Pulled off a fine save early on to deny Soldado, but was unable to do anything about the striker's goal from the spot. Beaten once more by Soldado halfway through the second half.
Lost sight of Soldado after five minutes of play, before pulling the attacker to the ground in the 45th minute to concede a penalty. Saw his direct opponent net another after the break and had an evening to forget.
Did not have an easy evening against the lively Soldado. Beaten way too easily by the striker in the 15th minute, but was lucky Guardado then mishit his shot.
The right-back occasionally struggled as Cissokho often overlapped Guardado down his side. Allowed the latter all the time and space he needed to create the second goal.
Sloppy play early on almost led to a big chance for Guardado, but did a good job against Feghouli overall. Sent in a fine cross for Rodionov in the first half.
Hleb showed his class with a superb pass for Rodionov in the 12th minute, but was unable to really leave his mark on the game.
Was outmuscled by Gago more than once as the Argentine dominated in midfield. Worked hard, but simply not on the same level as his opponents.
The BATE skipper always worked hard and held his own in midfield. Superb run around the half-hour mark almost led to the opener. Replaced after the interval.
Like Hleb, he too struggled to make an impact against Albelda and Gago. By no means a bad game from the attacking midfielder, but simply not enough to upset Valencia.
Was often forced to track back and defend as Cissokho charged forward time and time again. Largely anonymous as he did not see too much of the ball.
The striker caused the Valencia defence plenty of problems with his opportunistic style of play. Came close to adding his name to the score-sheet a number of times.
Alert whenever called into action. Crucial interception from a low cross in the 30th minute to prevent Rodionov from tapping home. Another good save in the second half only seconds before Valencia went 2-0 up.
Cissokho enjoyed a fine game in Minsk as he showed some nice link-up play with Guardado. Hardly troubled in his defensive duties.
Always happy to charge forward and help out in attack, but not always convincing on the ball. Sloppy defending almost cost his side in the 30th minute.
Occasionally struggle against Rodionov as the BATE striker did get a number of good chances. Will be pleased to have kept a clean sheet, though.
The Portuguese defender was solid as a rock at the back. His last-ditch tackle to deny Rodionov early in the game in particular was impressive, and made some good challenges.
Should have done better when set up by Soldado in the first half, but made up for it after the break with a superb cross for the striker to make it 2-0.
Always willing to take on his direct opponent, but hardly ever beat his marker. Lively performance, but Pellegrino will expect more from the winger.
Played an important role in his side's win as he created Valencia's third goal, and always made himself available as he moved between BATE's lines.
Gago impressed in midfield as he showed some excellent passing, most noticeably in the fifth minute when he found Soldado. Not afraid to stick his feet in whenever necessary, and always calm on the ball.
The veteran worked hard to keep things tight and balanced in midfield. Taken off after the break when the game was already decided in Valencia's favour.
Soldado was absolutely fantastic as he caused the BATE defence trouble right from the start. Gifted Valencia the lead with a calm finish from the spot, before adding two more in the second half. Man-of-the-match performance.
