Corinthians - Boca Juniors Preview: Brazilians look to win first Libertadores title with second-leg result
There is nothing between the two sides after a first-leg draw in Argentina as the Pacaembu welcomes two of the continent's best-supported clubs for the grand finale

Tite is expected to name the same line-up from when his side travelled to La Bombonera meaning there is no place for first-leg hero Romarinho. A well-taken goal kept the Brazilians in with a great chance of lifting their first-ever Copa title, but despite rotation recently his place is expected to be taken up Chicao. Should Jorge Henrique push out to the right then the formation could become a 4-2-3-1 with Paulinho and Ralf taking on the job of nullifying Juan Roman Riquelme.
Julio Cesar Falcioni only makes on change from the 1-1 draw in Buenos Aires as Franco Sosa comes in at right-back. He replaces goalscorer from the first leg Facundo Roncaglia because the club could not offer insurance against injury to Fiorentina, who he is soon to join. Rolando Schiavi will be partnered in defence by Matias Caruzzo, meaning that Juan Manuel Insaurralde will start among the substitutes with Pablo Mouche and Santiago Silva continuing their partnership up front.

Paulinho will be vital to Corinthians at both ends of the pitch. As part of the double-pivot with Ralf, he will be responsible for a large share of tracking and closing space in which for Riquelme to get on the ball. He will then be crucial in bringing about the transition from defence to attack with frequent and tireless bursts of energy to remove the danger for his side without surrendering the ball. He posed somewhat of a goal threat in the first leg and the Argentines will be eager to stifle his role in the side.

There are only a few players who can decided a game with the slightest of touch but Riquelme is certainly one of those. His deft control and hawk-like vision have not deserted him as he looks to try and unlock an absurdly stubborn Corinthians defence. His movement will need to be of the highest order to be able to avoid Ralf and Paulinho and start pulling the strings for his team. His fourth winners' medal is within reach and his class and experience could well prove the deciding factor.
There was little between the two sides and the second leg could well end in a fairly similar result. Boca will not have the raucous support of La Bombonera but away goals are irrelevant in the final. It could well go all the way to extra time and penalties but it may take just one inspirational moment to provide the difference. Tite will no doubt still approach the game pragmatically while Boca will be desperate not to concede.
