So, Real Madrid progress from this tie courtesy of a fortunate Benzema strike. The quarter finals are up next. If Barcelona progress from their tie against Osasuna on Thursday then we have ANOTHER El Clasico on our hands folks. Always something to look forward to!! Thanks for joining me!! Goodnight everyone.

90′ +3
THATS IT!!! Madrid win this leg 1-0, going through 4-2 victors on aggregate.

90′ +3
Casillas does well to punch the ball away to safety. Malaga have finished superbly here. They deserve a goal for their efforts tonight. Monreal in particular has been outstanding.

90′ +2
Three minutes of injury time have been awarded. Malaga have a corner. Is time running out?

90′
Yellow Card Sergio Ramos

90′
THAT IS SO CLOSE!!!!!!! Toulalan is inches away from getting Malaga back in this one, but his header goes just wide. Unlucky!

89′
Now that is strange. The ref has only yellow carded Ramos for what looks like a strikingly similar incident to that which just resulted in Arbeloa being sent off. Hmmm...

88′
Yellow/Red Arbeloa

88′
RED CARD!!!!! Arbeloa is off. For an elbow on Monreal. I said that was a clash worth keeping an eye on guys!!!

87′
Madrid are keeping hold of possession well in the final stages of this game. Ozil in particular is proving a menace to Malaga, he just does not give the ball away!

86′
And that is another brave decision from the linesman to pull Madrid back when a chance looked likely. Ronaldo loses out this time. I think he was onside, you know...

85′
Malaga are trying to pump the ball up to Rondon and van Nistelrooy but it's just not happening for them at the moment. Madrid do not want to let this lead slip!

83′
Demichelis has rolled back the years with his performance at the back for Malaga tonight. He's been brilliant.

81′
OFFSIDE!!! Just as Madrid threatened to score a second, Ronaldo and Ramos are pulled up for offside. That was close!

80′
Malaga have got to be careful not to leave themselves exposed at the back now. We all know how dangerous Madrid are on the counter, especially with the pace of Ronaldo and Benzema.

80′
Malaga have got to be careful not to leave themselves exposed at the back now. We all know how dangerous Madrid are on the counter, especially with the pace of Ronaldo and Benzema.

79′
Benzema has proved the difference so far, and just in terms of his goal. The French striker has looked lively since coming on and is causing Demichelis all sorts of problems going forward for Madrid.

78′
Yellow Card Rondón

77′
LUCKY BOY!!! Rondon is fortunate to stay on the pitch there after a reckless two footed challenge on Fabio Coentrao.

77′
They are really going for it though, pumping crosses into the Madrid box for Rondon to try and get on the end of. No luck yet.

76′
Substitution Eliseu Vincenzo Maresca

76′
There's a real sense of urgency from the home side now. They need to win this leg by a goal to progress, so they need two here tonight in this position. The pressure is well and truly on.

75′
Substitution Isco Diego Buonanotte

75′
Malaga make an immediate double substitution. Diego Buonanotte and Enzo Maresca enter the fray!

72′
Goal Karim Benzema
GOOOOOOOOOOOOAAALLLLL!!! MADRIDDDDD!! 1-0 to the visitors. Benzema with a lucky, lucky goal there. His tame effort somehow finds its way through Caballero's legs. Disaster for the Malaga keeper. He looks devastated.

71′
A silly pass from Ronaldo wastes a good opportunity for Madrid there, Benzema was screaming for it.

70′
Madrid respond with a change of their own. Karim Benzema, the scorer of two against Granada at the weekend, is on for Higuain.

69′
Substitution Gonzalo Higuaín Karim Benzema

69′
MORE SELFISH PLAY FROM ISCO!! When will he learn to pass?!

67′
Substitution Sebastián Fernández Miglierina Rondón

67′
The home side are shaping to make a change here, and it looks like Seba Fernandez is the man to be replaced, with Rondon coming on upfront for Malaga. That would suggest that they are going with two upfront. GAME ON!

66′
Malaga threaten down the left but the eventual cross into the box is easily dealt with and cleared to safety by Ramos.

64′
HOW HAS HE MISSED THAT?!! Credit to Caballero for the save, but you've got to count that as a chance missed by Ronaldo. His header into the ground is tipped over the bar after a wonderful cross had found CR7 unmarked in the box.

63′
Ramos was over on the touchline receiving instructions from his manager there while Toulalan recovered from his knock. I wonder what Mourinho has in store... Surely a change of shape or personnel. The current system is just not working for them tonight.

62′
Jeremy Toulalan is down for Malaga, it doesn't look too serious though. The Frenchman gingerly picks himself up and is okay to continue.

60′
CHANCE!!! Higuain does well to whip a dangerous cross into the box after being played in by Marcelo. Coentrao is inches away from getting on the end of it, but Demichelis is there to clear for Malaga!

