Was out of his goal as quick as a flash when a Hyypia header failed to clear the danger. Otherwise had very little to do but made an excellent one-handed stop to deny Schulz.
Composed at the back, didn't dive into the tackle unnecessarily. Also stuck very well to his position as Leverkusen held a defensive shape Hannover could not break down.
Perhaps fortunate to get away with what looked like a foul on Abdellaoue and also failed to clear his lines with an unconvincing header inside his own box. Was also left for dust by Ya Konan though did improve in the second-half when he read the game well, making some good tackles.
Didn't make much of an impression going forward. Sometimes was caught narrow, which allowed Cherundolo room to come down the right. That said, he was solid and won most of his duels.
Again was involved at both ends of the field and played the closest to Kiessling. Won the ball in midfield and also caused trouble in attack, taking his goal superbly. Covered a lot of ground and ensured the lone striker was rarely isolated. One of the players of the season.
Took his goal superbly, keeping his cool to stroke the ball home under Zieler. Was as steady as ever in midfield, retained possession very well and committed the old crafty foul for the team's cause.
Back in the starting line-up after his long battle with injury - he notably slid in on Sergio Pinto and was lucky to escape a yellow. Played some good balls out to the flanks and will feel he should have done better from a header inside the box. Still working his way back to his best but early signs are encouraging. There's life in the old dog yet.
Once again thrust further forward after his two-goal showing last week in the derby and played one good cross to pick out Kiessling. He caused lots of problems coming in off the left, showed a good awareness of where his team-mates were, as evidenced by his superb assist for the second goal.
Made a timely intervention early on to foil Ya Konan and won three out of his four duels. Let Abdellaoue have one free-header but for the most part very solid and continues to do a sterling job at centre-half.
Playing as the lone striker, he looked to get in behind the Hannover defence but often mistimed his runs and was offside. Overall, an underwhelming showing.
Had no chance for either of the two goals and to his credit did what he could to narrow the angle for the second. Never once looked fazed by the occasion and made one good take from a free-kick.
Couldn't get near Vidal in the build up to the first goal in the initial phase and his lack of mobility exposed his defence on a few occasions.
Not sure how many Volkswagens he's worth on this performance but he was very solid at left-back. Came close to a goal but was thwarted by a fine save from Adler.
Kept his position well on the left side of midfield, preventing Schwaab foraying forward at will. However, was no threat in attack and was replaced by the more incisive Djakpa.
He didn't cover himself in glory before the Leverkusen opener when he failed to clear his lines, allowing Kiessling to lay the ball off. Failed to pick up the run of Rolfes for the second. Not the happiest of returns to his former club.
Leverkusen found a lot of joy down the right-hand side with Castro causing the American problems though the captain was a little better going forward into the space vacated by Stindl.
An outlet early on, his touch wasn't always the best. Looked to join the play infield and had his side's first half-decent shot on goal.
Quiet going forward although that is not his primary role in this side. Did lose out a lot in the tackle though. Sacrificed in the second-half as his side needed more attacking impetus.
Michael Ballack's nemesis certainly didn't land himself in any serious hot water this evening. Did trip Ballack and in truth spent more time worrying about the veteran than he did influencing the game.
D. Ya Konan
Made a couple of intelligent runs into the channels but had little joy early doors, other than a shot wide. Missed a gilt-edged opportunity on his left peg when he shot over and it wasn't one of his better showings this season.
A quiet first-half as the Leverkusen defence paid particular attention to the Norwegian. Missed a golden opportunity to score with a near-post header as neither strike partner really shone tonight.

Brought on with 20 minutes to go to add some pace and dynamism down the left-hand side. Had one promising burst upon coming on but faded thereafter.
- 5 M. Eggimann
Introduced with just over ten minutes left without having much of an impact on proceedings at all.
Introduced just before the hour as Hannover chased the game. Had enough of the ball but couldn't put his possession to good use as he looked unsure of himself.
