Live Commentary

  • 90' + 1'
And that's that. Borussia Dortmund chalk up their fourth successive league victory with an impressive second half performance. Great stuff from the champions, major headaches for Nurnberg. The champions move three points clear at the top.
  • 90'
There will be just one minute of additional time...
  • 88'
    SubstitutionJakub Blaszczykowski Ilkay Gündogan
  • 88'
Ilkay Gundogan comes on for Borussia Dortmund to a reception as icy as the weather from the Nurnberg faithful - he left the Bavarians for BVB in the summer.
  • 88'
Kuba has a half chance to make it 3-0, but his ambitious attempt from a volley is scuffed and drifts harmlessly wide.
  • 87'
The second goal really has knocked the stuffing out of Nurnberg, who look utterly deflated.
  • 84'
Dortmund have the ball in the net yet again from Kuba, but once more it's ruled out for offside. Grosskreutz was offside in the build up to the goal. I'm sure it's to matter little, however.
  • 82'
    Goal L. Barrios
GOAL!!! Lucas Barrios has surely secured all three points for Dortmund by smashing home the rebound after Schafer makes a weak save from Kagawa. The Paraguayan runs the full length of the pitch to celebrate. 2-0!!
  • 80'
    SubstitutionDominik Maroh Albert Bunjaku
  • 78'
Feulner is very lucky not to be sent off there. The former Dortmund defender used his arm to take the ball around Kuba, but the referee decides not to reach for his pocket and produce a second yellow card.
  • 75'
Kagawa makes what must be his first mistake of the match, as he fails to take Hummels' long pass under control. The Japanese star could have been in there.
  • 72'
    SubstitutionRobert Lewandowski L. Barrios
  • 72'
A little injury worry for Dortmund. Sebastian Kehl twists his ankle in an awkward position. The skipper hobbles back on the pitch, and meanwhile, Lucas Barrios has replaced Robert Lewandowski.
  • 70'
Nurnberg have come back into the game in the last few minutes, but they still don't look like penetrating the Dortmund defence, despite their incresed possession.
  • 69'
Chandler takes a great touch to get the ball past Schmelzer, and the BVB full back takes the American down. Nurnberg are unable to take advantage from the set-piece, however.
  • 66'
There's absolutely nothing from Nurnberg right now. The double change has failed to spark them into life and Dortmund look good value for their lead.
  • 63'
DISALLOWED GOAL! Dortmund almost seal the points as Lewandowski turns in Kehl's shot. The linesman flags, but yet again, there was just a whisker's breadth in it.
  • 60'
    SubstitutionAlmog Cohen Timothy Chandler
  • 60'
Nurnberg have thrown Alexander Esswein and Timothy Chandler into the action as they look to get a foot back in the match.
  • 59'
    SubstitutionChristian Eigler Alexander Esswein
  • 58'
Dortmund go on the attack with Piszczek making a great run down the right. Grosskreutz makes a run into the box but pauses on the penalty spot. The Polish full-back crosses rather than pulling the ball back and the opportunity is lost.
  • 56'
Dortmund have closed off any chance of being pegged back immediately. They're calmly keeping possession in the Nurnberg half, and look to be in very little danger of a fight-back.
  • 53'
    Yellow Card Markus Feulner
Markus Feulner picks up the first booking of the game for a late tackle on Leitner. The ball had long gone, it was a poor tackle on the Dortmund midfielder.
  • 50'
So Borussia Dortmund take the lead via their captain. It was a great ball by Leitner to set up Piszczek, then a cool finish from the skipper. Game on!
  • 48'
    Assist Lukasz Piszczek
  • 48'
    Goal Sebastian Kehl
GOAL!!!!! Well, we had 45 goalless minutes, but that doesn't continue long into the second half. Leitner plays a fantastic ball through the defence which Piszczek gets on the end of, cutting it back for Kehl who places it first time into the bottom corner. The Champions lead!!
  • 47'
Lewandowksi runs through, but Maroh comes across with a great tackle to stop any danger.
  • 46'
And we're back. Just 45 critical minutes for either side to grab a victory.
  • What a first half that was. Great play from both sides, but their finishing let them down. We're in store for a great second half...
  • 45' + 1'
And that's that. After just 10 seconds of stoppage time, the referee blows for half time. An even game with Nurnberg performing above expectations. Anyone's for the taking, be sure to tune in for the second half.
  • 42'
Hlousek puts in another dead ball, but Weidenfeller comes and punches this one far, far away.
