    Gennaro Iezzo

Almost saved the penalty but it was a good strike to be fair to him. Had little or nothing else to do.

  • Fabiano Santacroce

    Fabiano Santacroce

His eagerness to impress resulted in a few misplaced passes but overall did well. Though wasn't tested much.

  • Cribari

    Cribari

Took a head knock early on and it showed in the second half, silly challenge on Meggiorini which could have cost his side on another day. On a positive note he coped well with the scraps Bologna threw at him in the air during the first 45 minutes.

  • Salvatore Aronica

    Salvatore Aronica

Another player who had a quiet evening, barely touched the ball in the first half. Coped well with whatever Bologna threw at him and even managed the odd foray forward.

  • Camilo Zúñiga

    Camilo Zúñiga

Intelligent dummy for Lavezzi's goal. He dominated the right side and enjoyed being deployed in his favoured position and almost scored a spectacular goal after dribbling past the entire Bologna team, but his eventual shot was blocked.

  • Hassan Yebda

Hassan Yebda Top of the Match

Deft header that looped over the goalkeeper. Dominated the midfield, made one sprint back to win the ball on the edge of his penalty area which typified his all action performance.

  • Manuele Blasi

    3.00

    Manuele Blasi

Did the simple things well, protected the back three, played easy balls to the more creative players and stopped Bologna from asserting their own game.

  • Luigi Vitale
    4
    0
    3.00

    Luigi Vitale

Made a number of bursting runs down the left side, though he lost the ball a couple of times as Busce got back to dispossess him. Injured himself making a challenge on the same player, eventually having to go off.

  • Marek Hamsik

    Marek Hamsik

Drifted right to find space in behind Cruz. Provided cross for Lavezzi's goal.

  • Ezequiel Lavezzi
    22

    3.50

    Ezequiel Lavezzi

On top form, a number of jinking runs caused confusion at the back, he took his goal well, showing great control and patience.

  • José Sosa

    2.50

José Sosa Flop of the Match

Looked lively in the first half and linked well with Lavezzi, but as the game wore on Portanova began to get him under control.

    Edinson Cavani

Managed half an hour, though didn't have any clear opportunities he was a menace which worried Cherubin and Portanova.

  • Cristiano Lupatelli

    3.00

    Cristiano Lupatelli

Made a brilliant brave save from Zuniga just before the first goal, which he could do nothing about. As with the second. Other than that dealt well with anything Napoli threw at him.

  • Andrea Esposito

    Andrea Esposito

Eventually shackled Sosa after a shaky start. Cynically brought down Zuniga late in the game.

  • Daniele Portanova

    3.00

    Daniele Portanova

Put in a number of timely blocks in to thwart Zuniga and Cavani. But had a torrid time trying to control Lavezzi.

  • Nicolò Cherubin

    Nicolò Cherubin

Played some good balls out from the back, but ultimately spent a good chunk of his time coaching the young left-back.

  • Juan Cruz

    2.50

    Juan Cruz

Left too much room in behind which was exploited by almost every Partenopei player who went to that side. Lavezzi gave him a stark warning in the first couple of minutes, something he never heeded.

  • Rene Krhin

    2.50

    Rene Krhin

Found some good positions in the second half, but was dominated by Yebda and Hamsik.

  • Ivan Radovanovic
    2

    2.50

    Ivan Radovanovic

Very poor indeed. When put under any pressure he panicked and on a number of occasions he needlessly played the ball out of the park.

  • Antonio Buscè
    2
    0
    3.00

    Antonio Buscè

Made some good runs forward but was thwarted by Aronica and spent a lot of time tracking the runs of Vitale.

  • Federico Casarini

    3.00

    Federico Casarini

Put in a couple of decent free kicks but was denied room by Blasi.

  • H. Giménez
    2

    2.50

    H. Giménez

Tried to do it all himself. When he did attempt to pass to a team-mate it rarely came off. Eventually hooked with ten minutes left

  • Riccardo Meggiorini

    2.50

    Riccardo Meggiorini

A good penalty but other than that his shooting was woeful, ending up in the running track everytime. The one good opportunity he did get in the first half he wasted.
