• Allianz-Arena, München
Referee: M. Weiner
• Attendance: 69000
M. Mandžukić 6'
T. Müller 11'
R. Lewandowski 75'
And that's full time! Bayern have won their fifth DFL-Supercup. Mario Mandzukic and Thomas Muller got Bayern off to a flyer within 11 minutes, and although Dortmund had the better of the second half, only Robert Lewandowski could find the back of the net. A great start to the season for the Bavarians, and perhaps a psychological boost ahead of the new season?
90' + 3'
Lewandowski beats Dante in the air, but Neuer gathers it up. That should be that...
90' + 2'
Schieber tries to release Gotze down the left, but the 20-year-old can't quite get to it, and the ball runs out of play for a Bayern throw in.
90' + 1'
Hummels tries to make things happen with an ambitious angled ball into the box, but Neuer confidently claims it once again.
And we're going to have three minutes of added time now. Three short minutes for Dortmund to grab an equaliser, and thus stop Bayern from claiming their fifth Supercup title.
We're in for a controversial finish here as Lahm appears to handle the ball in the box after Schmelzer tried to chip it across the face of goal. Klopp is furious on the sidelines, but replays showed that it struck the Germany captain's chest.
Huge anticlimax as Reus tries to find Subotic, who had made a great run behind the Bayer defence, but over-hits the free kick, sending it harmlessly behind.
Time really is running out for Dortmund now. They have just three minutes to cancel out Bayern's lead, and prolong this match. They have a free kick around 35 yards from goal...
And now we have the entry of Shaqiri. He comes on for Robben and starts his Bayern career with a five-minute cameo tonight. Big things are expected of this kid...
Down the other end, Robben shrugs off a challenge from Mats Hummels, beats a string of men down the right wing, cuts inside, and unleashes a ferocious shot which Weidenfeller does well to beat away.
How many chances do Dortmund need? Once again, Gotze and Reus combine brilliantly, and as the former is released in the box, he scuffs his shot and Neuer makes an easy save. He really, really should have equalised there - he only had the keeper to beat.
Yellow Card Arjen Robben
Robben gets a booking after winning an aerial challenge with Schmelzer, but then throwing himself to the floor.
Perhaps sensing the danger, Heynckes has brought on Anatoliy Tymoshchuk to shore things up in midfield. Franck Ribery, who can be proud of his efforts today, is the man sacrificed.
Schieber suffers a rather dramatic reversal of fortunes as he gives away a free kick with a clumsy tackle on Lahm. Bayern have a set piece in a threatening area.
SO CLOSE!!! Gotze threads a delicate ball through to Schieber, who almost announces himself to Dortmund fans in style, only to see his left-footed drive flash narrowly wide. So, so close.
So, the game is well and truly on now as Dortmund finally take one of their chances. Can the champions pull off the comeback?
Assist Julian Schieber
Goal Robert Lewandowski
GOAL!!! Lewandowski collects the ball with his back to goal, swivels, and unleashes a beautifully-placed effort into the bottom corner. It whistled into the back of the net from 20 yards!
Reus can only send the resulting free kick straight into the wall. Time is running out, now
Here we go. Dortmund have a free kick just outside the box as Lewandowski is hacked down by Boateng. Great opportunity to pull one back now...
Meanwhile, Dortmund have introduced summer signing Julian Schieber in the place of Kuba. They're going all-out now...
And now Bayern are making their first substitution. Emre Can makes way for Holger Badstuber. The Germany youth international can be very, very proud of his debut, the yellow card aside.
Yellow Card Mario Mandzukic
Mandzukic picks up a booking now for a robust aerial challenge on Schmelzer. He protests, but can have no complaints, really.
What. A. Miss. Reus and Gotze combine perfectly in the box, before the former sets up Lewandowski. The No.9 should have an easy finish, but Philipp Lahm sticks out a leg to ensure that it goes wide. Heroic defending, but Lewandowski should really have scored.
ROBBEN!!! The Dutchman twists and turns, leaving a number of Dortmund players in his wake, before unleashing a ferocious left-footed shot from 20 yards that Weidenfeller managed to pad away. That was certainly sneaking into the bottom corner.
The cavalry have arrived. Mario Gotze and Perisic take to the pitch, with Jurgen Klopp sacrificing both Moritz Leitner and Grosskreutz. Dortmund are really going for it...
Bayern threaten now with some crisp passing in the BVB half, but their good work is largely undone when Gustavo elects to shoot from about 35 yards and sends his shot well over.
Dortmund are preparing not one, but two substitutions, with Ivan Perisic and Mario Gotze lying in wait on the sidelines.
