Salvatore Sirigu Top of the Match

Nearly made one tremendous error in the opening moments of the match with a back pass, but survived that scare. Thereafter the Italian was superb, making a particularly noteworthy save as he clawed the ball away from the top corner as Gueye took aim from 30 metres. Denied Jelen twice in stoppage time, saving his side a point.

    Ceará

The Brazilian filled in at left-back once again, and he would rarely be troubled down his flank. Was careful not to stray too far forward, doubtless aware he would not get a great deal of defensive help, and this gave PSG a solid base.

  • Zoumana Camara

    Zoumana Camara

Going into tonight’s match, PSG had won 10 of the 12 matches the centre-back has featured in this season, and he was in commanding form at the Parc des Princes once more. Quick into challenges, but did not over-commit himself too early. Can be prone to errors, but these were not on show tonight.

  • Milan Biševac

    Milan Biševac

A surprising selection ahead of Mamadou Sakho, but he competed well in the heart of the defence, producing a solid performance against Sow. PSG’s defensive line often sat deep, so his lack of pace was not exposed.

  • Christophe Jallet

    Christophe Jallet

A terrific challenge on Hazard just as the Belgian was about to pull the trigger 10 minutes from time typified his match. Shut out Cole impressively for the most part, but a disappointing offensive performance took the edge of his showing.

  • Nenê

    Nenê

PSG’s best player in recent weeks, he was the inspiration behind much of their offensive work in this clash. An early corner nearly flew straight into the net, but his decision making around the box was not always good, choosing to dribble when a better option would have been a pass.

  • Mohamed Lamine Sissoko

    Mohamed Lamine Sissoko

Perhaps the unsung hero of PSG’s recent performances, the holding midfielder was once again extremely active in stifling Lille’s creative players. Extremely aggressive, as one would expect, and picked up his standard booking.

  • Javier Pastore

    Javier Pastore

Although his form has come under question at times, the elegant Argentine always poses a threat with his passing ability, and though he didn’t dictate this match as he might have wished, he unlocked the Lille rearguard on several occasions, only for team-mates to squander his good work. Didn’t always use the ball ideally. Taken off with 10 minutes left for Armand.

  • Mathieu Bodmer

    Mathieu Bodmer

The former Lille man would have wanted to make a big impact against his former club, but this would not be his night in this regard. Did little wrong, but by the same token he was often a bystander in the middle of the field.

  • Jérémy Menez

    Jérémy Menez

Has tended to flirt in and out of PSG’s recent matches, and the former Roma and Monaco man did the same in this clash. Threatened in patches, but his offensive play too often flattered to deceive. Booked after kicking out at Mavuba.

  • Kevin Gameiro

    Kevin Gameiro

Passed up the best chance of the first half when he blasted wide following excellent work from Pastore, and does look a player a little short in confidence in front of goal. Much of his best work was done away from the box, showing quick feet and good skill, but this is not why he’s in the team.

Played 10 minutes at the end, coming on for Pastore as a defensive change.

Replaced Gameiro for the final 10 minutes.

    Mickaël Landreau

The former PSG goalkeeper might have expected a more difficult evening at his former home, but was never seriously stretched. Clutched a Nene free kick well, but otherwise only had to deal with some awkward clearances.

  • Franck Beria

    Franck Beria

A solid performance from the left-back, who was steady if unspectacular throughout. Made a particularly timely tackle on Sissoko at the edge of the box midway through the second period.

  • Aurélien Chedjou Fongang

    Aurélien Chedjou Fongang

Generally the most eye-catching of Lille’s central defenders, the Cameroonian was a little more subdued on this occasion. Caught out of position on a couple of occasions, though little serious damage was done.

  • Marko Basa

    Marko Basa

The big Serbian defender was a rock in the heart of the home defence, making several strong challenges on the PSG attackers. Dominated in the air, as is his custom, but it was his play on the ground that really impressed.

  • Mathieu Debuchy

    Mathieu Debuchy

Suffered a head knock in the first half that looked like it had been match ending for the right-back, but he battled on. Even before that moment, the usually reliable defender toiled to make his usual impact on this game, and was particularly limited in an attacking sense, though he did have a good second-half header saved.

  • Idrissa Gueye

    Idrissa Gueye

Brought into the side to offer more steel in the middle of the field compared to the more creative Benoit Pedretti, and it proved a wise decision as this encounter was played at a ferocious pace. Occasionally caught out of position, leaving the defence exposed, but competed well. A fierce drive after the break was Lille’s best effort.

  • Rio Antonio Mavuba

    Rio Antonio Mavuba

A player who thrives in physical battles such as this clash, the destructive midfielder was incredibly busy in the heart of the park, doing much good work in front of the visiting defence.

  • Florent Balmont

    Florent Balmont

Normally Mr. Reliable in Lille’s side, he started the match in unusually sluggish manner, making slack passes and timing his tackles poor. By the second period, though, he was back to his best, having a big influence on his side’s play at both ends of the park.

  • Joe Cole

Joe Cole Flop of the Match

Has not managed to establish himself as a definitive starter in the Lille side, and was not able to really make any kind of mark on this encounter. Showed some great skill down the left, but was rarely involved. Withdrawn for Payet after 67 minutes.

  • Moussa Sow

    Moussa Sow

The physical striker was unable to make an impact against PSG’s defence, though in truth the instinctive goalscorer was not given the kind of service he thrives on. Worked hard, but to no end product.

  • Eden Hazard

    11

    Eden Hazard

Ligue 1’s Player of the Season showed glimpses of his excellent dribbling skills, but PSG policed him well, dropping off and not allowing the young Belgian to use his acceleration to burst into pockets of space. Had limited success, as he was unable to really threaten around the box.

    Dimitri Payet

Nearly joined PSG last January and then turned them down in the summer to move to Lille, but had little impact after being brought on.

  • Ireneusz Jelen

    Ireneusz Jelen

Came on for Sow with only a couple of minutes to play. Nearly won the match in injury time.

  • Benoit Pedretti

    Benoit Pedretti

Given only a few minutes at the end.
