FRED! The substitute is picked out by Andre Santos with a delightful cross from the left, but sends a weak finish, which Elizaga blocks, and collect.
MAICON! The Inter right-back was released on the right side of the penalty area, and found space to power a shot from outside the six-yard box, which Elizaga managed to block the ball with his chest.
Brazil's defence panic as they struggle to contain Caicedo, who in the end is crowded out by four players in yellow. The Levante man had a great game.
Pato leaves for ex-Olympique Lyon man Fred. The AC Milan striker had a recorded a brace tonight, opening the scoring and forcing the ball past the line for the third.
Maicon with yet another cross from the right, and had Ramires been a few inches higher, he could have headed the ball properly instead of sending it backwards.
A couple of minutes ago Maicon, yet again managed to pierce Ecuador's defence and deliver a cross, which Pato could not managed to reach.

Ganso plays a wonderful through-ball for Pato, who is brought down 25 yards from goal. Meanwhile Elias replaces the Santos midfielder, while Mina comes on for the disappointing Mendez.
Maicon concedes a foul outside the box, and Mendez is about to take the free-kick ... yet another disappointing set-piece by the midfielder as the ball flies over the bar.
GOAL! NEYMAR COMPLETES HIS BRACE! Maicon raced ahead of Ayovi and threaded an inch-perfect cross for Neymar who converted easily from close range.

PATO! What a chance! Brazil broke free on the counter, allowing Ganso to thread a delightful ball for Pato near the penalty spot, who turned with the ball, but sent the ball over the bar from ten-yards out.
MAICON! THUNDEROUS SHOT! The right-back was given space to shoot from 25 yards out, and he sent a stunning shot which Elizaga only managed to deflect over the bar for a corner on the left. That set piece resulted in nothing.

GOAL! BRAZIL ANSWER IMMEDIATELY! Horrible mistake by Elizaga! Neymar found space to shoot from outside the box, powering a thunderous finish, which Elizaga spilt in the path of Pato, who forced the ball over the line to draw the game level!

GOAL! FELIPE CAICEDO SCORES! 2-2! UNBELIEVABLE! Thiago Silva once again allows Caicedo to turn and shoot from just outside the box! The Levante man powered a low shot, which left Julio Cesar with no chance. Dreadful defending fro Brazil.
PATO! Maicon with yet another excellent cross as he found Pato on the left side of the box, who in turn headed just over from seven yards out after squeezing between two defenders.
Brazil in full control now as they pass the ball around comfortably, looking for space to exploit.
Benitez lets it fly from 30 yards out, but his shot flies high and wide. The striker has been very active in this game, but his finishing has not been up to par.
GOAL! NEYMAR PUTS BRAZIL AHEAD! Santos magic here! Ramires found Ganso outside the box, who, with his back facing the goal, turned and released Neymar in the penalty area, and the striker struck a powerful finish past Marcelo Elizaga to restore Brazil's lead!
Thiago Silva is bailed out by Lucio after surrendering possession in the box to Benitez. The AC Milan man has been quite shaky in defence tonight.

The referee blows his whistle for the end of the first half. Brazil started the game hesitantly, but still managed to take the lead. A blunder by Julio Cesar allowed Ecuador to equalise through Caicedo, and they now seem inspired to take down the Samba Boys. Will they succeed? Join us after the break to find out.
ARROYO! WHAT A SHOT AND WHAT A SAVE BY JULIO CESAR! The Ecuadorian managed to fool Lucio with a clever dummy, winning just enough space to thread in a powerful shot for the left corner, which Julio Cesar managed to block with a wonderful dive.
Ecuador win a free-kick on the left, 30 yards from goal, but Mendez delivery is disappointing as the ball flies over the bar.
Another dangerous cross from Maicon is claimed by Elizaga as Brazil seem to be lacking physical presence upfront. The Inter right-back has had a great game so far.
Julio Cesar adds yet another horrible blunder to his collection as Brazil surrender the lead. Can Ecuador stage a comeback and eliminate Brazil from the competition?
GOAL! CAICEDO EQUALISES FOR ECUADOR! The Levante striker was picked out by Benitez outside Brazil's box, and shot straight at Julio Cesar who made a terrible blunder, allowing the ball to go past him. Game on.

ROBINHO HITS THE POST! The AC Milan forward was picked out by Maicon with a wonderful pass on the edge of the box and let it fly, but the ball met the post!
Brazil looked relieved after the opening strike by Pato, and pass the ball much better now.

Cristian Noboa is lucky to escape a red card here as he hacks down Neymar in the centre of the pitch with a lunge from behind. Needless foul by the midfielder, who sees the yellow card.
Appalling defending by Erazo here as he was caught flat-footed, allowing Pato to race well ahead of him. Ecuador now need two goals to qualify for the quarter-finals.

GOAL! PATO HEADS BRAZIL INTO THE LEAD! An opportunistic cross by Andre Santos from the left wing found Pato, who raced ahead of Erazo to head in an unstoppable finish past Marcelo Elizaga.
Questionable decision by the referee as a perfectly good attack by Ecuador is stopped for a non-existent offside after Caicedo released Ayovi in the box.
Ecuador defending in sixes and sevens as Brazil are tightening the grip. Neymar tries to win a penalty with a spectacular dive, but the referee makes the right decision and does not stop the game.
Lucio is shown a yellow card after handballing just outside the box as Caicedo tried to squeeze the ball past him. Mendez sends the free-kick high, wasting Ecuador's best chance so far.
Brazil have been the better team so far, but have failed to produce the decisive pass that would cut Ecuador's tight defence. As mentioned before Brazil need just a draw to progress to the quarter-finals.
Neymar drops deep to collect the ball after a poor attempt of a backheel by Robinho, takes a few steps before shooting a weak effort wide from 20 yards out. Disappointing finish by the youngster.
Minda is on the end of a very tough foul by Ganso in the centre of the pitch. The Santos youngster is happy to escape a booking here as he completely misjudged the situation.
A promising attack on the left wing by Brazil ends with Maicon delivering a poor cross from the right side of the box right into the hands of Elizaga. Nothign breath-taking in this game so far.
Ganso is released in space by Neymar on the left wing, and whips in a delightful cross for Robinho, but Ayovi is at the right place at the right time to head the ball away.
First shot on goal is for Ecuador as Arroyo strikes a dipping shot from the right wing, which Julio Cesar has no trouble claiming.
MAICON! Great run! The right-back stormed down he flank, and managed to get past Ayovi before crossing low in the penalty box, where Elizaga claimed the ball ahead of Ganso.
CAICEDO! Great dribbling from the Levante man! The striker was picked out outside the box and managed to tip-toe the ball ahead of Thiago Silva and Maicon, but the Inter defender managed to recover and clear the ball.

It is a crucial match for both teams as the winner is going to qualify at the expense of the defeated side. Brazil need only a draw to go through, while Ecuador have to pick up a win to make it to the quarter-finals. No one expects the much fancied Samba Boys to crash out even taking in account their two disappointing games at the tournament so far, but stranger things have happened.
