Goal.com rates the performers on show at the Parc des Princes as PSG returned to the summit with a hard-earned victory over Remi Garde's side which came courtesy of Blaise Matuidi

    Salvatore Sirigu

A rather quiet night for Sirigu, who largely only had to contend with Lisandro Lopez’s goal-bound effort in the first half. Other than that, nothing of note from the Italian.

  • Thiago Silva

    Thiago Silva

The PSG captain shrugged off an uncertain first few minutes to once more display his superiority at the back. Almost let Lisandro score the opener in the first half, but didn’t look back thereafter.

  • Mamadou Sakho

    Mamadou Sakho

Back in the side after Alex’s injury, the 22-year-old was far more composed in midfield and highlighted this with a couple of assured interceptions.

  • Maxwell

    Maxwell

Rather average in the capital once more. The Brazilian left-back didn’t contribute heavily to the PSG attack, instead focusing on preserving his side’s clean sheet.

  • Christophe Jallet

    Christophe Jallet

The right-back was rather invisible in the first period, but came alive in the second. Attacked well as PSG controlled a lacklustre Lyon side. Could’ve bagged himself a goal with a furious strike which only just went wide.

  • Jérémy Menez

    Jérémy Menez

The 25-year-old’s creativity was of great benefit to those around him. Gave Reveillere a few problems with his pace down the right and was again the source of many of PSG’s attacking ventures.

  • Blaise Matuidi

Blaise Matuidi Top of the Match

The midfielder stepped up to score the opener to cap off a good first half for the ex-Saint Etienne man. Matuidi was typically comfortable on the ball and his experience showed. Fantastic in the second half, with his tireless physique benefitting PSG greatly.

  • Javier Pastore

    3.50

    Javier Pastore

His form rebounded in the last couple of weeks, but the Argentine did well once more tonight, displaying a wide range of passing and attacking abilities. Had two decent chances either side of half-time, but couldn’t work Vercoutre.

  • Thiago Motta
    23
    9
    3.00

    Thiago Motta

Calm in midfield, Motta was combative in the middle of park, as he aimed to stifle Gomis. Did well in the second half as he helped silence a struggling Lyon.

  • Ezequiel Lavezzi
    34
    6
    2.50

    Ezequiel Lavezzi

The former Napoli star did well to set up his team-mates a fair few times. His pace posed one or two problems, and he should’ve put the game to bed, lobbing over the bar. Other than that, though, a rather distinctly average night.

  • Zlatan Ibrahimovic
    74
    26
    2.50

    Zlatan Ibrahimovic

Ibrahimovic was far better supplying his team-mates than attempting his own chances. Picked up an assist for a wonderful cross before Matuidi’s goal, but other than that, was largely isolated and peripheral. Also lucky not to have been sent off for a seemingly deliberate stamp.

    Sylvain Armand

Late appearance from the left back and didn't contribute to much.

  • Clément Chantôme

    Clément Chantôme

Replaced Menez with three minutes left to play. No more than a cameo.

  • Rémy Vercoutre

    2.50

    Rémy Vercoutre

A below-par game from the Lyon goalkeeper, who could’ve perhaps done better with Matuidi’s goal. Still, rallied somewhat towards the end to keep Lyon in it.

  • Dejan Lovren
    18
    5
    2.50

    Dejan Lovren

A decent showing from the 23-year-old, who despite being hassled and harried, produced a competent defensive performance. Tailed off alarmingly, however, towards the end.

  • Anthony Réveillère
    7
    11
    1.50

Anthony Réveillère Flop of the Match

By no means the best game from the France international, as he was often beaten by compatriot Menez on the right flank. Struggled against the winger's pace and trickery.

  • Milan Biševac
    17
    5
    3.00

    Milan Biševac

The Serbia international, formerly of PSG last season, did well to come back from a head injury sustained in the first half to limit the PSG attacks. Burgeoning partnership with Lovren.

  • Samuel Umtiti
    12
    4
    3.00

    Samuel Umtiti

Deputising for the suspended Dabo, the 19-year-old was efficient and alert on the far side, marshalling the likes of Lavezzi well. Tracked back to deny Ibrahimovic in the second half also.

  • Gueida Fofana
    7
    5
    2.00

    Gueida Fofana

Determined from the 21-year-old in midfield. He contributed well, shielding his defence. Teed up Lisandro with a fantastic cross-field pass, but was erratic as the game progressed, and wayward in his passing.

  • Michel Fernandes Bastos
    9
    5
    2.00

    Michel Fernandes Bastos

The Brazilian was rather quiet during the first half and couldn’t assert his authority on the wing. Lacked the urgency to drag Lyon back into the game. Not a great performance from the winger.

  • Steed Malbranque
    9
    7
    2.00

    Steed Malbranque

Powerful in midfield, the former Sunderland and Tottenham man couldn't draw on his creative powers to assist Lyon's cause.

  • Maxime Gonalons
    17
    2
    3.00

    Maxime Gonalons

The Lyon captain showed his potential again, as he worked effortlessly to ensure his side didn’t fall further behind. Competent performance from the young midfielder.

  • Lisandro López
    16
    6
    2.50

    Lisandro López

Lyon’s talisman returned to the starting line-up and can take heart from an energetic performance. Struck the post and gave PSG a headache at the back, but was rather more isolated in the second half as Lyon were easily controlled.

  • Bafetimbi Gomis
    9
    12
    2.00

    Bafetimbi Gomis

Amidst reports that Chelsea and Liverpool were monitoring his progress in this fixture, the dreadlocked striker failed to impress. Upstaged by Lisandro and couldn’t work Sirigu as much. Subbed for Benzia.
