that the Selecao have disappointed in this evening.
Paraguay's defensive mentality could well work in their favour in the last quarter of an hour. Their ability to absorb attacks could see them wrap up a shock win. Marcelo Estigarribia, who has been impressive tonight is replaced by Osvaldo Martinez.
Zayyad Muhd Kabir tweets in: "I think Mano Menezes' decision to drop Kaka is backfiring".
Neymar is over the freekick, and is headed behind by Roque Santa Cruz. Brazil need to now gain a sense of urgency, if they are to avoid going the same way as Argentina who disappointed in their second round game. Just over 15 minutes left in this one.
Kofi Akuffo tweets in:"This Neymar guy is just a raw talent who needs to grow up. So why put your bets on him and not play someone like Hulk. Brazil might lose if Mano Menezes keeps on starting that kid. And he is too over-rated and over-priced too". Interesting thought. Meanwhile, Ramires is replaced by Lucas.
Mano Menezes looks on with a stern face, as his team selection backfired? What can he do to save the situation. Tweet your thoughts to @mohammedali_93. Meanwhile Paraguay make another subsitution. Cristian Riveros is replaced by Victor Caceres.
Assist Roque Santa Cruz
Goal Haedo Valdéz
GOAAAAALLL!!! NELSON VALDEZ PUTS PARAGUAY INTO THE LEAD!! The Guarani again punish a Neymar miss, by moving forward and creating a chance. This time, it worked again as Brazil were caught in posession in their own penalty area, with Santa Cruz squaring for Valdez who's finish chipped over the keeper and into the goal. PARAGUAY AHEAD!
NEYMAR!! How have Brazil not scored? A disappointing miss by the wonderkid, and a equally brilliant save form Villar.
Space is found on the right wing, and quickly seized by Pumas' Dario Veron. The cross is cleared behind by Elano and beyond the oncoming Estigarribia. The resulting setpiece amounts to nothing however.
The five-time world champions look to have rested on their laurels after the break, and Paraguay have punished them with an improved perfomance after the break. Brazil seem to lack cohesion as well as a killer touch, and simply can't find a way past the water-tight defence.
Yellow Card Lucas Leiva
Liverpool's Lucas Leiva is the third Selecao player to be booked after a crunching tackle on Torres.
Paraguay make a change after drawing level. Lucas Barrios has been replaced by Nelson Valdez. Amusingly, just after the goal, Valdez had hugged his manager Gerardo Martino, only for the boss to give him a frosty reception and urged caution.
Assist Marcelo Estigarribia
Goal Roque Santa Cruz
GOAAAAAAL!!!!! PARAGUAY EQUALISE!!! As soon as Neymar misses the chance, The Guarani move up the field with Estigarribia finding SANTA CRUZ with a low pull back, and the Man City man got in by sidefooting the bal home. GAME ON?!
A chorus of boos emanating from Cordoba, after Neymar cuts in from the left, and blazes over. The Santos hitman has been rather quiet this afternoon.
Yellow Card Alexandre Pato
Alexandre Pato is yellow carded after a foul on Vera.
Play is briefly interrupted after Dani Alves and Lucas Barrios are both grounded, after challenges from Estigarribia and Ramires respectively.
Enrique Vera has crashed into the back of Andre Santos. Freekick to the Guarani, in which they couldn't get it to trouble the back-line.
The substitution made by Mano Menezes at the break, was Elano replacing goalscorer Jadson.
We are underway in the second half, Brazil 1-0 Paraguay
The teams have emerged from the tunnel. Second half about to begin in Cordoba. Brazil look to have made a substitution. More on that in a second.
Some first-half stats to whet your half-time appetite. The Selecao have a 100% shot accuracy thus far, whilst also edging ahead in possession (55%-45%), yet they don't really seem to be dominating Gerardo Martino's men. All to play for in the second period which is a few moments away.
So, what do you think of Brazil's first half performance. Was the decision to drop Robinho in favour of goalscorer Jadson a stroke of inspiration from Mano Menezes? Tweet me your thoughts on Twitter - @mohammedali_93. Some comments may also be published.
Wilmar Roldan calls time on the first half after one minute of added time. The Guarani may feel a little disappointed with themselves after showing early promise, yet it is Brazil who lead after sparking into life following a slow start to the encounter. Jadson's goal, a 20 yard belter into the bottom corner, remains the difference at the interval.
45' + 1'
Yellow Card L. Barrios
45' + 1'
The referee penalises Barrios for a foul on Lucio.
