Perhaps lucky not to be punished when he parried Moses' cross straight back into the centre of the penalty area, but the delivery was powerfully struck and Torres could not take advantage anyway. Could do little about Moses' headed winner.
Played more of a covering role behind Monk and kept up with the quicker Chelsea players that got in behind the defence. Hazard was shepherded away from goal on one occasion before Torres was cut off as he raided in from the left.
Occasionally troubled by the pace of Torres and Hazard but Williams helped him out in that regard. Generally solid, helping Swansea step up the pitch and deny the Blues space.
Showed some attacking intent but could not quite find the final delivery that might unlock the Chelsea defence. Left some space behind him which was exploited on occasion.
Attacked willingly but his passing and crossing sometimes lacked quality. Successfully kept Moses and Azpilicueta to the outside, although one or two decent crosses did beat him.
Dug in in front of the back four as well as circulating possession in his usual style. Worked well with De Guzman to deny Chelsea space before he was withdrawn as Swansea searched for an equaliser.
Worked hard and used his physicality up front and got on the end of one chipped cross from Hernandez, but could not steer it goalwards. Boisterous, but did not have much service or joy in the box.
Produced Swansea's best moment of the first half with a chipped cross that Michu could not quite capitalise on. Struggled to find the space to consistently run at Cole and Cahill, though. Switched to the left and looked threatening when he cut inside, having one promising shot blocked before beating Cech for the equaliser with a similar effort that found its way through the Chelsea bodies.
Muted on the left, where he could not find much room in which to manoeuvre. Had some success when he floated inside and linked up with other midfield players, but it was not a surprise to see him replaced by Dyer as the Swans looked to find a goal.
Energetic, making plenty of tackles and driving forward when he had the chance. Congested in the middle of the park, though, which made it more difficult for him.
Played one or two threatening passes when he was able to get within range of the forwards. Swansea lacked a link between midfield and attack but he looked the most likely to provide it. Disrupted Chelsea's players when off the ball, too.
Replaced Routledge and tested Cech with a cross that nearly dropped under the crossbar, although the effort might not have been intentional.
Like Michu, could not find any breaks in the penalty area after coming on in response to Chelsea's goal.
Came on for the last 10 minutes as Swansea searched for an equaliser and played an important part, holding the ball up before laying it off for Hernandez to equalise.
Dived bravely to collect a ball at Michu's feet but otherwise had a quiet afternoon until he was beaten by a shot that he did not seem to see or react to until it was too late.
Caught out by Michu on a couple of occasions when the striker peeled off to latch on to passes. But he generally kept the Swansea forwards at bay and certainly did not give up anything easily. Could not step forward quickly enough to block Hernandez's shot, however.
Continues to look somewhat isolated at left-back without a player directly ahead of him. Hazard often ventures inside, which leaves him without an out pass from defence. Defended well in one-on-one situations, however.
Covered well for Ivanovic on one occasion when Michu looked as if he might run through on goal. With Luiz injured and Terry suspended, he led the defence effectively and was a danger at set-pieces.
Defended well and supported the forwards down the right flank. Did not show his dynamic attacking potential, but proved that he can be relied upon at right-back in the early days of his Chelsea career.
The Swansea midfielders successfully crowded the centre of the pitch and as a result, the Brazilian found it difficult to exert much influence. What he did was neat and tidy, but never quite decisive.
Cut out most of the play that came his way. Once or twice he was turned by the pacy Swansea midfielders, but he managed to escape the referee's attention despite improvising in how he held the play up at times.
Got the decisive goal when Cahill's header bounced off his head and found the top corner. Like Oscar, he kept the ball moving and did deliver a dangerous cross that Torres might have taken advantage of, but never reached full speed.
Probably the most effective of Chelsea's attackers, getting one shot away after cutting inside and testing Tremmel with a free-kick. His corners caused problems too. Could not find the penetration he was looking for as often as he would have liked though.
Mostly a passenger and withdrawn for the grittier Ramires at the break as Chelsea looked to inject more urgency into their play.
Missed a good chance when Tremmel parried a cross straight to him and was never able to separate himself from the attention of Williams.
Replaced Oscar to solidify the midfield for the final 10 minutes.
Came on at half-time and helped Chelsea exert a bit more control in central midfield. More of a disciplined performance than his usual all-action running.
Came on for a little under 20 minutes on the right flank. Did not see too much of the ball but ended one promising attack with poor control.
