The attacker had his worse game in recent weeks. He simply could not get the better of Dortmund's brilliant back-line and was left frustrated throughout the game.
Unlucky to see a goal chalked off for offside in the first-half. He worked hard but found it difficult to get the better of Subotic and Hummels, the meanest centre-back partnership in the Bundesliga.
The young Australian looked calm and assured on his first start in the Bundesliga. He made several decent saves including a brilliant stop to deny Gomez in the second-half.
The Serbian defender was a colussus at the back. Gomez and co. could not get the better of him throughout the game. Solid in the air and awesome in the tackle. Great perfomance.
The Polish defender looked sturdy throughout and was able to keep Ribery quiet for the majority of the game, testament to how much the right-back has come on in recent months.
The left-back had a solid game. He attacked well as always and dealt with Robben's trickery with a little help from Grosskreutz. Could be Germany's left-back for years to come.
The former Bayern man should be proud of his performance. His defensive game was great and he scored a fine header to all but end Bayern's title aspirations.
The former 1860 Munich man would have enjoyed this victory. He was the perfect foil for Sahin's creativity in the middle. Stopped Schweinsteiger from dictating the play in the centre of the park.
The youngster put in an outstanding performance against the champions. He was always looking to create chances and the Bayern defence were scared of the 18-year-old. Worked tirelessly to help out his defence.
Astonishing work-rate from the German international. He never stopped running tonight and even found time to set up Barrios for the opening goal.
Man of the match. The Turkish midfielder controlled the tempo of play in the middle of the park and was involved with everything good about Borussia's game this evening. His goal to make it 2-1 was a brilliant finish.
The Paraguayan international was on top form this evening. The finish for BVB's opening goal was brilliant and he worked hard throughout the game, holding the ball up expertly.
The Polish striker played in a more withdrawn role and worked hard for his team. Linked up well with Barrios. Looks settled in the Dortmund side.

The Brazilian came on at half-time and was an improvement on Badstuber. His positioning was good and he steadied the Bayern back-line.
