Serie A Preview: Roma - Inter
The two sides have both failed to impress in their last two league matches, only picking up one point each - who will get back on track this weekend?

After their disappointing 4-2 defeat to Cagliari, the positive news for Roma is that both influential midfielder Daniele De Rossi and powerful striker Pablo Daniel Osvaldo have rejoined their team-mates in training and while the former Espanyol man is still at least 10 days away from returning, De Rossi may be in the starting XI versus the Nerazzurri, though his presence has yet to be confirmed. If the 2006 World Cup winner is still sidelined, Fabio Simplicio will take his place.
Meanwhile, the host's coach Luis Enrique looks set to pick Juan ahead of Simon Kjaer in the battle for the centre-back spot alongside Gabriel Heinze and up front Fabio Borini, who has been finding his feet lately, will continue in the absence of the aforementioned Osvaldo. Defensive duo Marco Cassetti and Nicolas Burdisso remain sidelined, along with back-up goalkeeper Gianluca Curci.
For Inter, Wesley Sneijder had assured his fans on Twitter he wanted to make the game after suffering a minor knock during the 4-4 draw with Palermo but he and Ricky Alvarez have not made the matchday squad, meaning Giampaolo Pazzini should partner in-form Diego Milito up front once again.
Youngster Andrea Poli may pip new signing Angelo Palombo to a place in midfield while another winter arrival, Fredy Guarin, will not be available for approximately 20 days. Veteran striker Diego Forlan could be available to coach Claudio Ranieri over the next couple of weeks, but will certainly not be ready for the clash in Rome and Dejan Stankovic's achilles problem continues to keep the Serbian out of the line up.
||DID YOU KNOW?|
- Roma have only beaten the Nerazzurri twice in their last eight attempts in all competitions.
- Borini has scored four goals in his last seven matches in all competitions.
- The Giallorossi have conceded 11 goals in 10 matches when playing at home this season.
- Inter have won just a single Serie A match this season when Sneijder has started, a 1-0 victory over Chievo Verona.
- Ranieri resigned from his post as Roma coach last February with this being the first time he will face his former side as Inter boss.
- After his quadruple against Palermo, Milito became the first Inter player to score four goals in one match since Christian Vieri in 2002.

One player who has definitely lived up to his billing since arriving in Rome is the Bosnia and Herzegovina international. Following his transfer from Lyon this past summer, at just 21 years of age the player has become vital to coach Enqrique and an automatic starter in Serie A. His ability to strike from long range, and also dictate flowing passing moves with his midfield team-mates, make him a real threat that Esteban Cambiasso and Co will have to keep an eye on.
Who else could it be? After hitting an incredible poker on Wednesday evening on a frozen pitch, the former Genoa forward now has nine goals in his last six Serie A matches and you certainly would not bet against him finding the back of the net again at the Stadio Olimpico.
With both of these teams fairing so inconsistently of late this clash is not expected to be anything like the bore 0-0 draw at San Siro at the beginning of the season. You can sense goals in the air in Rome with the likes of Francesco Totti and Pazzini about, but perhaps neither side will have the extra quality to close out the encounter.
