It's now eight games since he conceded and as in many of those, he had little to do this evening. Came racing off his line to punch clear in the first half and made one good save from Alvaro, but it was otherwise a quiet night for the keeper.
A constant threat down the left, it was the Brazilian's cross which Nsue handled as Barca won a penalty. Tried to win another spot-kick as he threw himself dramatically to the ground. Set up the second for Messi and was full of energy.
Apart from a couple of early scares, the Frenchman looked comfortable at the back in the first half but was replaced by Pique at the break.
Looked back to his best after some indifferent form of late. Played some neat one-twos with Messi, set up the Argentine's third goal with an excellent cross and netted a cracker with a thunderous drive right at the end. Also made one great defensive clearance.
Fired just wide with a decent effort on the stroke of half-time and almost got on the end of a Thiago free-kick after the interval. Good passing and work-rate, the Mali midfielder continues to form a valuable part of this squad.
Linked up well, kept it simple in midfield and had little defensive work to do. Replaced by Puyol after 57 minutes.
His mistake in the first half let in Alvaro, while Joao wasn't picked up as he went through early on. Comfortable otherwise, though, and moved into midfield later on when Pique and Puyol came on.
Neat passing in midfield and worked hard to win the ball back for the Catalans. Looks more and more composed in this side and rarely gave away possession these days. Almost set up Keita as he whipped in a dangerous second-half free-kick.
Wasted a great shooting opportunity early on and saw another effort saved by Aouate when the score was 1-0. Worked tirelessly and combined well with Messi on a couple of occasions in the first period. Replaced with just under half an hour left.
Back to his brilliant best after an off-colour performance against Granada. Scored a first-half hat-trick as he converted a penalty and two other fine finishes. Came close to his 200th Barca goal with a free-kick in the second half and a late effort which went just wide.
Went the right way for the penalty but Messi's spot-kick was too good. Made one very good save from Villa and did well to keep out Messi's free-kick in the second half. Could do little about any of the goals.
Given the runaround by Adriano and David Villa as both of the first goals originated from that sector of the pitch. Coped better against debutant Deulofeu, but the game was all over by then.
Chico came through the ranks at the Catalan club and once famously man-marked Xavi while at Almeria. The Barca midfielder was left out of the side on this occasion, but the defender had a torid time anyway. Well off target with one late effort after beating two.
Poor positioning from the centre-back, who was caused all sorts of problems by Messi. Replaced just after the break following a nightmare first half.
The midfielder has has a rapid rise since signing for Mallorca B earlier this year. He showed some neat touches and set up Joao for a wonderful opportunity early on but was left chasing shadows for the most part, though, and struggled in the left-back role.
Was run ragged in midfield as he attempted to contain the Catalans. Made some good tackles and worked tirelessly before he ran out of steam and was eventually replaced after 75 minutes.
Failed to hit the target when he was clean through after six minutes as Mallorca started brightly. Largely absent after that as the islanders were overrun in midfield.
Mallorca needed some inspiration from Castro but it never arrived. Nothing went right for the Uruguayan, who was hardly involved and didn't offer much defensively, either.
One dangerous cross which was cut out by Alves after 10 minutes, but little else from the Argentine, who lost possession on several occasions and was replaced after 48 minutes.
Poounced on Mascherano's mistake but shot straigth at Valdes. Little service apart from that and was unable to offer a real outlet for his side up front.
His clear handball saw Barca win a penalty on 12 minutes, which Messi converted. Shocked the Camp Nou crowd as he scored to earn Mallorca a point in last season's corresponding fixture, but that never looked likely this time around.

Came on for Abidal just after the break and slotted in impeccably at the back. Saw a goal-bound effort cleared off the line late on. Good passing as usual, but sent one stray pass into touch.
Little to do as he returned from injury as a second-half substitute. Looked comfortable alongside Pique, though, as he kept the passing simple. Gives Barca an air of authority at the back.
- 35 Martín Montoya
- 8 Iniesta
- 4 Fàbregas
Became the latest Barca youth player to make his debut for the Blaugrana, but apart from one run on the left he had little opportunity to show his considerable talent as the tempo slowed down late on.
- 1 Calatayud
Replaced Ramis as Mallorca looked to tighten up defensively but Barca went 4-0 straight away as Cuenca was allowed time and space to waltz through the middle.
Gave Mallorca more defensive stability in midfield as he replaced Tissone, but the Catalans continued to control the centre of the park. Added nothing in an attacking sense.
- 7 M. Pereira
Made no real impact after replacing Marti with 15 minutes left.
