Many of his saves were fairly straightforward. Spilled a simple shot onto the post in the first half, and did not need to charge off his line so early on the first goal with Lichtsteiner coming in at a tight angle.
Had all sorts of trouble with the physicality and eagerness of Tevez. Lost the Argentine after a quick Juventus move, allowing him to tap in unmarked at the far post.
Caught out a couple of times at the back with his lack of pace letting him down. Rash decision to slide at Lichtsteiner's pass took him out of the play, preventing him from breaking up the opening goal.
Sloppy defending and a scuffed clearance nearly gifted Juventus a second goal. Afforded Tevez and company far too much space on the left.
Did well for much of the match to limit the threat of Lichtsteiner, but the Swiss got the better of him to set up the opening goal.
Confident and courageous on the ball. Did not shy away from running at the opposition, winning a number of free kicks. His passing from a deep lying role in midfield was also strong.
Tireless running allowed him to contribute at both ends of the pitch. Not clinical enough on the ball, however, and was a bit selfish at times. Still looked one of the bigger threats going forward.
Had arguably Atalanta's best chance of the first half, but firing just wide of the post. Did not provide much cover defensively, leaving Zappacosta isolated. Subbed off after 50 minutes.
Failed to trouble the Juventus defence very much, although he provided some much needed defensive support. Subbed off after 75 minutes.
Had an incredible chance to pull his side level from the spot, but could not beat Buffon with his penalty. It was his only real chance of the match as he never saw much of the ball in attack.
Faded in and out of the match, showing some clever vision at times, but carelessly giving it away as well. Could not threaten the Juventus goal and found no way past Bonucci or Ogbonna.
Did not have a ton of work to do, but guessed right and got across incredibly well to keep out Denis' penalty, preventing the hosts from drawing level.
Did not see nearly as much of the ball as he is used to, but performed his defensive duties well.
Looked ever so lively down the right, setting up the first goal and creating a number of chances at the match went on. Proved a real menace to deal with.
Was lucky not to bring Juventus' clean sheet streak to a halt, conceding a penalty with the game still 1-0. It was a harsh decision, but an unnecessary tackle from the defender nonetheless.
Assisted the second goal with a simple pass to Tevez who did most of the work to finish it off. Contributed well in attack, while having a relatively quiet day at the back.
Very sound performance at the back, while winning nearly every ball in the air. A number of important clearances helped keep the clean sheet in tact.
Atalanta made a point of taking Marchisio out of the game, which limited the midfielder's impact on the match. Smart in possession, and worked some nice one-two moves with the strikers.
A bit careless in possession at times, but looked a real threat with his shooting ability. Never afraid to have a go at goal, testing Sportiello on a few occasions. Moved the ball well up to the strikers.
Very aggressive in midfield, which allowed him to create a number of turnovers. Passed it about nicely and made some great runs into space. Had a number of shots, but could not find his goal.
Looked incredibly dangerous from the first minute to the second he came off. Involved in nearly every move, finally got his goal after 35 minutes, and doubled his side's lead with a tidy shot after an hour.
Eager to get into the attack, but Juventus kept the ball on the ground for the most part which did not play into his strengths. Got on the end of a couple of chances but lacked a good finish.