Brazil have sparked into life in the final minutes of the first half. Ganso superbly got past his defender, but Paulo Da Silva redeemed himself by sliding the ball into touch.
GOAAAALLLLLLL!!!!!!! JADSON PUTS BRAZIL IN THE LEAD!! Wonderful goal from the Shakhtar man, as he beats Justo Villar with a 20 yard shot which nestled into the bottom corner. Good run from Ramires, who made the chance happen after barging through a few defenders. Ganso teed up Jadson with a simple assist.
Goal.com's Daniel Edwards is at the Estadio Mario Kempes in Cordoba. He says: "A section of Brazil fans are singing for Kaka, on this performance so far who can blame them?".
Yellow Card Jádson
Jadson is shown a yellow card by referee Wilmar Roldan
Roque Santa Cruz is caught offside. The game has temporarily lost its attacking tempo, with the ball being bogged down in midfield. Remember, you can tweet in your thoughts to @mohammedali_93.
Aureliano Torres combines well with Nestor Ortigazo, yet the former's shot was of a poor quality to even trouble Julio Cesar.
Lucas Barrios is adjudged to have strayed offside.
Freekick to Brazil from the left. Neymar tries an inswinging ball which is met firmly by the head of Antolin Alcaraz. Tempo has slowed down in the last few minutes as both sides try to assert their authority in the midfield.
Ganso tries to get past his marker with a lovely turn, but is hacked down looking for a foul. Brazil are keeping the ball, but they are seeking more attacking options as the first half reaches the halfway point.
Marcelo Estigarribia is again causing a bit of trouble on the left flank, this time it's Ramires which nullifies his threat.
PATO!!! Brazil are starting to awake, and a fantastic save by Villar denies the AC Milan striker. Jadson fed his compatriot with a simple through ball, and whilst Pato tried to round the keeper, Villar dived early to bat the shot away for a corner, in which Paraguay cleared quickly. Sign of intent from Pato
It's La Albirroja who are edging the contest thus far, Gerardo Martino's men are dominating on the flanks, with Brazil unable to conjure up gilt-edged changes thus far.
Paraguay are claiming handball, a cross from the right struck Daniel Alves on the arm, but the Barcelona right-back was perhaps unable to move out of the way. Harsh to have penalised that.
Delightful ball searches out Alexandre Pato, but the stirker's touch was too heavy to trouble Villar, who clutches the ball gratefully.
Neymar tries to bobble in between the rearguard of Paraguay. Eventually the ball richochets to Justo Villar. The Selecao are playing the early stages in a slow-tempo, and will have to up the game if they are to dominate.
A freekick from the left into the area has failed to materalise into something serious for the Paraguayans. They've had much of the early chances so far.
Decent start to the game, wonderkid Neymar has gone down after an incident from a defender. Much of the attention of this game will be on the much-hyped about Santos hitman. Can he live up to the occasion?
SANTA CRUZ!!! Close from the Paraguay man, after brilliant play from Lucas Barrios. After a delightful through ball, the on-loan Blackburn striker blazed over. Hearts in mouths early on from Brazil
Colombian referee Wilmar Rondon gets us underway.
About to begin here in Cordoba. Pleasant afternoon in the Argentine city.
I'm Mohammed Ali, and you can get involved by tweeting your thoughts to @mohammedali_93 on Twitter. Should be a cracking game in Cordoba this afternoon.
Interesting team selection from Mano Menezes as he has opted to drop Robinho in favour of Shakhtar Donetsk's Jadson, however they are otherwise unchanged in a 4-2-3-1 formation. Paraguay lineup with their expected side, and witha 4-4-2 formation, with the emphasis on their experienced back-line.
For Paraguay: Villar ; Veron, Da Silva, Alcaraz, Torres; Vera, Ortigoza, Riveros, Estigarribia; Santa Cruz, Barrios Subs: Barreto, Fernandez, Marecos, Caceres, Piris, Santana, Barreto, Victor Caceres, Martinez, Hernan Perez, Zeballos, Haedo Valdez
Here are the line ups: Brazil: Julio Cesar; Dani Alves, Lucio, Thiago Silva, Andre Santos; Lucas Leiva, Ramires; Jadson, Ganso, Neymar; Pato Subs: Victor, Jefferson, Maicon, David Luiz, Luisao, Adriano, Lucas, Sandro, Elano, Elias, Robinho, Fred
Hello and welcome to Goal.com's LIVE text commentary of the Copa America Group B encounter between holders Brazil and Paraguay in Cordoba, Argentina.