Brilliance from Robben and Ribery. The Frenchman plays a beautiful back heel to release the Dutchman down the right. He attempts to pull it back to Mandzukic, but the former Wolfsburg man is closed out, and it goes out for a throw.
Both teams have fairly strong reinforcements on the bench. Dortmund could well introduce Mario Gotze, who has had an eye infection lately, and Bayern will almost certainly give a debut to Xherdan Shaqiri. We could use a bit of fresh blood here.
Schmelzer, again, makes good ground down the left, but his eventual cross is lacking in imagination, and Can heads it away.
Dortmund's rhythm may well be broken now as we are forced to sit through a pitch invasion from one Bayern fan with No.11 on the back of his jersey. I don't think it's actually Xherdan Shaqiri, though...
And another great opportunity! Robben gives away a free kick with in a threatening position, and Reus delivers a great ball into the middle. However, Hummels can only glance it wide when he should have been hitting the target.
BVB are going to have to start taking their chances here. This time Piszczek makes a dart down the right and pulls it back to Reus, who swings a boot at it, and sends it narrowly wide of Neuer's post.
So close! Gundogan tries to thread a ball through the Bayern defence, but Lewandowski can't quite latch on to it. Much better from Dortmund.
That could have been the game. The ball fell to Muller just inside the box, but as he tries to get the ball out of his feet, a Dortmund body comes across and makes the tackle.
GREAT SAVE!!! Reus takes the corner for Dortmund again, and this time he finds Lewandowski standing around eight yards from goal, but Neuer is there to pad the ball to safety when it looked as though the Pole had clawed one back.
Grosskreutz gets involved for the first time here, making a darting run down the left, and winning a corner.
Dortmund attack down the left now, with Reus at the fore, but when they thread the ball through to Lewandowski, he's caught narrowly offside.
And we're back! Bayern get the second half started, but the onus is completely on Dortmund to claw their way back into this fixture.
The teams are back out. Only 45 minutes for Dortmund to come back from this.
We're just minutes away from the start of the second half here. Could Bayern's probable win here make them Bundesliga favourites? Or can Dortmund recover and deal yet another psychological blow to Heycnkes' troops? Don't go anywhere...
Incidentally, Kevin Grosskreutz has touched the ball a mere 10 times today. Dortmund's play has been focused down the right so far, but that's still shockingly low. Not what you want to see from a hard-working winger....
And that's half-time. Who saw that coming? Bayern have cruised through the first half after taking a two-goal lead in the opening minutes of the match. Mandzukic and Muller got the goals, and the Croatian has been particularly impressive on his debut for his new side. 2-0 it is, and Dortmund have a lot of work to do.
Robben plays a good ball to Kroos, who cannot quite reach it, and Subotic recovers possession and clears.
Once again, Neuer takes complete command of his area as he jumps up to claim a cross from Schmelzer, who had made a great run down the left.
Robben recovers in time to take the resulting free kick himself, but he perhaps should not have taken it, as it fails to clear the first man.
Yellow Card Marcel Schmelzer
Schmelzer becomes the first player in a yellow shirt to be carded as he slides in and brings down Robben, who was leading a Bayern counterattack. Cynical challenge, and the Germany international was rightly booked.
Kuba latches on to a long ball from Schmelzer, but can't quite bring the ball down properly. He's forced to go backwards, and Dante eventually deals with the danger.
Yellow Card Emre Can
And Emre Can becomes the second Bayern player to pick up a booking today. He strode forward from midfield, and as the ball got away from him, slid in and made contact with Kuba's ankles. It looked horrible at first, but a booking was the right decision in retrospect.
At the other end, Schmelzer has a chance to swing in a free kick of his own, but Neuer confidently claims the ball.
CHANCE!! Kroos dinks a lovely ball in towards Dante who heads it back to Muller. The Germany forward blasts a powerful shot over, but it would not have counted: the Brazilian had been flagged offside.
Great chance for Bayern to add to their lead here as Subotic brings down Ribery a few yards outside the box.
The pace has really died down now. Dante, who has made a steady start to his Bayern career, tries to play a long ball forward towards Mandzukic, but Dortmund regain possession, and keep calm, despite Ribery and Muller chasing them down.
Piszczek gets forward once more down the right, but his cross is easily cleared. Nowhere near enough imagination in that.
After the break-neck start to the game, things have calmed down a little bit over the last few minutes. Dortmund seem to be missing Sven Bender's presence in midfield, and Bayern, perhaps remembering their defeats to Dortmund, over the last couple of years, don't seem eager to pour men forward.
