Valencia coach Mauricio Pellegrino will be looking to put the disappointing weekend defeat to Betis behind him as his side begin their Copa del Rey campaign.
However, he will be without the services of injured duo Sergio Canales and David Albelda, both of whom are suffering respective leg and hamstring injuries.
The hosts' coach Oriol Alsina has no fresh injury concerns ahead of the clash following his sides 2-0 weekend Segunda Division B win over Valencia II.
Alsina is likely to persist with the same starting XI for the encounter with La Liga outfit as he looks to cause a first-leg upset.

The Spain international netted a hat-trick during Valencia's recent trip to BATE Borisov in the Champions League and despite not scoring in the weekend defeat to Real Betis, he should be looking to net at the Segunda Division B side.
Llagostera have won just once in their last four encounters at home and despite only winning one in six away, Valencia should have enough about them to pick up a first-leg win and take control of the tie.
