Real Madrid never really looked like losing this match, it has been a professional display from Los Blancos!
SO VERY CLOSE FOR KAKA! The Brazilian so close to his hat-trick but his shot goes agonizingly wide of the right hand post!
Close for Gabilondo as the Athletic sub gets on the end of a brilliant cross from David Lopez but sends his volley away from the Real Madrid goal!
Real Madrid are trying to run down the clock now, and with the introduction of Xabi Alonso pulling strings in midfield, Bilbao are not likely to see much of the ball in the remaining minutes.
Great play from Munian and Gabilondo to keep possession for the home side and mount an attack, but a lack of concentration from Iraola gives Real Madrid the chance to regain the ball.
David Lopez has been effective since his introduction. Iraola earns a Bilbao corner kick from a fantastic cross field pass from the substitute.
Both teams make a substitution as Carvalho replaces Garay and Gabilondo replaces the impressive Toquero, who's performance deserves more than a 3-0 defeat!
Castillo attempts to take the game to the Real Madrid by venturing forward but his 25 yard volley seems a little forced and Casillas easily watches the shot evade his goal.
Credit must be given to the home side as they look determined to at least restore some pride in their performance by getting a goal back.

Athletic Bilbao are playing slightly better now, Fernando Llorente has been holding the play up better and was very unlucky not to send David Lopez through with a pass round the back of the Madrid defence that was read by Casillas.
Great play from Toquero down the left hand side to evade the challenge from Sergio Ramos and whip in a cross to his striking colleague Llorente who just sends his header over the bar!

Kaka has had a decent thirty minutes, and nearly slips in Granero but the young Spaniard just strayed offside.
The home side are looking very dangerous on the counter attack, Albiol does very well to clear a way a teasing cross fro Iraola.
Athletic Bilbao are taking no prisoners in their tackling in this game, Pepe is the latest Real Madrid player to be on the end of a very strong tackle.
Higuain misses another chance as he sends a 40-yard lob just over the bar after Iraizoz dashed off his line to intercept Di Maria's pass, but it fell kindly to El Pipa, who failed to punish the hosts!