Yellow Card Luiz Gustavo
Gustavo picks up the first booking of the day for cynically bringing down Kuba as the Pole looked to break. Good decision from the referee.
Mandzukic, who has played excellently so far, makes good ground down the right, and crosses, but Weidenfeller claims it confidently.
Reus, perhaps remembering his goal against Bayern for Gladbach back in January, chases down Neuer, but the Germany keeper does not make a mistake this time, and clears it calmly.
The chorus of applause rings out around the Allianz Arena as Lahm dispossesses Schmelzer on the byeline. Dortmund are certainly starting to look more threatening though...
Lovely stuff from Dortmund again. Piszczek gets forward down the right, as he always does, and crosses the ball into the middle. Lewandowski tries to chest the ball down into his own path, but Neuer is quick and gets off his line to claim it.
Reus and Lewandowksi combine beautifully, but as the Pole attempts to chip the ball back to the Germany attacker, he's caught narrowly offside. That's the sort of thing Dortmund need to do more often.
Reus takes an out-swinging corner, but it fails to threaten the Bayern defence. Heynckes' side are certainly up for this, and are winning all the key battles.
Kuba wins a corner for Dortmund in the right-wing... Could be a good opportunity for them to get a foothold in the game.
Robben takes a free kick just outside the Dortmund half. He tries to hang a ball in there for his team-mates to attack, but it's well over-hit and fails to trouble the champions.
Kroos squanders the chance to threaten with a free kick mid-way through the Dortmund half - it swings away from everyone and goes behind for a goal kick.
Well, there is certainly a calmer atmosphere in the Allianz Arena now. Before Bayern took the lead, it was evident that the fans were nervous about their team meeting their fierce rivals, but all that tension has lapsed.
Neuer beats Lewandowski in a foot-race as they both try to latch on to a loose ball. A classic moment from the Germany goalkeeper - he just seems to be so cool under pressure.
Reus is fouled in midfield by Gustavo. He's been dropping quite deep so far, but Dortmund will certainly need him in the final third if they are to recover from this two-goal deficit.
Goal Thomas Müller
GOAL!!! Robben bounds clear of the Dortmund defence, bears down on goal, and dinks a shot against the woodwork. However, Muller is there to slam the ball into the roof of the net. 2-0 to Bayern, and Dortmund are up against it now...
That's more like it! Kuba runs forward, and plays in Reus, who is dispossessed well by Dante.
So, a great start for Bayern here. Can the champions recover and get their noses ahead? They're looking calm in possession, but haven't carved Bayern open yet...
SO CLOSE!! Robben links up well with Ribery and prods the ball through to Mandzukic, who takes a shot, but it takes a deflection and loops over the bar. Weidenfeller was struggling!
Assist Franck Ribéry
Goal Mario Mandzukic
GOAL!!!!! Bayern get off to the perfect start! Ribery bounds down the left, centres the ball with the outside of his right foot. It narrowly evades Subotic and Hummels, and Mandzukic is there to open up his account at the Allianz Arena. Great goal!
Things are looking tight in the centre of the park at the moment. Bayern are in possession of the ball, but are being harried every step of the way by Dortmund, who have started in a determined manner.
Marco Reus' first involvement in a Dortmund shirt is giving away a free kick in midfield. Bayern take it quickly and Mandzukic sets up Muller, who flashes a header over the bar.
Dortmund are unable to take advantage of the set piece, with Mandzukic rising high and heading the ball clear. BVB recover possession, and build from the back again.
Dortmund win a free kick in a threatening area as Emre Can brings down the on-rushing Piszczek down the right wing.
And we're off! Borussia Dortmund get the match under way and immediate settle into a spell of possession at the back, with Subotic buying a thow-in off Ribery.
The teams are out, and we're seconds away from kick-off...
So. Who has a prediction? Can Dortmund make six in a row against Bayern? Can Bayern get their season off to the perfect start and claim the first silverware of the season? You can get in contact with me via Twitter (@eniskoylu). I look forward to hearing from you...
Dortmund: Weidenfeller; Piszczek, Subotic, Hummels, Schmelzer; Gundogan, Leitner; Kuba, Reus, Grosskreutz; Lewandowski. So Moritz Leitner gets a chance to impress in midfield as Marco Reus makes his long-awaited BVB debut.
Bayern: Neuer; Lahm; Dante, Boateng, Gustavo; Kroos, Can; Robben, Muller, Ribery; Mandzukic. So three debutantes in the Bavarians' starting line-up.
And we're back! The German season is finally getting under way as Bayern Munich host Borussia Dortmund in the DFL-Supercup. These two sides shared a fierce rivalry last season, and it promised to be a thrilling encounter.
