Paris Saint-Germain - Rennes Preview: Hosts looking to keep up pace with Montpellier
Carlo Ancelotti's men must win at Parc des Princes, but will have to overcome their bogey team, who can strengthen their grip on a Europa League place on Sunday

Carlo Ancelotti will be without Thiago Motta, who is suspended for the critical clash, with Mathieu Bodmer expected to take his place in midfield.
Meanwhile Christophe Jallet is a doubt after picking up a thigh injury in training on Thursday, but is expected to be risked with injuries keeping out Milan Bisevac (groin) and Marcos Ceara (ankle). Elsewhere, the capital club are without any fresh injury worries as the season reaches its critical stage.
Meanwhile, Rennes are expected to name an unchanged side from the one that lost 2-0 to Montpellier last week.
Mevlut Erding will miss the return to his former home after Frederic Antonetti stated that the Turkish striker's season had been ended by a knee injury, while Romain Danze and Onyekachi Apam (both thigh), Kader Mangane (ankle) and Vincent Pajot (thigh) have all been sidelined

- Paris Saint-Germain have scored just twice against Rennes in their last eight league matches.
- When these two sides met in Brittany in August, Kevin Gameiro (pictured, right) scored his first goal for the Parisians since his summer move from Rennes' local rivals Lorient.
- If Paris Saint-Germain fail to match or better Montpellier's result against Lille on Sunday night, their Ligue 1 bid will come to an end.
- Rennes are unbeaten against PSG in their last eight Ligue clashes, ever since a 1-0 loss to the Parisians in the French capital in October 2006.
- Mevlut Erding left the French capital in favour of Frederic Antonetti's side in January, and has since scored four goals in 11 Ligue 1 games.
- Julien Feret has either scored or assisted eight of Rennes' last 12 goals in all competitions.

While PSG splashed the cash on the likes of Javier Pastore and Kevin Gameiro this season, it's Nene who has taken the plaudits for his goal-scoring feats this season. The Brazilian spearheaded last week's comeback against Valenciennes, with a goal and two assists, and has been in fine form of late, both in front of goal and as a creative force.
After being roundly booed by his own fans in last week's loss to Montpellier, and having been widely linked with a summer move away from Ligue 1, Yann M'Vila will be eager to leave Rennes on a high note, and prove his doubters wrong. And there's no better way to do this than by leading his team-mates to victory against a vastly unpopular PSG side.
There are some things that you can't just explain in football. Paris Saint-Germain may be one of the most renowned names in French football, boasting a wide array of stellar names, but they just can't find a way past Rennes. What's more, it seems to be fated that this season's title is heading to Montpellier. Accordingly, I'd expect PSG's curse against Rennes to continue and the two sides to play out a frustrating draw.
