Made a terrific late reaction block to deny Brandao and commanded his box superbly throughout. Signed from Palermo last summer for €3.5 million, he continues to prove himself PSG’s best-value acquisition.
Has rarely featured in recent weeks because of injury troubles, but Ancelotti placed his faith in the former Valenciennes man. There were a number of occasions when his lack of match sharpness was apparent, but despite these moments he had a strong game.
The only PSG defender who looked capable of matching Marseille’s dominance in the air, the Brazilian gave a solid account of himself and policed Remy well. Again proved his value at the other end of the field with the winning goal.
Back in the team after injury troubles, and he made a decisive early impact by raiding up the left to produce the cross that ultimately led to the opening goal. Was solid defensively, although Amalfitano rarely tested him.
A more effective presence going forward down the right than he was in a defensive capacity. Around his own box, the right-back was unconvincing when in possession and was the clear weak link in the home rearguard defensively.
Opened the scoring with around five minutes on the clock, reacting well to place a left-footed shot into the bottom corner of the net. Was effectively played as a roaming centre forward, and although he was able to pick up some dangerous positions, he was left isolated just as frequently. A good performance, nevertheless.
Back in the starting XI after being controversially dropped for last weekend’s defeat in Nancy, the Brazilian was an ever-ready outlet for the home side. Although he offered moments of danger, he was unable to have a telling influence.
Swept up a number of dangerous Marseille attacks in an efficient manner, covering round for the full-backs and providing a mobile and destructive presence in the heart of the midfield.
The victim of the game’s first yellow card, being booked for a bad challenge on Andre Ayew with little over 10 minutes played, handcuffing the combative midfielder into playing a more conservative match than usual. With five minutes to go, he did pick up a second booking and was sent for an early shower – his third red card this season.
Offered the first threat of the game, flashing a shot just wide of Mandanda’s top corner, and the Argentine looked brighter in this encounter after displaying indifferent form of late. Worked hard when tracking back, though was guilty of giving away a couple of silly fouls.
Beat off injury to feature in this match, and the former Inter man enjoyed a strong game in a defensive capacity. PSG’s lack of ambition with the ball rather limited him as an attacking force, offering only brief glimpses of his strength going forward. Particularly useful in the closing stages.

Didn’t have a great deal to do aside from pick the ball from his net twice. Couldn’t keep out the rather tame effort from Menez early on, but in truth he had little time to adjust to the shot, and Alex’s header was simply too well placed for him to keep out.
Employed on the left of the rearguard, the Spaniard enjoyed another excellent performance for the Provence club. Made no errors at the back and made every effort to get forward and support the attack, delivering a number of crosses into the box.
Aged only 20, the young defender continues to look strong in the heart of the Marseille defence, displaying plenty of confidence throughout. Perhaps caught a little flat-footed as PSG opened the scoring, but little serious blame could be attributed to the defender, who was otherwise strong.
Shunted out to the right-back role, he made an inauspicious start to this match as PSG’s opening goal originated from down his channel. When he pushed forward, his crosses were typically disappointing, though he at least strengthened his game defensively.
An enormous physical presence in the heart of the Marseille side, his game will be most remembered for failing to out-jump Alex as the Brazilian headed PSG’s second. Had been a terrific presence for his side in the middle of the park and was perhaps the primary reason they were so dominant for such a long period.
The deep-lying playmaker in the Marseille side, he gave a disappointing account of himself in this clash. Passes went astray and his shooting was poor. His match was summed up with a horrible shot over the top in the closing stages when he probably should have scored. A talented player, but isn’t in good form at present.
The most notable offensive threat for Marseille from set pieces around the box, the Cameroon defender won countless headers but couldn’t steer one decisively on target for his side. Was a little rugged at time defensively, showing too much tendency to dive in.
A fierce drive just wide after 27 minutes was the highlight of the former Lorient man’s game. Otherwise, he was largely a passenger for Didier Deschamps’ men, not doing nearly enough to unsettle Maxwell.
Absolutely hammered physically by the PSG midfield, who took turns to let the offensive midfielder about their presence. When the diminutive midfielder retaliated after only 11 minutes, he was booked. The France international was certainly lively throughout, but he was unable to make a decisive impact on the game as he was persistently fouled.
Has been toiling with physical problems in recent weeks but was very active for Marseille at Parc des Princes. Won more than his share of balls in the air, often finding team-mates with the resultant flick, and from one such position he created Marseille’s equaliser. Would have wanted to have been more of a direct threat to Sirigu.
Scored the equalising goal with a header from close range, but the Ghanaian otherwise struggled to produce his best. When he was involved, he tended to be a catalyst for good chances to be created. Needed to be involved a little more, though.
His cameo saw him failed to seriously trouble the hosts.
