|Stade Rennais made it four wins out of five, as they inflicted more misery on struggling Nancy at Stade Marcel Picot on Friday evening.
The visitors took the lead midway through the first-half as Chris Mavinga's ferocious cross was headed in by Mevlut Erding, for his sixth league goal of the season.
But, Simon Zenke equalised soon after, as he raced past his marker and fired low past Benoit Costil.
Romain Alessandrini's superb volley saw Rennes regain their lead, but Nancy failed to take their best chance when Paul Alo'o Efoulou missed from the penalty spot.
Jonathan Pitroipa turned in a third, with the visitors moving into ninth position, leaving Jean Fernandez's men without a win since the opening day.
|Lille made up for their embarassing 6-1 Champions League defeat to Bayern Munich on Wednesday, as they narrowly beat Stade Brest 1-0 at Grand Stade Lille Metropole.
Rudi Garcia's men were comfortable in the first-half, and after enjoying long periods of possession, they were to be rewarded on the stroke of half-time.
Aurelien Chedjou found Dimitri Payet with a through ball and his hurried cross fell perfectly for Salomon Kalou, with the Ivorian firing past Alexis Thebaux.
Landry Chauvin's side could not get the equaliser they needed, and though Larsen Toure forced a fantastic save from Mickael Landreau, it was the hosts who held on to move up to seventh spot.
|Saint-Etienne built on their 2-1 win over Paris Saint-Germain last weekend, with a 2-0 win over a disappointing Troyes at Stade Geoffrey Guichard.
Les Verts almost took the lead from the kick-off, but Brandao shot wide from a good position.
Renaud Cohade eventually opened the scoring just after half-time, as he latched superbly onto a lofted ball to fire past the goalkeeper.
And despite Troyes' resistance, Pierre Emerick Aubameyang wrapped up the win as he tapped-in from a rebound after his initial header was palmed away by Yohann Thuram-Ulien.
|Valenciennes recovered to beat Bastia 3-2 in a thrilling game at Stade Armand Cesari.
Gael Danic's fine work laid on Foued Kadir just after the half-hour mark, and he slotted past the keeper to make it 1-0.
Anthony Modeste equalised from the penalty spot after Wahib Khazri was fouled by defender Gil, though Julian Palmieri's low shot made it 2-1 to the hosts.
Kadir's curling effort restored parity once again, before the Algerian set up Mathieu Dossevi for the winner, to hand Daniel Sanchez's side all three points.
|STADE DE REIMS
|Evian recorded a priceless 2-1 win away to Reims, as they moved out of the bottom three with only their third win of the season.
Kevin Berigaud's 18th minute goal sent the visitors on their way after a measured start against Hubert Fournier's men.
Pascal Dupraz's side added a second in the second-half through Youssef Adnane, but an own goal from Cedric Cambon meant for a nervy last 15 minutes.
The Annecy side saw it out though, and leapfrog Sochaux into 17th position and out of the drop zone.
|Toulouse lost for the second game in succession, after falling to a shock 4-2 home defeat to a resurgent Ajaccio.
Anthony Lippini's own goal after just four minutes gave Alain Casanova's side the lead, but they were soon undone by the Corsicans who turned it around thanks to goals from Frederic Sammaritano and Chakhir Belghazouani.
Sigamary Diarra made it 3-1 midway through the second-half, before Ayman Abdennour pulled one back for the hosts.
Nevertheless, Ajaccio had the last laugh, as Belghazouani struck his second of the game
to complete a resounding victory.
|OLYMPIQUE DE MARSEILLE
|Olympique de Marseille once again threw away a lead at the death, as they were held to a 2-2 draw by Nice in the Cote d'Azur derby.
The hosts took the lead through Andre Ayew, with the Ghana international heading home Mathieu Valbuena's cross.
Valentin Eysseric was lively throughout, first narrowly firing wide, before setting up Dario Cvitanich for the equaliser.
Eysseric had a goal ruled out, before Valbuena made it 2-1 when he rifled home from a tight angle.
But, Marseille were denied in controversial circumstances as substitute Alexy Bosetti - who appeared to be offside - set up former OM man Fabrice Abriel for the equaliser.
|Olympique Lyonnais failed to capitalise on Marseille's slip-up and take top spot, as they were held to a 1-1 draw away to Sochaux at Stade Bonal.
Maxime Gonalons struck his second goal in two games, heading in from Steed Malbranque's in-swinging free-kick on 24 minutes.
Simon Pouplin was busy, saving from Lisandro Lopez, and Sloan Privat, though the latter of that pair should have done better with his chance.
Nevertheless, Privat made amends for his earlier miss by levelling with 18 minutes to go, to earn a decent point for les Lionceaux.
|Bordeaux finally found their lethal touch, as they thrashed Lorient 4-0 at Stade du Moustoir.
The visitors took the lead through Jussie, who capitalised on poor defending to turn in from Ludovic Obraniak's corner.
The Brazilian then turned provider, assisting Obraniak to make it 2-0, before Lamine Kone's clearance off the line denied Yann Gouffran a third.
It was 3-0 minutes later when Henri Saivet headed in from a corner, before Gouffran rounded off an emphatic win with a simple finish from Jussie's weighted pass.
Lorient, who started the season so promisingly, have now not won for over six weeks.
