Sharp first-half double stop from Rangel stopped his side going in one down and made important from Michu and Tiendalli in the second half, when his team were desperately searching for the winner.
Was sometimes found wanting in the aerial duel with Michu but otherwise defended very well. Partnership with Vermaelen is improving game after game
Was outdone by Dyer's pace though made a goal-saving challenge at the end of an excellent recovery run. Stepped forward to join in play well but could have done so much more often, especially with Swansea on the back foot.
Was his side's best attacking outlet in the first half with a couple decent deliveries from the right touchline but didn't take the chance to cement his good work after the break. Caught in possession by Dyer, with his mistake leading to Michu's second strike, consigning his team to defeat.
Not his best performance, with his usual raids down the left flank non-existent.
Off-the-boil the entire game, unable to thread together a disconnected Arsenal team that had no ideas going forward.
Struggled to assert himself in the first half, with his game bereft of its usual quality. A move up the pitch in the second half brought a better showing though still not up to the lofty standards he usually achieves.
As with Wilshere, enjoyed a much improved second-half showing. Forced to try pick up scraps out wide in the first half but found himself at the heart of the Gunners' attacking forays in the second. Had a couple half-chances, but never tested Tremmel.
Was brought in off the left wing after about twenty minutes to provide the focal point that Gervinho couldn't. Link-up play improved but the Gunners were still woefully short of incision.
Wholly ineffectual out on the right flank in a game littered with bad first touches. A game to forget.
First start for several weeks and it showed. Clearly isn't the front man that Wenger thinks he can become, fluffing two headed chances in the first half. Improved marginally after swapping roles with Podolski but still not at the level required.

Made one save from Cazorla's well struck volley in a game where he was only ever required to make wholly routine saves. How he was kept that quiet is a mystery.
Wasn't fazed by Arsenal's chopping and changing of personnel up top and made a great last-ditch challenge to deny Giroud when it appeared the Frenchman was through on goal.
Marshalled the defence superbly in what turned out to be a barrage of late Arsenal pressure.
Rarely tested down his flank and took the opportunity to bomb on where possible. Tested Szczesny early on, though had to reign in any attacking tendancies with his side's backs to the wall for the duration of the second half.
His afternoon was made easy buy the opposition's attacking deficiencies. Barely put a foot wrong all afternoon.
Effective screen for his back four though became overran as the game wore on. Intelligent display that saw him frustrate Arsenal at any time, by keeping his passing simple and switching play.
Proved the match winner for his team with two composed, late strikes. Dropped into the hole and looked to link things up, looking a threat throughout. Swans fans behind the goal were convinced he gave them the lead in the second half, but his angled drive rippled the side-netting.
Bursts beyond the front man provided his team's most potent attacking threat though scant had the chance to do so, being entrenched in his own half after the break. Denied by a fantastic Vermaelen challenge when it looked like he was going to prod beyond Szczesny and his perseverence lead to Michu's second.
Subdued performance all-in-all with little effect going forwards. Was on the back foot the entire second half but put in a good shift and was never found wanting tracking back.
Assured on the ball in the first half, playing a key part in Swansea's tactical frustration of the hosts, though the game passed him by entirely after the interval.
Bright and lively in the first half, peeling off Mertesacker to give Arsenal's central-half pairing something to think about. Became increasingly isolated as the game drew on and was withdrawn after running himself into the ground.
Provided the energy in the middle of the park that eventually swung the game his team's way.