  • 39'
Eigler rises highest from yet another Hlousek set piece, but his header goes wide. Dortmund need to sort out their set-piece strategy...
  • 36'
Piszczek puts in a beatiful cross that Lewandowski flicks back across the face of goal. Kagawa gets a foot to the ball to send it goal-wards, but Schafer stops it in its tracks inches from the goal line.
  • 35'
    Dortmund waste the resulting corner.
  • 35'
More great play from Kagawa, who puts in a magnificently weighted ball to the feet Lewandowski's feet. The Pole checks back and curls the ball towards the top corner, but Schafer acrobatically tips the ball over the bar.
  • 33'
Schmelzer puts in a threatening delivery, but a foul is given against Grosskreutz for a foul on Schafer. The Dortmund forward got flattened in the challenge and looks a little dazed.
  • 31'
Kehl gets the ball in a threatening area, cuts back on to his left foot, but his ball is over-hit and goes out for a Nurnberg goal kick. More wastefulness in front of goal.
  • 28'
Great play from Kagawa, who turns Hlousek inside out and plays the ball across the face of goal, but Lewandowski's clever flick takes a deflection but goes wide. No corner given, though.
  • 26'
Another golden opportunity for Dortmund. Lewandowski holds the ball up on the edge box well, and plays in Grosskreutz, who skies his first time shot. Again, the finishing should have been better.
  • 24'
Hlousek sends in another set play, but this one hasn't got the same zest to it, and is easily cleared.
  • 22'
    SubstitutionSven Bender Moritz Leitner
Meanwhile, Moritz Leitner has come on for Bender. Big worry for Dortmund, that.
  • 22'
LEWANDOWSKI! The Pole comes so close to putting his side ahead, in a one-on-one, but Schafer makes a good save. The 23-year-old could have done better there.
  • 20'
Injury worry for Dortmund. Sven Bender went down under a nasty challenge and is seriously struggling.
  • 19'
Dortmund are almost undone from yet another set piece. Hummels again takes an unsteady touch, and Pekhart blasts the ball over from close range. Are Nurnberg going to made to rue these missed chances?
  • 18'
Another great chance for Nurnberg! Didavi plays the ball behind the defence to Pekhart, who forces a save from Weidenfeller with a left-footed shot.
  • 17'
After that little burst from the hosts, Dortmund have moved to calm the pace of the match down, and have casually kept possession of the game to slow the tempo.
  • 14'
So a great start at the easyCredit Stadion. Dortmund have found themselves unlucky with a couple of offside decisions, while Nurnberg were mere inches away from taking the lead from a set piece.
  • 11'
SO SO CLOSE!! Hlousek's third corner is met at the near post by Simons, whose header is barely kept off the line by Kagawa. Nurnberg spring into life, while Dortmund look incredibly vulnerable. Great start to the match.
  • 10'
SO CLOSE! Schmelzer and Hummels fail to clear the corner, and Maroh's powerful drive is defltecte narrowly wide! Another corner!
  • 9'
Hlousek sends in the first corner of the game. Borussia Dortmund get the ball away, but fail to clear it properly, and Hlousek has another corner to take.
  • 7'
Another narrow offside. Subotic sprays a pass through the middle which Lewandowski runs onto, but the Polish international is flagged offside. Replays showed that the officials probably made the wrong decision. Klopp's men are pushing for the opener.
  • 5'
Frantic couple of minutes. Nurnberg insist they deserve a penalty for a Schmelzer challenge on Pekhart. The referee ignores their claims and break, but Grosskreutz is scythed down as he looked to make a charge on goal. Kuba wastes the resulting free-kick. Great start here.
  • 3'
Kagawa and Grosskreutz combine well on the edge of the Nurnberg bx, but Simons gets across and boots the ball out of play.
  • 2'
Dortmund have barely surrendered possession all match. Grosskreutz tries to latch on to a long pass from the back, but is flagged narrowly offside. Good start from BVB.
  • 1'
And we're off. Borussia Dortmund start the game with an attack, but Kuba's run is blocked off and Schafer has a goal-kick.
  • We're just seconds away from kick-off now. The action is about to start...
  • So who will win? Can Dortmund go (temporarily) three points ahead at the top of the Bundesliga? Can Nurnberg pull off a shock and end Jurgen Klopp's side's 13-match unbeaten run and put a dent in their title aspirations? All will be revealed... You can tweet your predictions to me @eniskoylu