59′
The longer this score stays the same, the more Malaga will fancy their chances tonight.

58′
Madrid's switch to 4-3-3 has not proved successful this evening. Their forwards have been far too static, and it is making life hard for their midfielders to pick their way through a very well-organised Malaga side.

56′
Madrid are committing men forward here. Malaga very nearly counter attack with only Ramos left in the Madrid half. Mourinho's side will have to look out for the Andalucians on the break. Admittedly van Nistelrooy isn't the quickest, but Cazorla and Isco can certainly move!!

54′
MISSED BY MILES!!!!!! The substitute Marcelo shanks a shot horribly wide from outside the area for Madrid, who knows what the Brazilian was thinking there. Awful effort.

52′
Both sides passing the ball around in the centre of the park at the moment. There's been a slow-tempo to the last five minutes or so.

50′
I'm not sure Mourinho and Ronaldo could take losing this game to be honest. Their no show at the Ballon D'Or ceremony last night signalled their anger at not winning either player or coach of the year. What would happen if Malaga won this?!!

49′
This tie is on a knife edge guys, Malaga must sense that too, as time wears on, all they need is a single goal, and to shut Madrid out, and they will be through. What an upset that would be!

48′
Malaga have started the half stronger here, with a couple of chances in quick succession, neither of which forcing Casillas into making a save however.

46′
Substitution Kaká Marcelo

46′
Alot of you on Twitter will be happy! Mourinho must have been reading your tweets, he's hauled the disappointing Kaka off and replaced him with Marcelo. No Callejon yet!

46′
We are back for the second half at La Rosaleda. Madrid to kick off...

MadridMaestro on Twitter reckons Mourinho should splash out on either Mario Gotze from Dortmund or Lille's Eden Hazard in the transfer window. What do the rest of you think? Personally I think it's only a matter of time before Hazard finds himself at the Bernabeu. Zinedine Zidane has already said that if he could take any one player to Madrid it would be Hazard. Let's wait and see!

Alot of you out there on Twitter are campaigning for Callejon to be given a chance by Mourinho in the second half, and I must say I agree with you. He has looked sharp so far this season, and with Kaka far from his best tonight, that may just be the substitution that could liven up this game for Madrid. Remember folks, feel free to tweet me your views on the match tonight @charlie_scott10.

That's half-time then folks. It's still 0-0 here, with both sides finishing the half strongly. Madrid have enjoyed 60% possession to Malaga's 40% so far, but the home side will be pretty happy with their performance. Bare in mind that if Malaga win 1-0 they are through on away goals.

45′
GREAT SAVE!!!! Casillas tips a fine effort from Eliseu over the bar as Malaga finish this half stronger!!

44′
Substitution Sami Khedira Mesut Özil

44′
INCHES!!!!! Sergio Ramos, as he so often has this season, finds space in the Malaga box but his header flies just wide after a delightful inswinging free-kick from Xabi Alonso.

44′
Khedira is being carried away on a stretcher as the game carries on. It does not look good for Madrid's central midfielder.

43′
Yellow Card Martín Demichelis

43′
Ronaldo breaks AGAIN down the right. Monreal has got to sort himself out defensively as there is far too much space in Malaga's left-back position. It comes to nothing this time though, as Ronaldo's cross is cleared for a throw-in by Demichelis.

41′
It appears Khedira took a knock there, as he's needing medical help behind the goal as the game continues. Let's hope it is not serious. Mesut Ozil warms up on the sideline just in case.

40′
SAVE!!!! Caballero flies to his left to keep out Sami Khedira's effort after Ronaldo had played him in with a nonchalant back heel on the edge of Malaga's penalty area.

39′
Sir_Hawk on Twitter reckons Kaka is going to hit a brace tonight, I'm not so sure to be honest, he's looked a bit out of sorts so far. Let's see if he can prove me wrong, and Sir_Hawk right!

36′
And suddenly space opens up for Ronaldo down the right for Madrid, where's Monreal you might ask, in Madrid's half is the answer, Ronaldo meanwhile slips it to Kaka, but the Brazilian's pass to Higuain inside the box is overhit and the ball runs out for a goal-kick. Good chance that.

35′
Higuain doing his best Wayne Rooney impression there to try and get Malaga's Joris Mathijsen's name in the book. No chance Gonzalo, no chance at all.

34′
I'll tell you something for free... Isco, Malaga's dimunitive attacking midfielder, is absurdly talented, but he's got some selfishness going on too. A number of opportunities already tonight when he could and should have passed to team-mates but has decided not to.

32′
That's definitely a battle to keep an eye on between Monreal for Malaga and Arbeloa for Madrid. Both love getting forward from full-back, who will triumph in that little encounter?

31′
Yellow Card Arbeloa

30′
The game has died down a bit over the past few minutes. Although as I type that Arbeloa finds his way into the referee's book for a fairly innocuous challenge on the rampaging Monreal.

