Forced into a couple of great saves by Juan Jesus and Guarin early on in the contest. Not a lot he could do about Cassano's cross that missed everyone.
Good strong display by Angelo as he made his mark at both ends of the field, causing problems on the counter and getting back in the box to help his side during the Inter onslaught.
A sturdy performance at the back which helped keep Inter at bay throughout the second half. Took a bit of a whack late on but was able to continue.
Another who had a good game at the back. Gave away a couple of needless fouls which allowed Inter shooting positions, but luckily most of their efforts this afternoon were wayward.
Part of a defence that kept the likes of Cassano and Palacio at bay, but his niggling fouls and occasional poor positioning would normally have been punished.
Got down the left hand side plenty of times in the first period as Inter struggled with playing three at the back. His duties turned purely defensive in the second half though, as Siena looked to sit back on their lead.
F. Della Rocca
Great display in midfield as he went toe-to-toe with some of the top midfielders in Serie A and came out looking the stronger. Orchestrated a number of Siena's breaks in the second half and looked commanding throughout.
Lovely goal that was arguably the highlight of the game. No keeper in the world was reaching his curling effort midway through the first half and he continued to threaten from range throughout the game.
Solid performance from the captain as he helped his backline soak up pressure in their bid to hit Inter's 10-men on the counter in the second half.
Energetic performance from the Nigerian-born Swiss international who was full of running all game. Opened the scoring with an easy tap-in but caused the Inter defence problems with his pace and power all day, exemplified by winning his side's penalty.
Looked hungry to get forward in the first half and should have been given a good chance to open the scoring if Emeghara's passing had been more accurate. Cool penalty to double his side's advantage in the second period.
Helpless for all of Siena's goals, the Slovenian was badly let down by his defence this afternoon.
A frustrating afternoon for the captain as his side dominated possession, even with 10-men, yet found themselves on the losing side. One of Inter's problems this season has been a lack of creativity and unfortunately Zanetti offered little in that department from the right in the second half.
As with the rest of his defensive comrades, Juan Jesus did not have the best of afternoons. He came close to opening the scoring for Inter early on with an acrobatic effort, but had difficulty at the other end of the park and looked even less comfortable playing at left back in the second period.
Has cut a frustrated figure as part of an unconvincing back three in Inter's recent fixtures and today was no different. Struggled with the pace of Emeghara and was still nowhere to be seen when the same player went clean through in the second half.
Another poor game from Inter's backline but possibly the worst from this man's point of view. Made no impression in the first half and his decision to bring down Emeghara for the penalty was unjustifiable.
Another disappointing display from the winger as he continued to get into good positions but failed to produce any meaningful delivery. Moved to right back in the second period to accommodate for a change of tactics.
A fairly quiet debut for the former Atalanta man, whose only contribution was his lack of assistance to his defence during a first half that saw Siena run the rule over his flank. Taken off at half-time as Stramaccioni looked to sure things up.
As ever he was Inter's main threat, but once again he failed to deliver any sort of valuable contribution. Tested the gloves of Pegolo on a few occasions but nothing more. Frustration got the better of him late on when he was booked for a rash challenge.
Showed a good eye for a pass in picking out Cassano on the edge of the area for the Italian's goal. Found himself in possession much of the time but failed to create any understanding with Guarin in the centre of the park.
Scored for the first time since netting back in October but there was not a lot else to praise about Cassano's performance. Once again he failed to last the 90 minutes.
Really disappointing display from the forward that has so often saved Inter this season. Was spotted coming deep to receive the ball from the early stages but drifted into complete anonymity as the game wore on.
Came on in the second half for goal hero Sestu and gave himself a decent run out by joining in with a couple of quick counterattacks.
Replaced Rosina after he scored the third as Siena looked to sure things up and see out victory.
Replaced Emeghara late on but did not have enough time to make an impact.
Came on at half-time as Inter attempted to change to 4-4-2 but Kovacic failed to add nothing to the visitors' game whatsoever and could not help provide a link between defence and attack.
Barely on the pitch for five minutes but still had time to waste a decent free kick.
Replaced Cassano for the last 10 minutes or so, but the game was up already and he joined the Inter players in going through the motions.
