Some stats to round us off; Bayern had 13 shots (from 24 attempts) and 65 percent possession, while Hamburg had 35 percent possession and only one shot on target (from three attempts). That's it from me, make sure to check out Goal.com for the full time report and match reactions!!!
FULL TIME. Bayern will be over the moon with this thrashing, although Hamburg's resistance was frankly pitiful. They now sink deeper into the relegation zone, second from bottom, while Bayern move into a logjam with multiple teams on 6 points.
Hamburg have a free kick some 40 yards from goal, but blocked by the wall. Full time only seconds away...
Son goes off and Elia comes on. The Korean has barely had a touch all afternoon.
Really, all that's left is for Muller to grab a goal, he's had about five good chances today.
I think that this is the first time that Hamburg have kept the ball in Bayern's half for more than 30 seconds. Nothing at all comes of it though.
Assist Holger Badstuber
Goal Ivica Olic
OLIC FOR FIVE!!!!! Lahm whips in a great ball from the left, Badstuber beats Bruma in the air to head it back into the six yard box, and Olic dives to nod it home from barely two yards out.Simple really.
Close for Bayern again!! Rafinha feeds Alaba down the right, but Olic just misses his cutback with the goal at his mercy.
Near miss for Bayern, and its Muller again! He chases down a deep through ball past Bruma, but skies his shot into orbit. Just one of those days I guess.
Ribery is replaced by Olic. Cue rapturous applause from the Bayern faithful. Great game for the Frenchman.
Yellow Card Rafinha
Rafinha picks up yellow for a challenge near the halfway line. Probably just eager to get stuck in after having nothing to do all day.
Robben goes off to a standing ovation to be replaced by David Alaba. Transcendent performance from the winger.
Muller goes close again!!! RIbery's clever dink finds Lahm racing down the left flank, his cutback finds Muller at the top of the box but his shot goes over. The young German doesn't have a goal yet, but it's definitely not from a lack of trying.
Robben finds himself free in the box after a fortuitous deflection. He tries to lift the bouncing ball over Drobny, but the Hamburg stopper is having none of it.
Drobny unknowingly gets his legs to Ribery's shot, then Gomez somehow bundles the rebound back into the keeper's grateful hands. Could have easily been another!
Assist Thomas Müller
Goal M. Gómez
AND ITS FOUR!!!!! Mulller struggles to get the ball out from under his feet at the top of the 18 yard area, but does just enough to lift it through to Gomez, who controls and finishes from inside the 6 yard box. Game over, if there were any lingering doubts
Yellow Card Marcell Jansen
Tymoshchuk goes close...somewhat. Robben does a few steopvers in the box and feeds Ribery who lays it off to Tymo, but his piledriver from outside the box flashes a bit too high and wide.
MULLER JUST WIDE!!!! Gomez finds him in the box, he controls it brilliantly but flashes his volley just past the far post.
Yellow Card Anatoliy Tymoshchuk
Comment from @hind45iain: "Arjen Frank = Highway Robbery!" Succinct.
Here we go again!!!!!!!
HALF-TIME, and what a first half for Bayern. They have played Hamburg off the park, and Robben is as menacing as I've ever seen him. Neuer might as well have taken the afternoon off, such has been his insignificance.
Remember, you can tweet your thoughts to @keeghann, best ones will be mentioned during commentary
Muller again!!! He breaks through the Hamburg defensive line finding himself one-on-one with Drobny, but rushes his shot and allows the keeper to save. Gomez meanwhile was pulling away on the right and probably could have been found with a little craft.
MULLER HITS THE POST!!!! Another peach of a ball from Robben on the right flank is chested down by the young German, but his toe poke bounces agonizingly off the woodwork, Should have been 4
Ribery and Robben almost combine again but Robben fires wide when he probably should have struck it first time. Regardless, its clear that Robbery is on full throttle today
Yellow Card Michael Mancienne
Mancienne picks up yellow for a flying challenge on Robben. Risky from the former Chelsea man
Goal Arjen Robben
GOOOOOOAAAALLLLL!!!! ROBBEN WITH A BEAUTY!!!!!! The flying Dutchman lives up to his nickname, marauding down the right flank, splitting two Hamburg defenders and lifting the ball over Drobny. Absolutely brilliant, 3-0, and Hamburg look finished.
Yellow Card Heiko Westermann
DROBNY GREAT SAVE!!! From nearly an identical position as the first goal, Robben whips in another free kick, Gomez dives onto it but the Hamburg stopper produces a superb reflex stop.
Bayern have been dominant, and Jupp Heynckes must rightfully be happy with what he's seen so far. Neuer has been a virtual spectator
Some beautiful interplay from Robben and Ribery carves Hamburg open, but the Frenchman's shot at the top of the box is blocked. Seconds later, Muller fires a tame drive into Drobny's hands.
Lazy from Gomez, starts his run from a clearly offside position
Hamburg's rare forays into Bayern territory are proving fruitless so far. Heung Min-Son has barely had a look in.
Assist Thomas Müller
Goal Franck Ribéry
RIBERY GETS THE SECOND!!!! 2-0 BAYERN!!! A cutback from the right byline by Muller is controlled by the Frenchman and slotted home calmly from 6 yards out. Good finish, but questionable defending by Hamburg to allow Ribery time to control and shoot.
Assist Arjen Robben
Goal Daniel Van Buyten
GOOOOOOOOOOOAALLL!!!! Van Buyten justifies his inclusion with the opener! A teasing free kick from Robben on the right is nodded in by the big Belgian. 1-0!!!!!
Now Aogo himself needs a bit of treatment on the sidelines
Aogo gets yellow for a crunching tackle on Robben, but thankfully for Bayern, the Dutchman is soon back on his feet.
Yellow Card Dennis Aogo
Slow start here, both sides still feeling each other out.
And we're off!!!
Both sides have been far from convincing to start the new campaign, only picking up their first points last weekend after opening day losses, Bayern needed a last-minute Luiz Gustavo strike to get past Wolfsburg 1-0, while Hamburg conceded in the 88th minute at home to Hertha to draw 2-2
Throughout the match, you can also send me your thoughts or comments through twitter (@keeghann)
Robben and Gomez both recover in time to start for Bayern, after nursing slight knocks during the week. Van Buyten and Tymoshchuk also make the first 11 ahead of Boateng and Gustavo respectively.
