FULL-TIME! Barcelona can only draw 0-0 at home to Sevilla as Varas puts in a superb peformance to deny the Catalans on numerous occasions. Late drama too as Kanoute and Navarro see red in the stoppage time while Messi misses a penalty. Barcelona remain in second place with Madrid top while Sevilla continue their unbeaten start to the season and stay fourth. Thanks for joining me, Luke Matthews tonight. Buenos Noches people!
90' + 8'
Yellow/Red Fernando Navarro
90' + 7'
NAVARRO IS SENT OFF! The left-back picks up a second yellow for a late lunge on Pedro. Can the home side nick it with this free-kick? Sure to be the last chance of an extraordinary game.
90' + 5'
Penalty save Javi Varas
90' + 5'
Missed Penalty Messi
90' + 5'
PENALTY SAVED! LATE DRAMA HERE VARAS PARRIES HIS EFFORT! The keeper really has been the superstar tonight as Messi unusually misses from the penalty spot.
90' + 4'
Red Card Fred Kanouté
90' + 3'
Yellow Card Fred Kanouté
90' + 3'
THE PENALTY IS DELAYED! Kanoute sees red for two yellow cards. First of all he delays Messi before grabbing Fabregas round the neck. Complete lack of composure from the experienced striker.
90' + 2'
PENALTY TO BARCELONA! Iniesta is brought down in the box by Fazio who picks up a yellow card. The linesman is the person who flags up the offence.
We are to have four minutes of injury time here as the home side continue their attempt to find a late, late winner.
Yellow Card Cesc Fàbregas
Yellow Card Federico Julián Fazio
Xavi comes off looking tired to be replaced by Busquets. Could Guardiola be settling for a draw? Hardly, yet time is running out for his men as their 100 per cent Liga home record this season looks set to come to an end.
Sevilla are enjoying a rare spell of possession now as they head towards the corner. I think it's fair to say that Marcelino's team would settle for a draw.
Barcelona are coming at Sevilla, wave after wave of attacks are being launched at the away team's back four who have been resilient throughout.
We're in the final 10 minutes now and despite Barcelona's dominance, we look set for a goalless draw. Not every weekend I get to say that about a fixture at Camp Nou.
Messi jiggles past two defenders as he sees his low effort well blocked by Varas in the Sevilla goal. Will the home team beat the 29-year-old who is in inspired form tonight.
BRILLIANT BLOCK BY FAZIO! Messi slaloms past several Sevilla markers before laying the ball to Fabregas who sees his 12 yard effort blocked by the centre-half.
Navas runs down the right wing and has Rakitic unmarked to his left. However, the Croatian midfielder miscontrols the ball which is eventually cleared by the home team. Big let off.
Yellow Card Iniesta
Cesc Fabregas in now on the pitch and could be depoyed as a centre forward for the closing stages of the game. Is there a goal in this game?
BARCELONA HIT THE BAR! Messi finds Iniesta with a sublime through ball and the playmaker attempts to chip the ball over Varas. He succeeds but can only watch on as the ball bounces off the top of the bar.
VARAS TURNS THE BALL AROUND THE POST! Dani Alves cuts the ball back after a slick Barca move and Escude comes close to diverting the ball into his own net yet the keeper shows great alertness to turn it wide for a corner.
All Barcelona in terms of possession but will we see a goal? The Catalan giants have scored 21 goals at home in the league this evening but none tonight.
Yellow Card M. Cáceres
Manu Del Moral
Kanoute is on Del Moral for the final 20 minutes or so. The Getafe striker started well yet has hardly seen the ball in the second-half.
Yellow Card Gary Medel
We're heading into the final 25 minutes and we're still goalless at Camp Nou. If the scoreline stays the same, Barcelona will remain in second place, a point behind rivals Real Madrid who beat Malaga 4-0 earlier this evening.
Changes for both teams as Keita is replaced by Pedro as Trochowski is off for Sevilla, Coke taking his place in midfield.
Villa is slid in on goal by Iniesta and comes close yet the striker is ruled offside, despite Fazio's last-gasp challenge.
Villa links up well with Messi yet Fazio makes a superb challenge on his compatriot. Iniesta then tries his luck from the edge of the box yet his tame effort is straight down the throat of Varas.
Iniesta gets the better of Caceres down the wing before Varas clears the danger with Villa lurking. The ball then drops to Adriano 25 yards from goal with the left-back fizzing an ambitious drive towards goal that narrowly clears the bar.
Yellow Card Javi Varas
MESSI COMES CLOSE WITH A HEADER! Thiago floats a cross into the box and the diminutive Argentine leaps like a salmon to beat Medel to the ball with his head. However, despite Varas sprawling across his goalmouth, the ball bounces a yard wide.
GREAT SAVE FROM VARAS! Fazio blocks Messi's cross yet the ball falls to Iniesta on the edge of the box who drives the ball towards the bottom corner. However, the keeper turns it around the post for a corner.
Yellow Card Fernando Navarro
Watching Sevilla tonight makes you wonder why more Liga teams don't line up more defensively against the mighty Barca. So many sides come to Camp Nou already reserved to defeat but not Sevilla this evening.
Trochowski shoots from 30 yards out but it's a poor attempt - high, wide and not so handsome from the German midfielder.
All Barcelona at the moment as Sevilla make sure they get back to defend in numbers. Impressive defensive effort by the away team at the moment but can they keep it up?
Messi tries his luck with a free-kick from 30 yards out. It's a super effort but the ball drifts narrowly over the bar.
