Stuttgart will have to do without the services of Johan Audel, captain Matthieu Delpierre, Pavel Pogrebnyak and Julian Schieber, who are still working their way back to fitness.
Changes are unlikely in Borussia Dortmund's first XI, after the 5-0 trashing of Koln in the last round. The definite absentees for BVB are Patrick Owomoyela, Julian Koch and Mohamed Zidan, who are injured.
Attacking midfielder Ivan Perisic returns from suspension after his red card against Werder Bremen, but is expected to start from the bench.

The Austrian has been Stuttgart's stand-out player this season, and has emerged as a leader of the team's attack. His aggressive and intensive gameplay is likely to cause Borussia Dortmund much trouble.
Gotze scored his first Bundesliga goal against Stuttgart last year, and has always been on target against the Swabians ever since. Bruno Labbadia's men have been susceptible to fast counter-attacks, and with 'Super Mario' facing Molinaro on the wing, do not bet on the German international to go home empty-handed.
Dortmund seem to be finally getting back on track in the league, but winning away to in-form Stuttgart could be a bridge too far for now. The Swabians are a volatile and unpredictable team, and their unbeaten run is bound to end at a point. However, given the history of this fixture, this is unlikely to happen on Saturday.
