Well, this is as good a time as any for me to bid a fond farewell. I've been Daniel Edwards, and I will catch you for the next one. Aud Weidersehen.
A fantastic 90 minutes of football in the Allianz Arena, Bayern will be bitterly disappointed at not taking the win after peppering Ter Stegen with shots, but it could have been a lot worse having gone one down.
90' + 4'
AND THAT'S IT!!!! Somehow Monchengladbach withstand fierce pressure and take a point off the runaway leaders. Great spirit from the away team.
90' + 3'
The last throw of the dice, a corner for Bayern deep into injury time. Cleared once more, a draw is imminent.
90' + 2'
Kroos drags the ball across goal and Gomez dives agonisingly, but he can only put it wide.
90' + 2'
Favre screams at his men to get back as Bayern patiently arm what could be the last attack.
Three minutes injury time here, I don't think my heart could take any more.
GOMEZ!!!!! The Germany international looks destined to score one on one, but in a last-ditch effort Stranzl does brilliantly to rob the ball. Great defending.
A home corner goes to the edge of the box, and is hit by Kroos first time. The ball jinks and bobbles, but Ter Stegen smothers.
If Bayern cannot find a winner, it will leave them temporarily 12 points clear of Leverkusen at the Bundsliga summit; but the second-placed team will have the chance to close the gap to nine this weekend.
Somewhat desperate stuff from the hosts, who pump the ball upfield with little precision in an attempt to up the ante. Ter Stegen, of course, is there to clean up.
They have two attempts from the set-piece, but Bayern clear well and will rearm their attacking efforts.
Rupp just fails to control a cross on the edge of the Bayern area, but it will be a corner for Gladbach.
Another corner for Bayern, Ter Stegen punches and Ribery is waiting on the edge of the area. He shoots, and the ball whistles past the post.
Both teams have now made all three substitutions, Claudio Pizarro has been thrown into the mix to give the hosts even more firepower.
Substitute De Camargo meets the corner with a strong header, but he is adjudged to have fouled Boateng in order to do so.
Ter Stegen again comes up big! He saves from both Ribery and Schweinsteiger, before Arango is robbed at the last minute by Dante. I'm exhausted just watching this match.
A chance for the away team to rest a second as Ter Stegen retrieves a wayward long pass. Just under 15 minutes left on the clock for Gladbach to survive.
Indeed, all the figures point to Bayern's domination. 65-35% possession, 21-7 in shots; but most importantly, 1-1 in the one that really counts.
I. de Camargo
The stats tell the story, 11 corners for Bayern and not one for their rivals. Gladbach, however, are once again solid and clear the ball from danger.
Ribery overlaps and puts the ball agonisingly across the face of goal. Wendt is there, but it will be, once again, a corner for the league leaders.
Die Roten once more in the area, Shaqiri squares for Gomez who looks absolutely furious with himself as he misses the ball and falls over for good measure. Surely, it's only a matter of time before Bayern break through.
Gomez advances with purpose down the right, he goes down and wants a penalty! No, just a corner. And unbelievable! First Dante, then Ribery go close, and it's yet another corner.
It's Alaba with the left... Nowhere near. The full-back launches the ball into the rafters.
Yellow Card Tolga Cigerci
This is another extremely dangerous free kick, Cigerci poleaxes Gomez and this time earns a yellow.
Shaqiriiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii.... Inches, inches away from the goalscorer who watches his free kick graze the crossbar.
Wonderfully fluid stuff from Bayern, who march towards the area with Kroos pulling the strings. Cigerci pulls him down outside the box, this could be trouble...
Muller has space and time in the area, but his backheel finds a white shirt. Never mind, Bayern are back in possession with Lahm; and who is there but Ter Stegen who bravely claims the ball cleanly in the face of pressure from Gomez.
It appears that Gladbach will indeed try to chase all three points, they are now playing well up the pitch and testing the Bavarians.
A chance for the away team, who advance quickly and try to play the ball through for Hermann. Alaba reacts first, and clears well to deny the forward.
We're set up now for an intriguing last 30 minutes. Favre's men retreated alarmingly after the break, will they be more adventurous now, or will they hold on against a Bayern team suddenly in the ascendancy?
Goal Xherdan Shaqiri
GOAAAAAAAAAAAAL!!!!!! Bayern have done it, it's all level!!!! A wonderful lay-off from Ribery at the second time of asking plays in Shaqiri, and the sub rolls the ball home with glee to equalise.
And there's a change of Marios on the field. Mandzukic off, Gomez on in a straight swap up front for Bayern.
Yellow Card Dante
The centre-back is in the middle of everything, earning a booking for an unfair challenge on Mike Hanke.
Shaqiri surges forward, and his pass is diverted out by Stranzl for a corner. Dante meets the cross and..... WIDE!!!! His header goes inches astray.
Ribery is apopletic, he wants a penalty after being nudged over by Marx. But the referee is having none of it.
Bayern have come out a much more dynamic and determined team, they are trying to stretch the visitors across the pitch and only the keeper denied them from taking the advantage.
A very, very tight offside call. Mandzukic threads the ball through to Ribery and he appeared to be level, but the linesman disagrees and calls in favour of Gladbach.
SO CLOSE!!!! Dante plays a wonderful ball for Kroos, who crosses first time into the box. Muller holds up and plays for Schweinsteiger, and his shot is saved brilliantly by Ter Stegen.
Ter Stegen again, leaping like a salmon to claim the cross from Bayern.
And we're back in action, Gladbach kick off the second half.
I predicted a 1-1 draw before kick-off, and it's been no surprise to see Monchengladbach give the Bundesliga leaders a really tough game so far. Bayern are going to have to figure out a way through this rock-solid defence, as despite masses of possession they have showed few signs of equalising.
