Largely untroubled but remained alert when needed to act almost as a libero as Barca stroked the ball around. Made one fantastic double intervention to deny Kone and preserve Barca's unblemished defensive record at home in La Liga this season.
Missed one covering tackle on Valdo but raced back and Barca cleared in the second half. The Catalans were 5-0 up by then anyway and the Frenchman had been key in the fifth with an excellent clearance which was headed on by Alexis and later resulted in the Chilean firing home a deflected effort. Generally solid on the left of a three-man backline.
Started in the centre of a three-man defence for the Catalans and it was perhaps no coincidence that Levante's best opportunity came when he was already off the pitch. Took a knock as he jumped to contest a ball with Kone and his substitution looked to be precautionary ahead of next weekend's Clasico.
Popped up all over the place as Barca dominated. Was overshadowed somewhat on the night by Iniesta and Cesc, but recycled possession superbly and was involved of most of his side's best attacks.
Two great goals - one with his right foot and the other with his head - and that's seven in La Liga for Cesc now this season. A constant danger with his runs from midfield and linked up excellently with both Messi and Iniesta.
Started superbly as he set up Cesc for the opener after four minutes and later added another assist as he left Cuenca one-on-one with Munua. Was desperately unlucky to see a late strike ruled out incorrectly after he lashed a fine shot past Munua following Ballesteros' error.
Stayed strong and kept it simple with his passing in the first half. Was replaced at the break to protect him from a possible booking and suspension in next weekend's Clasico.
Part of the three-man backline alongside Puyol and Abidal and looked comfortable in a position which is becoming his own. Allowed Kone in after Puyol had departed, but saw Valdes rescue him with a fine save.
Not his best game but was still brilliant. His pass for Cesc's opener was key as it split the defence and allowed Iniesta's ball to feed Fabregas. Later scored a neat fourth, should have added another shortly afterwards after he was set up by Cuenca and led the breakaway attack which led to Alexis scoring the fifth. Missed two more very good chances late on.
Was less impressive than on Tuesday night, when he scored twice in the 4-0 win over Rayo. But the Chilean got more into it as the game wore on and was rewarded with a deflected goal to make it 5-0. His impressive jump to win a header was fundamental in that same move which he later finished.
Had an unfortunate evening but couldn't really do anything about any of the goals. Picking the ball out of his net five times was probably what he expected - and he was powerless to prevent it. Made one good save from Messi in the first half, though.
Hardly saw the ball at all on the right flank but tracked back well on occasions to dispossess Alexis.
Led the Levante backline but saw his side overwhelmed as Barca piled forward at every opportunity. Made several good tackles to thwart Messi, Cuenca and Alexis, but allowed the home side far too much space and received insufficient support from his team-mates. Hacked an awful clearance straight to Iniesta, who scored but saw his effort wrongly disallowed late on.
Dealt well with the threat of Alexis for the most part but failed to get tight enough on the Chilean as Barca broke away to make it five. Also earned himself a booking and was replaced shortly after that. One good cross to set up Del Horno, but otherwise disappointing.
The full-back is perhaps best-known for his foul on Messi when he was at Chelsea which resulted in a dismisall in the sides' Champions League second-round match at Stamford Bridge. He won't have happy memories of this, either, as he looked completely out of his depth in central defence. Also inadvertently deflected Alexis' strike into his own net for Barca's fifth. Then ended up injured as well and departed with 15 minutes left.
Struggled all night to deal with Cuenca's pace and trickery as the youngster gave him a torrid time. Pushed back constantly by the Barca canterano and looked out of his depth against the La Masia graduate.
Was included as a shield for his defenders, playing just in front of the defence. But his was a thankless task and he was unable to deal with the Catalans' pace and movement in the centre.
The youngster has enjoyed a fine season but he was virtually non-existent as an attacking threat in this match as the visitors were outpaced and outnumbered in the midfield battle. Worked hard defensively but could do little to prevent the onslaught.
Had little joy down the left-hand side as Levante barely had the ball. Spent most of his time tracking back and was often too deep to help out even when his team did have possession.
Occasional link-up play with Kone as Levante tried to do some early damage and some neat touches in midfield as the visitors looked to fight back from 1-0 down. But faded as the game wore on and Barca dominated.
A lonely presence up front, but he worked hard and his pace caused Barca occasional problems. Should have scored when one-on-one with Valdes at 3-0, but shot straight at the keeper.
- 13 Pinto
- 19 Maxwell
Came on for Carles Puyol after 36 minutes and slotted in on the right as Javier Mascherano switched to a central role. Put through Messi for Barca's fourth with a clever pass and had little to do defensively.
Came on for Busquets at the break and was disciplined defensively in the middle, dropping back to help his defenders when necessary and gave little room to Kone.
- 11 Thiago Alcântara
- 7 David Villa
Came on for Cesc with just under 20 minutes left and came close with one good shot which went just wide. Linked up well with Messi, too.
- 13 K. Navas
Came on late in the game and filled in at the back for the last 15 minutes, but was no improvement on Del Horno.
- 5 Héctor Rodas
- 6 Pallardó
Came on for the last 25 minutes and slotted in at right-back, but looked uncomfortable up against Alexis.
N. El Zhar
Came on as second-half sub but made little impression.
