Inter head coach Andrea Stramaccioni will be looking to bounce back from their recent run of poor form and maintain their pursuit of landing a first Serie A title since 2010.

However, the Nerazzurri will have to make do without the suspended Antonio Cassano, while Gaby Mudingayi, Joel Obi, Christian Chivu and Dejan Stankovic all remain sidelined.

The 36-year-old may also look to recall Walter Gargano to the starting XI following Freddy Guarin's poor performance in the 1-0 defeat to Parma last week.

Opposite number Gian Piero Gasperini will take on Inter for the first time since he was removed from his position as head coach last September.

The Palermo boss also has his fair share of problems heading into the encounter, with Nicolas Bertolo, Andrea Mantovani, Steve von Bergen and Abel Hernandez all ruled out through injury.

The Rosanero will also have to make do without the services of suspended duo Massimo Donati and captain and top scorer Fabrizio Miccoli.

  DID YOU KNOW?
  • Inter have not succumbed to defeat in their last nine home games against Palermo in all competitions.

  • Top scorer Diego Milito (pictured, right) has not found the back of the net since hitting a brace during the 3-1 win over Juventus last month.

  • The Nerazzurri have scored at least two goals in eight of their last 10 home games in Serie A.
  • Palermo have not registered an away win in their last 11 Serie A attempts.
  • The Rosanero have also failed to score in seven of their last nine domestic encounters against Inter.

  • Without the goals and assists of the suspended Fabrizio Miccoli, Palermo would be bottom of the league with 10 points.

The Argentine may not have netted in three Serie A encounters, but he will need to be on top form if Inter are to return to winning ways.

The absences of Abel Hernandez and Fabrizio Miccoli through injury and suspension mean 19-year-old Dybala will be expected to lead the frontline at San Siro. He has two goals to his name, despite largely appearing as a substitute this season.
Prediction
With Fabrizio Miccoli suspended, it will not be a happy return to San Siro for Gian Piero Gasperini. Inter may have only picked up one point in nine, but they are likely to return to winning ways against a Palermo side that remain relegation candidates.
