José Antonio Reyes 76'
I. Rakitić 66'
What an entertaining game which could have gone either way but in the end it's a draw. Four brilliant goals from Koke and Reyes for Madrid, and Negredo and Rakitic for Sevilla were almost outdone by a stunning effort from Negredo late on which struck the underside of the bar. A point may be the fair result as Atletico dominated large parts of the game and squandered a number of chances. What a way to start our evening in La Liga, up next Barcelona...
90' + 3'
Diego Costa chases down a long ball and they have a throw with 20 seconds left.
90' + 2'
Sevilla knock the ball around well but Lopez chests a cross down for De Gea to pick up. He thumps the ball forward.
90' + 1'
Three minutes of added time to play.
Renato is own for Fabiano and Fazio just pokes the ball wide of his own post!! The ball from Diego Costa was between 'keeper and defence and Fazio felt he had to take the chance.
Fabiano is penalised for a push in the box and Atletico have a free-kick in their own area.
NEGREDO!!! OOHH what an effort!! His shot from miles out swerved past De Gea and off the woodwork and Diego Capel is claiming a penalty as he tries to beat Ujfalusi to the rebound!
This has been pure entertainment tonight and it's a shame to say there is under five minutes left. Chance for Diego Costa from a poor clearance but a superb sliding tackle denies the substitute a golden chance.
Reyes slides a long pass towards Aguero but it's just too strong and out of play.
Diego Forlan is replaced by Deigo Costa and Diego Capel is on for Sevilla.
You won't believe this but Aguero has missed again! Javi Varas picked up a back-pass and Tiago reacted so quickly to take the free-kick that Aguero was free, again one-on-one and Varas makes another unbelievable stop!
Aguero again goes close! The forward skipped and jinked his way along the edge of the box but his shot deflects just inches wide.
Kun Aguero just can't get the ball in the net. The Argentine finds himself one-on-one but Varas makes a super save! This could be an explosive finish in the capital.
Assist Antonio López
It's REYES!!! Goal Atletico! Sevilla's lead lasts just ten minutes as Reyes makes the most of the space behind Sanchez to race on to the ball and clinically finish into the bottom corner! 2-2!
Juanfran escapes free in the right channel just inside the box but his pull-back to Aguero is marshalled out.
Sevilla have their second corner of the match but Madrid clear after a sloppy pass following the set-piece.
Disappointment hangs over the Vicente Calderon as Forlan overhits a pass out for a throw. The hosts need to continue as they were before going behind and chances will come; composure is needed now.
Lopez is rather lucky to escape a yellow card as he strikes out with a hefty kick on Fabiano on the floor and then a boot to the knee on Navas. The skipper can't afford a red card here but the Rojiblancos are clearly furious with themselves.
Juanfran is on for Atletico and they need the former Osasuna man now to do something special. This has been an end-to-end game but Atletico will feel they should be winning here.
Assist Jesús Navas González
Goal Ivan Rakitic
Ujfalusi feeds Aguero in the area but excellent defending from Escude. Again Sevilla break quickly, Navas pulls-back and Rakitic!!! GOAL!! A brilliant side foot finish and that's his second in as many games. De Gea could do nothing with that shot.
A poor second touch from Forlan allows Fazio to fly in with a thunderous tackle and Sevilla come forward. Navas has won a corner off Lopez, but the Croatian Rakitic's delivery is too strong.
Reyes delivers a free-kick wide on the right but his ball in is cleared by the head of Fazio. Navarro however, has now conceded a corner, what was he doing?
Dabo tried to run off that earlier knock from Garcia but Sanchez will now replace the full-back for Sevilla.
Yellow Card Fernando Navarro
AGUEROO!! SAVED! Amazing skill to wriggle free and burst into the box but Kun should have scored as he cut in on goal. Varas spread himself well but the shot was blasted at the 'keeper.
Aguero is appealing for a penalty but the referee isn't interested. Forlan cut back inside his marker and whipped in a perfect ball for the Argentine with Dabo all over the striker.
Another super delivery from Rakitic is met by the head of Fabiano but his header is powered into the hands of De Gea, the Brazilian was offside anyway.
Dabo is down and looks in a bad way for Sevilla, the medical team are on and the right-back finally limps off to allow play to continue.
The home team have their third corner of the game and Varas just tips it clear. Throw-in out on the right and Dabo does enough to see out the second wave of danger.
Navarro is the man on the receiving end again, this time Czech defender Ujfalusi sees yellow.
Yellow Card Tomas Ujfalusi
Fabiano has the ball taken away from his toe by Godin, the Brazilian would have been clear on De Gea otherwise.
Navas was again in acres of space on the right for the visitors and Negredo pokes his effort just wide on the stretch! What a chance to restore their lead.
Assist Diego Forlán
GOOOAAALL Atletico!!! Koke has scored with a perfectly placed header. A deep cross from Forlan was met by the winger and Varas scrambled to get back to no avail.
Sevilla break with Navas down the right, whose blistering speed takes him clear of Lopez but Negredo tumbles to the ground in the centre as the cross comes in.
That is half-time and Atletico Madrid need something inspirational to happen in the second period. They have had more shots on target and the better openings but find themselves behind to a Negredo stunner. What can Quique conjure up at half-time? Stay tuned to find out...