Yellow Card Javier Mascherano
Sevilla get the second half underway with Barcelona immediately winning possession of the ball. I wonder what Guardiola had to say at the break?
HALF-TIME! We head into the break 0-0. Sevilla have done well to frustrate the home side and despite Guardiola's men improving as the half went on, they certainly have not been at their best. Who will come out on top in this one and will there be any changes in personnel at half-time? Join us in 15 minutes to find out.
45' + 1'
Messi's shot takes a deflection and Varas does brilliant to turn the ball around the post for a corner.
There will not be any added time so looks like we're heading into the break 0-0.
Despite Sevilla's decent performance in this half, they have only had 24 per cent of possession compared to Barcelona's 76.
Yellow Card Jesús Navas González
It has to be said, Varas in the Sevilla goal has been magnificient so far tonight. Can the home team beat him tonight? Also, Jesus Navas is the first man to pick up a yellow card for tugging on Adriano's shirt.
WONDERFUL SAVE BY VARAS! Barca step it up a gear as Adriano and Iniesta play a clever one-two before the Brazilian full-back lays it off to Villa who can only watch on as he sees his effort from 15 yards out brilliantly blocked by the keeper.
The Catalan club's first-half is summed up when Iniesta's ball out to the wing is miscontrolled by Dani Alves who cannot keep it in play.
Barcelona are not used to not having it all their own way here at Camp Nou and frustration is starting to show a little in their play.
Messi plays a great through ball to Villa yet Varas is very alert and rushes out to claim the ball from the striker's feet. The keeper certainly has looked solid tonight and is justifying Marcelino's faith in him.
Villa comes close to sliding the ball into the net from six yards out but he just misses the ball. 30 seconds later Xavi finds Dani Alves with a brilliant ball into the box. However, the Brazilian takes a touch too many as Varas grabs the ball.
Another attempt on target for the away team as Del Moral gets his head to Jesus Navas' cross. However, his connection is tame as Valdes collects the ball.
Messi whips a corner into the box yet Varas claims the ball with ease. Guardiola's men certainly look a little off colour at the moment.
As we approach the half hour mark the score remains 0-0. First goal in this game will be crucial, there's no doubt about that.
Barcelona believe they should have a penalty yet the referee waves on play. Dani Alves tries his luck from range and Fazio blocks the ball. The Barca players believe he used his hand yet replays show it hit the player in the midriff.
Barca are struggling to find their rhythm at the moment as Marcelino's men continue to grow in confidence.
The away team are certainly looking the better side at the moment as Mascherano puts the ball out for a corner. Will they take a shock lead?
Sevilla have only won six out of 67 Liga encounters at Camp Nou yet they're threatening to add to this tally tonight.
TERRIFIC SAVE BY VALDES! Dani Alves knocks the ball into the direction of Jesus Navas who hits the ball towards the top corner. However, the Barcelona No.1 is on hand to tip the ball over the bar for a corner which Sevilla then waste.
Iniesta whips an inviting ball into the box yet Messi is a yard away from controlling it. Sevilla will be pretty happy with their performance so far yet there is a long time to go.
Armenteros comes close from 30 yards out. He picks the ball up and thrashes it towards goal, only missing the target by a yard or two. Nice effort.
SEVILLA NEARLY TAKE THE LEAD! The ball is whipped into the box and Abidal leaves the ball, unaware that Jesus Navas is behind him. The winger nearly gets to the ball yet Valdes is alert to clear the ball.
GREAT SAVE BY VARAS! Adriano does well to get down the right wing before playing a low ball into the box. Iniesta is first to it but his effort from 15 yards is blocked by the legs of the 29-year-old goalkeeper.
Barcelona have settled down now and are calmly stroking the ball around the pitch. The away side's work ethic and willingness to close down Barca s impressive but can they keep it up?
BARCA COME CLOSE! Messi plays a marvellous ball over the Sevilla defence with Iniesta running onto it. However, the midfielder is half a yard away from making contact as Javi Varas claims the ball with ease.
Both sides are seeing their fair share of possession in the early stages. How long will it be until we see a shot on goal?
Sevilla could be in for a long night, especially as they appear to be lining up with five in the middle of the park. Del Moral sits upfront on his own with Negredo out injured. The former Getafe man may struggle for service this evening.
We're underway here as Barcelona kick-off in their traditional blue and red kit. Sevilla are wearing all white with black socks.
Real Madrid have just beaten Malaga 4-0 away meaning Jose Mourinho's men leapfrog Barca to go top of the table. However, a win for the Catalans tonight will send the champions back to the number one spot. Both sets of players are now on the pitch as we approach kick-off.
Can Sevilla cause a massive upset here tonight at Camp Nou and end Barcelona's 100 per cent La Liga home record this season? It will certainly be a big task yet Sevilla are no slouches themselves and are currently unbeaten in the league. One of those records will go tonight.
Big team news for Pep Guardiola's men is the inclusion of Thiago and Keita in place of Pedro and Busquets. The Catalan club name the same back four who played in the 2-0 Champions League win over Viktoria Plzen, meaning no place for Puyol or Pique with the latter having to be content with a place on the bench. Big boost is the return of Fabregas who is also named among the substitutes.
Sevilla (4-2-3-1): Javi Varas; Caceres, Fazio, Escude, Navarro; Medel, Campana; Armenteros, Trochowski, Jesus Navas; Manu Del Moral
Barcelona (4-3-3): Valdes; Alves, Mascherano, Abidal, Adriano; Keita, Xavi, Thiago; Iniesta, Messi, Villa
