Had an excellent game as he kept the score down. Made two great saves to deny Falque. Did his best to keep Tottenham at bay but couldn’t do anything to prevent Vertonghen and Townsend from scoring. Handling and kicking were solid.
Did well to block Dempsey’s shot off the line as he got his positioning spot-on. Won the aerial battle against the American but was often confused by the runs from deep by Sigurdsson.
Had a decent game as he stopped Tottenham attacking down the left, which he may have been helped by the fact the visitors had a lot of success on the right. His heading and tackling, though, were solid and he wasn’t at fault for either Spurs goal.
Didn’t have the best of games as he was often troubled by the threat of Clint Dempsey whose movement caused problems. Fortunately for him, however, the American left his shooting boots at home otherwise the scoreline might have been out of hand.
Had a good game and was probably Carlisle’s most industrious midfielder as he had some success down the left. He should have done a lot better with a chance that came his way in the first half but he couldn’t get the ball under control when well-placed in the box.
Defended stoutly on the left as he face a tough challenge against the threat of Andros Townsend. Tried to raid forward when he could. Should have done better to stop Townsend for his goal, struggled as the game wore on.
Battled well in the centre of midfield. He always pressed the Spurs midfielders whenever they had the ball restricting their passing game. Used the ball well in possession.
Didn’t see much of the ball and was restricted to a defensive role as the Premier League side upped the ante during the second half. Had a few brief moments in the first but they were few and far between.
Had a few half-chances at which he snatched when he had more time. Saw a lot of the ball in advanced positions especially in the first half but didn’t do enough with his final balls into the box. Replaced by Beck in the second half.
Performed well in the midfield alongside Thirwell as they prevented Spurs from getting into a rhythm in the first half. He read the game well and at times made crucial interceptions. Faded in the second half.
Made good forceful runs which caused the Tottenham defence problems. Had good chances in front of goal but couldn’t trouble Cudicini as he failed to find the target. Carlisle’s best player on the night as he was one of the only players to cause the visitors a problem.
Wasn’t tested by Carlisle as he had a comfortable evening. His handling and kicking were solid as well as his concentration as he went long periods without seeing the ball.
Had an excellent game, not troubled in the slightest by any Carlisle player as he showed composure and strength to dispel all attacks that came his way. Distributed the ball well from the back as he always seemed to find a team-mate.
Was occasionally troubled by the pace and skill of Robson, who briefly threatened down the left for Carlisle, and his passing was slightly off in the first half. As the game wore on he seemed to grown in confidence and looked secure.
The England international had a solid game alongside Caulker. Both were a rock at the back and Dawson used his experience to great effect as he quelled Greg Abbott’s side’s attacking ambitions with good positioning and great play in the air.
Took his goal well as he looped his header over Gillespie as he latched onto Sigurdsson’s cross. Defended well at left-back against the pace of Higginbotham as he gave him very little all night and showed his confidence by raiding forward when he could.
A real thorn in Carlisle's side all evening, the Icelander seemed to be involved in everything that Tottenham did going forward. Used the ball extremely well as he spread the play to good effective and made dangerous late runs into the area. Great cross for Vertonghen’s goal. Capped off his strong performance with a late goal.
Had a great game. Raided well down the right as he looked to cause Robson and Chantler problems with his pace. As well as threatening with crosses, the youngster scored an excellent goal in the second half with a great run and finish. Classy performance.
Had a decent game in the middle of the park alongside Huddlestone, trying to get forward and support Dempsey. His shooting left something to be desired as he had two efforts both of which he blazed over the bar, stopping promising attacks.
Used the ball well despite facing constant pressure from the Carlisle midfield. He and Sigurdsson linked up well as their interplay created several attacks for Andre Villas-Boas’ side. Shielded his back four extremely well.
Had a frustrating time in front of goal as he started up front. Missed several chances including an open goal when he hit Murphy on the line when capitalising on Gillespie’s save from Falque. Not his best performance.
Unlucky in front of goal as he saw two efforts well saved by Gillespie. His movement in and around the area troubled the Carlise back line as they failed to pick him up at times which lead to opportunities. Continued to threaten in the latter stages of the game.
Tried to push his side forward after coming on in the second half but struggled to get up to the speed of the game.
Introduced in the second half and played a few decent passes to try and get his side going forward but didn't affect the game.
Should have scored late consolation goal after coming on as a sub for Higginbotham but headed straight at Cudicini when unmarked.