45' + 2'
WHAT A CHANCE ATLETICO! That should have been the equaliser but Javi Varas is the hero for los Nervionenses. Forlan broke free down the right and slipped the ball into the path of Aguero, who watches Varas throw a boot out to stop the ball hitting the net. Aguero has now been booked for a rash tackle on Navarro.
45' + 1'
Yellow Card Sergio Agüero
45' + 1'
Aguero works himself into a good position from the left wing but his shot is sliced miles off target.
Rakitic's ball in is flicked towards goal by Escude but the defender was offisde when the former Schalke set-piece specialist clipped the ball in.
Pressure on Quique Sanchez Flores now and what a bad time to concede. Sevilla create another chance, they have a free-kick for a foul on Navaroo.
Negredo turns his marker and sprints down the left flank, his cross is too deep but Sevilla recover. Another cross and it's Negreddoooo!!! What a strike! Dabo's ball was chested down by Perotti and Alvaro Negredo hammers in a volley. 1-0!
Chilean Gary Medel is the first to go into the referee's book, the former Boca man cutting down Reyes on the run.
Yellow Card Gary Medel
OOOHH!! Fabiano!! Best effort yet from the visitors. De Gea was rooted to the spot, as the Brazilian's dipping and curling shot whistled just wide of the right past.
Ujfalusi eases out Perotti wide on the left after the winger's touch was heavy, goal-kick to home side.
De Gea collects Rakitic's cross which is just too heavy but the 'keeper's thumped clearance allows Sevilla to regain the ball.
Manzano won't be displeased coming up to half-time and Sevilla have a free-kick in the centre of the park.
Dominguez goes down clutching his head after a clash with Negredo in the area. There was no intention from the striker but he caught the Atletico defender in the mouth with his elbow.
Just over half-an-hour gone and the best chances have fallen to Atleti despite Sevilla seeing plenty of the ball in the last ten minutes. Negredo goes for the spectacular chip but De Gea collects easily.
Medel gets a foot in on Reyes and sets Sevilla on the front foot once more.
De Gea and Fabiano are having a light argument, as the referee awards a free-kick to the goalkeeper. Fabiano used his body to knock De Gea and was facing away from the ball on contact. Superb build-up play from Navarro and Perotti down the left created the half-chance.
De Gea rushes off his line to prevent Negredo latching on to a through ball. Sevilla are starting to grow in confidence.
Escude and Negredo both stretch to meet a free-kick at the far post but neither can turn the ball back on target, Escude with the final touch into the side-netting.
Aguero battled his way past two men in white, somehow the referee didn't blow for a foul, and Koke is so close to finding Forlan with his low cross inside the box.
Koke gets involved for the Rojiblancos and Lopez overlaps, another throw-in deep in Sevilla territory.
Varas again called into action and this time it's Aguero with a thunderbolt. Reyes spread the ball out to the left to Kun Aguero and the Argentine opted to shoot with support in the box. Not the most convincing punch clear from Varas but it did the job nonetheless.
Luis Fabiano unleashes a very wayward rocket wide to the right of goal. A warning sign for the hosts who gave him just half-a-yard.
Escude is back on the field after a short delay and Forlan is offside when Reyes plays him through. The former Arsenal man just took too long to release. the ball.
Ujfalusi's loose touch in the area allows Sevilla to clear and Raul Garcia blasts a shot straight at Varas who palms the ball out. Escude is down for Manzano's side.
The fans in the Vicente Calderon are in fine voice, as a woeful back pass from Rakitic almost releases Aguero behind Fazio.
Garcia's pass over the top is too heavy for Forlan, the Uruguayan applauds his team-mate for the idea and Sevilla have a moments rest.
Sevilla try to switch the play to Perotti down the left but they are struggling to hold possession at the moment. Can Atleti take advantage?
Madrid are applying some good pressure now, they have a corner with Reyes. Cleared out to the edge of the box and Forlan smashes high and wide.
Navas releases an early cross but Negredo mis-controls and here come Atletico. Forlan with good work down the left, spread to the right and it's Ujfalusi!!! Struck well but the ball flies out for a throw-in on the left.
Rakitic doesn't shy away from a taking the chance to test De Gea from distance, his shot takes a slight deflection but the Rojiblancos' goalie is down well to his left.
Sevilla have a free-kick just in shooting range with Negredo to take, straight into the wall from the striker. Raul Garcia makes a half-clearance and the visitors have a throw.
Both 'keepers have had a touch but no save required yet. Atletico and Forlan have found space down the left, crossed in and REYES!!! Save by Varas but the winger caught his half-volley excellently.
Reyes surges down the right flank and is brought down by Medel 35-yards from goal. Quickly and poorly taken, Sevilla counter with Fabiano.
We are underway in the Spanish capital and Sevilla have a throw on the right with Dabo.
The big news for Atleti is that Diego Forlan has been passed fit and will keep his place alongside Aguero. Sevilla on the other hand see Kanoute ruled out and have gone with a very attacking midfield in search of victory at the Vicente Calderon. Kick-off is 15 minutes away ladies and gentlemen, this should be a cracker!

Atletico Madrid: De gea; Ujfalusi, Dominguez, Godin, Lopez; Reyes, Tiago, Garcia, Koke; Aguero, Forlan.
