After they managed to hold off a late recovery from Egypt in their first game, which finished 3-2, Brazil coach Mano Menezes is unlikely to change what is his strongest available side.

Meanwhile, having also enjoyed victory in their opening game, Belarus will probably keep the same 4-5-1 formation that served them so well.

  • Only two Belarus squad members are based outside their home country for their club football – goalkeeper Filip Vaytekhovich plays for Sweden’s IK Frej and striker Sergei Kornilenko plays for Krylia Sovetov Samara in Russia.
  • Belarus’ squad comprises many players who reached the semi-finals of the Under-21 European Championship in 2011.

Having just signed for Chelsea, Oscar will be keen to showcase his skills for British fans. He was impressive in the victory over Egypt and will be hoping to pull the strings once again in Brazil’s midfield.

If Belarus are to take anything from this game, they will need goalkeeper Alexander Hutar to be on top form. Up against the vast attacking power the Brazilians possess, he could be in for a busy evening.
Prediction
It could be a tight game, as Belarus play an industrious brand of football and look to flood the midfield. However, with their attacking flair and supremely talented players, Brazil should have no problems racking up the goals in this game. Brazil 3-0 Belarus
