That's it from me, Luke Matthews tonight. I hope you have all enjoyed the late drama here. Juventus' hopes of Europe have been severely dashed while Catania may just beat the drop. Thank you and goodnight.
FULL-TIME! It ends 2-2 here in Turin and Juventus will be kicking themselves. Del Piero's first-half double looked to have Juve sailing to victory but credit to Catania who dug in deep. Gomez' close range effort gave the away side hope and Lodi's superb last-gasp free-kick earned the Sicilians a share of the spoils.
Goal Francesco Lodi
Yellow Card Felipe Melo
CATANIA EQUALISE! STUNNING FREE-KICK FROM LODI! The midfielder curls the ball into the top corner leaving Buffon helpless and that's the last kick of the game as Catania players celebrate wildly.
Another free-kick but even closer as Gomez' effort hits the arm of Melo who is booked. Goal anyone?
Last chance for Catania as Gomez is brought doen 30 yards from goal by Melo. Can Catania score here?
Yellow Card Ezequiel Carboni
We're into the first of three added minutes. Will we see any more goals in this entertaining match?
Brilliant frenetic finish to this one, completely end-to-end. Bonucci does well to block Bergessio's long-range shot.
Juve hit the away side on the counter-attack again and Melo crosses from the right. The ball misses its intended target Toni but Krasic is at the back post. He swings his leg wildly at the ball, missing the target completely.
Substitution Pablo Álvarez Ezequiel Schelotto
Can Catania get level? They are certainly making a great effort at the moment with Juve pinned back in their own half. Surely Del Neri's men aren't going to let this lead slip?
WHAT A WASTE FROM JUVE! The home team have three men against one as they approach the box. Krasic chooses to lay the ball to Pepe who takes the ball too wide in the box with his eventual shot being blocked by Capuano.
Assist Gonzalo Bergessio
Goal A. Cardona
2-1! CATANIA SCORE! The away team hit Juve on the counter-attack as Bergessio's low cross into the box is met by Gomez at the back post who slams the ball home from six yards. Late comeback anybody?
Decent cross into the box by Gomez which causes trouble amongst the Juve defence with Bergessio unable to get his shot at goal. Aquilani eventually clears the ball.
BRILLIANT PLAY BY KRASIC! The former CSKA man twists his marker inside out before floating a cross into the box. Toni jumps and gets as much power on his header as possible but Andujar's acrobatic dive sees the keeper claim the ball.
Substitution Alessandro Del Piero Simone Pepe
It is the captain Del Piero who is replaced by Pepe. The 36-year-old passes his armband to Buffon before receiving a well-deserved standing ovation from the crowd. A true Juve legend.
Pepe is about to be brought on by Del Neri. The winger is likley to replace Del Piero.
Time is running out now for Simeone's men who really are embroiled in a relegation battle, only one point clear of the relegation zone.
GOMES GOES CLOSE! The diminutive attacker hits a half volley from the edge of the box. His shot is parried by Buffon and Spolli smashes the rebound over the bar from three yards. A bad miss but luckily fro the defender, the linesman's flaf is up for offside to spare his blushes.
Substitution Alessandro Matri Luca Toni
Matri, who has been a little quiet in this second half is replaced by Toni who will provide some power up-front.
The away side go close with Bergessio's powerful header needing Buffon to be aware to stop the shot. However, the linesman has his flag up for offside.
Yellow Card Fabio Grosso
Grosso sees a yellow card for a late sliding challenge on Gomez. Not sure what it is tonight but the Argentine playmaker and Del Piero seem to be drawing plenty of fouls, usually leading to a yellow card for the culprit.
Del Neri's men are keeping possession very well at the moment. At this rate, they will be moving within a point of sixth-placed Roma.
Substitution Pablo Ledesma Francesco Lodi
We' re approaching the hour mark and Juventus are very much in control. Catania have been improved in the second half but look unlikley to score at the moment.
Melo's pass is flicked brilliantly into the path of Matri who struggled to get the ball out of his feet with two defenders near. However it looks like he is going to get a shot at goal but Andujar pounces on the ball.
Ricchiuti slips a nice looking ball towards Maxi Lopez but the striker is beaten to the ball by the alert Buffon. Good goalkeeping
CLOSE FROM MAXI LOPEZ. Ledesma takes the corner and the former Mallorca man flicks the ball on at the near post. However his effort is narrowly wide of the goal.
Krasic looks like he's going to get a chance at goal but Del Piero's deep ball towards the back post is cut out by a defender, stopping the Serbian having a shot at goal.
The away team have started the second half confidently. Their passing looks good as Gomez' cross is met by the head of Maxi Lopez. However the striker's effort is way wide of Buffon's goal.
Motta and Izco are the men who have been replaced at the break. The Juventus right-back is thought to have picked up a knock while Bergessio appears to be a tactical change.
Substitution Marco Motta Frederik Sorensen
Substitution Mariano Julio Izco Gonzalo Bergessio
Catania get us back underway here. Both sides have made a substitute each. Sorensen is on at right-back for Juve while Catania have introduced another striker, Bergessio.