45' + 2'
And that's half time, Bayern in a fair bit of trouble on their own turf as they enter the break 1-0 down.
45' + 1'
Shaqiri launches a deep centre and Mandzukic does well to get his head to it. Jantschke does equally well to divert it wide, and Gladbach stay firm to survive another corner kick.
Two minutes of injury time called here.
Schweinsteiger is now down after tangling with Cigerci, he's up now but treading rather heavily.
Corner from Bayern and Ribery's effort is met by Muller, who heads over the bar.
Kroos again with the ball and he tries to open up the defence with a curling pass out to the right. It's too long, and rolls out for a goal kick.
It's Toni Kroos, who won the set-piece, to take; but he fires harmlessly over the crossbar.
Cigerci is livid, this time he sees a handball call go against him. It looked clear though, and it's another dangerous Bayern free-kick.
Bayern are going to have to rethink their offensive plan, as working the ball out wide just is not working. Ter Stegen and his defence have been impeccable in dealing with the torrent of crosses coming in.
The first change of the game is imminent. Javi Martinez was a doubt before kick-off and he has come off in some comfort. Shaqiri is the man chosen to replace him.
Marx goes down, gets up with the ball still at feet and is pulled down once again by Bayern. Gladbach have the chance to swing the ball into the area, but Boateng makes a clean header away.
Mandzukic lays off to Ribery out wide, and yet another cross is cleared by Brouwers to save his team. Pressure is building inexorably on Gladbach, their goal now has to be to survive until the break.
What a game this is becoming, Dante is the next man to go close with a towering header that grazes the crossbar. Barely enough time to catch your breath in the Allianz Arena.
Schweinsteiger suddenly flicks the ball towards goal, but Arango is there. The Venezuelan clears off the line!
Ribery once more passes his marker with ease, and Muller is felled after receiving the ball from his companion. A very dangerous free-kick here.
Neuer is saved!!! The Bayern No. 1 came out rather recklessly and was passed by Cigerci, but his team scramble back to clear as the ball rolled perilously towards an empty net.
Yellow Card Havard Nordtveit
TER STEGEN!!!!!! A wicked snapshot from Ribery tested the keeper to the fullest, but he was more than up to the challenge and pushes the ball over the bar.
Ter Stegen claims well from a rather aimless long ball, but the Bayern ground is incensed at what they saw as a push on Muller. There may be a case there.
Mandzukic again takes no prisoners as he rises for a header, but this time he is penalised for a push on Stranzl.
Well well well well well! Bayern have picked up the winning habit over the last two months, but they are going to have to dig a bit deeper now to turn this game round. Their rivals have shown already that they have the ability to defend very effectively.
Penalty Goal Thorben Marx
GOAAAL!!! Too easy for Marx, he slots the ball into the corner as Neuer stays immobile. Great start for Monchengladbach.
Penalty Gladbach!!! Cigerci tries to cross, and in Boateng's attempt to stop he uses his hand. Marginal, but probably the right decision.
Martinez does well to win the ball in a dangerous area, and float it across the area. There is nobody to meet it, and it's a simple cushion header back to Ter Stegen for Janschke.
Mandzukic tussles and wrestles in the area, and is the first to reach Ribery's cross at the far post. There is little weight on the header though, and it dribbles wide of the left upright.
Gladbach flash a cross across the face of Neuer's goal, but Lahm is the first to react and clears with authority. Much better from the away team, who are starting to play with more confidence.
Gladbach finally enjoy some decent ball, knocking around well through Marx and Cigerci. Dante finally ends the play by smashing out for a throw, and the visitors end up ceding control of possession once more.
This time a free-kick for Die Roten, Janchske takes down Ribery from behind. More possession for the home team, who are looking very comfortable so far.
Nordtveit tries to take a touch in the middle, but he is immediately flattened by Javi Martinez. A booking is spared for the Spanish star, but he could well have seen a card there.
You cannot keep the Frenchman out of this game! A loose ball arrives at his feet after a rushed clearance, and first time on the volley Franck sends it into the atmosphere.
Magical stuff from Ribery, he leads the defence a merry dance with tricks, flicks and jinks. The cross is a low one, but Ter Stegen gets down bravely to pinch it from Muller's feet.
Ribery does well on the left and swings in a cross, the man sneaking in is Muller. He heads towards goal, but the effort is tame and controlled by the keeper.
Straight away Bayern settle into control of the ball, it's tough to remember a single touch for Gladbach aside for a couple of clearances.
Manuel Neuer comes a long way out of goal to clear a loose ball, and his reward is a late hit from Hanke. The striker is warned not to do that again.
Schweinsteiger is free and onside, Boateng finds him with a long ball over the top. The midfielder hesitates though, and it's cleared well.
And we're off! Bayern get us started in front of their own fans.
The teams are coming out onto the pitch, a special day for Dante who takes on his old team for the first time.
And our esteemed visitors... Ter Stegen - Jantschke, Stranzl, Brouwers, Wendt - Cigerci, Nordtveit, Marx, Arango - Herrmann, Hanke.
Let's have a look at today's teams, shall we? The home team first: Neuer - Lahm, Boateng, Dante, Alaba - Martinez, Schweinsteiger - Müller, Kroos, Ribery - Mandzukic.
Bayern kick off the weekend's Bundesliga action, which means they can open up a whopping 14-point lead - at least for a day. Their rivals are no fools, though, and have proved devilishly tough to beat in recent weeks.
Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, children of all ages, hello and welcome to Goal.com's coverage of Bayern Munich vs. Borussia Monchengladbach. My name is Daniel Edwards, and I will be bringing you all the action from Bavaria this evening.