29′
Another good ball in from Monreal down the left, van Nistelrooy again struggling to make the most of it. Superb play from the left-back.

27′
Kaka and Higuain's movement upfront is just not good enough at the moment. Madrid are creating very little.

26′
Also... why on earth did Arsenal, Chelsea and Portsmouth (that last one is a joke) let Lass leave so easily?!!

24′
I'm sure I am not the only one to think that Sergio Ramos has matured into a fine centre-back over the past few seasons. There was a time when I thought he wasn't suited for that role, but I'm delighted to say he is proving me very wrong. Very wrong indeed!

22′
CHANCE FOR MALAGA!!! Eliseu, who has looked a handful so far this evening, cuts inside from the right and flashes an effort just wide from 25 yards out. Malaga have come closer to taking the lead so far.

20′
Corner from Malaga is easily picked off by Casillas in the Madrid goal. A bit of catching practice for the Spanish international there.

19′
The resulting free-kick is hooked into the box by Cazorla and it takes some superb closing down from Ramos to put pressure on the Malaga attacker as he shapes to shoot.

18′
Yellow Card Lassana Diarra

18′
And the first yellow card of night goes to Lass, for a pretty cynical foul on the impressive Monreal.

17′
Madrid's crossing is just not up to scratch at the moment, and Ronaldo is looking suitably peeved out there. It's understandable to be honest.

16′
Pepe does well to clear a dangerous Sanchez cross from the Madrid area. Decent play from the defender.

15′
Madrid's midfield three are working the ball well at times tonight. A bit more movement upfront and it might not be long before they find themselves creating some decent chances. The home side are dealing well with the threat of Ronaldo, Kaka and Higuain so far though.

14′
Eliseu then goes down looking for a foul off Arbeloa deep in Madrid's half but the referee is having absolutely none of it!

13′
Madrid are looking to break on the counter at every opportunity, one in particular is halted by a foul on Higuain by Eliseu, the Malaga midfielder.

11′
CHANCE FOR MALAGA! Ruud van Nistelrooy can't get his header on a target after a superb ball from deep from Monreal on the left.

10′
ANOTHER FOUL!! This time on a Madrid player, Sergio Sanchez going straight through the back of Ronaldo. The Portuguese star appeared upset during the match against Granada at the weekend, despite scoring late on. he's got 10 in 6 against Malaga though, so don't bet against him scoring tonight.

8′
FOUL! Gonzalo Higuain is pulled up for a foul on Monreal 35 yards out. The Argentine striker does not look happy about that!! Seconds later Ronaldo is then barged off the pitch down the left, much to his dismay.

7′
Alvaro Arbeloa is being afforded alot of space down the right-hand side for Madrid, yet his final ball has been disappointing so far.

7′
Martin Demichelis is in the thick of things early on, clearing a dangerous ball with his head before then blocking a speculative Madrid effort from outside the box.

5′
Malaga threaten to break through the Madrid back-line with a clever ball from Santi Cazorla but Sergio Ramos does well to clear up neatly for the away side.

3′
Madrid are playing alot of football in Malaga's half early on, but are then forced to play the ball all the way back to Iker Casillas who is put under pressure well by van Nistelrooy and Isco.

2′
Malaga, in their white and blue strip, get the game under way, but after some sloppy passing the ball finds its way into touch twice in the space of a few seconds

The teams are out, and just the introductions to get out of the way before this game kicks off. Fingers crossed it's a good one!

Of course Ruud van Nistelrooy lines up for Malaga against his former club this evening. I am sure he would love to get on the scoresheet!

Mourinho has surprised a few with his team selection this evening, switching from 4-2-3-1 to 4-3-3 with an extra holding midfielder in the form of Lassana Diarra. You could interpret that as a cautious approach from the Portuguese manager. No doubt they will now score loads... If any of you out there are Twitter fans like me, feel free to tweet me your views on the teams tonight or just as the game unfolds at @charlie_scott10.

Real Madrid (4-3-3): Casillas; Arbeloa, Pepe, Ramos, Coentrao; Khedira, Xabi Alonso, Lass; Kaka, Cristiano, Higuain.

Here come the teams...

Oh, and if this tie wasn't tense enough, Barcelona appear to lie in wait for the winners, having won their first leg against Osasuna 4-0.

Hello and welcome to Goal.com's coverage of this evening's Copa del Rey second leg fixture between Malaga and Real Madrid from La Rosaleda. I'm Charlie Scott and I'll be guiding you through tonight's action. Jose Mourinho's men are just about favourites going into this clash having fought back from 2-0 down to win the first leg 3-2 at the Santiago Bernabeu. But, with Malaga holding the home advantage, and having strengthened their squad considerably this season, do they have a chance of getting one over their illustrious opponents tonight and advancing to the quarter finals?