HALF-TIME! Juventus are 2-0 thanks to a double from Del Piero. The home side have definitely been the better side but both goals have been fortunate. The first was a controversial penalty decison with the seconding coming from a deflected shot. Can Catania get themselves back into this game? It looks unlikley but in football, anything can happen. Join us in 15 minutes for the second-half.
Yellow Card Pablo Ledesma
Juventus are in full control at the moment. Amazingly Ledesma is booked for a late lunge on Del Piero, the Catania players cannot get near the striker at the moment. He may be 36 but his mind is five seconds faster than anyone else on the pitch.
GREAT SAVE FROM ANDUJAR! Del Piero curls a wonderful free-kick towards the far corner but the Argentine shot-stopper turns the ball around his post for a corner.
Yellow Card Matías Silvestre
Yellow Card Matías Silvestre
Silvestre is shown a yellow card for a late lunge on Del Piero. The striker now has an opportunity to score a first-half hat-trick as he lines the 25 yard free-kick up.
CROSSBAR FROM CATANIA! The away side almost instantly pull a go back when the ball falls to Gomez on the edge of the box who thunders a vicious effort towards the goal. It's central but Buffon is beaten.. However the crossbar comes to the home team's rescue.
Assist Milos Krasic
Goal Alessandro Del Piero
2-0 JUVENTUS! DEL PIERO SCORES A SECOND! Fortunate goal for the veteran. Krasic smashes a dangerous ball across the six-yard box which comes off Silvestre's leg before hitting Del Piero's chest and finding the back of the net. Not sure how much the striker knew about that.
The tempo has slowed a little in recent minutes with the Old Lady happy to keep the ball in the middle of the park.
Grosso launches a free-kick into the box but it is easily cleared by Simeone's men. Can Juve add a second?
Yellow Card Nicolás Spolli
Ricchiuti slips a nice looking ball through to Maxi Lopez but the former Barcelona man sees his shot saved comfortably by Buffon from 12 yards.
Juventus are looking fairly impressive so far with Matri looking lively. The striker has scored seven goals for Juve since his January loan swicth from Cagliari.
Maxi Lopez is very isolated for Catania up-front at the moment which will worry the strugglers. Juventus are sitting back at the moment, soaking up the pressure.
Ricchiuti attempts to find Ledesma with a clever through ball but he fails to read the pass allowing Buffon to claim the ball. Could have been a decent chance for the away side there if Ledesma had been a little more alert.
Can the away team respond? They have a free-kick but Gomez wastes it, smashing the ball into the wall.
Penalty Goal Alessandro Del Piero
1-0 JUVENTUS! DEL PIERO CONVERTS THE PENALTY! He slides the ball into the bottom right corner, sending the keeper the wrong way. Nice penalty.
PENALTY TO JUVENTUS! It looks very soft and on replay it's difficult to see what the penalty was given for. A potential shove on Melo by Capuano appears to be the crime here.
Unfortunately not for the home support. The ball cannons off the wall and out of play for a corner. Pressure building now.
Ledesma chops down Matri 25 yards out after the striker shows quick feet. Is this within range for Del Piero?
Del Piero whips an inviting set-piece into the box but the ball is narrowly missed by Matri. Grosso picks the ball up on the left-side of the box but his drilled effort back into the danger zone is cleared.
No but Juventus can. Gross marauds down the left wing, taking on several Catania defenders in the process. The World Cup winner made his way into the box but looked to have miscontrolled the ball. However, Silvestre's attempted clearance hit the 32-year-old's shin and nearly beat Andujar, with the side-netting coming to the keeper's rescue.
A little bit of pressure from Catania now who are doing a better job of retaining the ball. Can the Sicilians create a goalscoring opportunity?
This one hasn't really got going yet. The home side look stronger but only that Marchisio effort so far.
GOOD CHANCE FROM MATRI! The on-loan striker loses his marker as Motta swings a precise cross Marchisio who controls well before trying his luck from 15 yards out. Andujar did very well to get down low to turn the ball around his post.
Gomez tries his luck from 30 yards out. He strikes it fiercely and the ball appears to be heading towards the top corner. However the ball rebounds off the back of Bonucci before going out of play for a corner for the away side.
Juventus have seen more of the ball at the moment but no chances as of yet. Catania are fielding 10 Argentine's tonight. What is the world coming to?
Motta receives the first yellow card of the game for a challenge from behind on Gomez. Silly tackle from the full-back.
Yellow Card Marco Motta

Catania on the otherhand are struggling for survival. The club have slipped to 16th place and are only a point clear of the drop zone. The Elephants are big under-dogs for tonight's game but will feel they have a chance against the inconsistent Old Lady. Do we have a shock on our hands tonight?
Hello and welcome to Goal.com's coverage of the Serie A fixture between Juventus and Catania. Luigi Del Neri's men have had a disappointing campaign considering the amount invested in the summer. They currently sit in seventh place, four points behind Roma who occupy the final Europa League spot. Victory tonight is imperative if Juve are going to qualify for Europe next season.
