The big-spending French welcome the eastern Europeans to Parc des Princes on matchday one, and are eager to make a big impression on Europe's elite

Paris Saint-Germain coach Carlo Ancelotti will have Brazil centre-back Thiago Silva at his disposal for the first time, confirming before the 2-0 win over Toulouse FC, that the former AC Milan defender would make his debut for the visit of Dinamo Kiev.
Ezequiel Lavezzi should feature in his first game for three weeks after being rested on Friday, having just returned from international duty, whilst the impressive Marco Verratti should be in line for his Champions League debut.
Club captain Christophe Jallet will be the preferred choice at right-back over Gregory van der Viel, whilst Zlatan Ibrahimovic is set to become the first man to play for six clubs in the Champions League.
Kiev coach Yury Semin isn't expected to make wholesale changes for the trip to the French capital, with Andriy Yarmolenko and Denys Garmash set to return after being omitted from the starting line-up in the 3-1 win over Karpaty Lviv.
Taye Taiwo played against PSG for Marseille as recently as 2011, with Ideye Brown a familiar face for many Ligue 1 aficionados. Niko Kranjcar meanwhile, scored a brace for the Ukrainian giants at the weekend.

The Sweden international will break a new record on Tuesday, turning out for his sixth club in this competition, but nevertheless Ibrahimovic has been an expected revelation in Ligue 1 so far this season. Five goals in the three games in which he has featured in, and the powerful striker will be hoping to make his mark in a competition which has still eluded him. Paris expects, Ibrahimovic expects, and he will be hoping to deliver.

One of the brightest prospects of Ukrainian football, Andriy Yarmolenko will be hoping to further stamp his mark on European football at the Parc des Princes. A young winger, who can play anywhere across the attacking midfield, Yarmolenko can pose a threat with his quick feet, dribbling and pass precision. PSG have looked rather suspect in defence, so can the Ukraine international make an impact against the French side who will have Thiago Silva at their disposal?
This was the dream. This is the reality. Paris Saint-Germain will be well aware of the work and financial effort that has been made to bring the Parisian club back to Europe's top table, and they will be wary of the similar pitfalls that eliminated Manchester City last year. Dynamo Kiev a strong team in their own right, but their frailities were exposed against Gladbach. It'll be a tough ask for the visitors, but the hosts should come good on a night of high passion and drama at the Parc.
