The spoils were shared at the Mario Rigamonti as Brescia and Inter had to settle for a 1-1 draw. Samuel Eto'o opened the scoring in the first half with a deft flick to give Inter a one-goal cushion. Just as Inter thought they were high and dry, Andrea Caracciolo flicked in the equaliser late in the game, but failed to give the hosts the three points after missing from the spot and was sent off moments before the final whistle.

Caracciolo was very active early in the match and had a shot way over the bar after superbly finding space to shoot. Inter, however, were the better team in the first minutes of the game and were looking to exploit every mistake by Brescia's water-tight defence.

Wesley Sneijder went really close to opening the scoring with a powerful shot from distance around the ten-minute mark, but his finish fizzled wide. Yuto Nagatomo was very active for Inter on the left flank as well and occasionally troubled the Rondinelle's defence.

A goal finally came for the champions on the 18th minute when Eto'o superbly finished from just outside the six-yard box after being picked out by Andrea Ranocchia. The Nerazzurri continued to press after the opener with Goran Pandev sending a poor finish from long-range.

Brescia were forced to make a substitute early in the game after Gaetano Berardi picked up and injury and was replaced by Fabio Daprela. The hosts tried to back into the game, but were superbly stifled by Inter's resolute attack and entered half-time with a one-goal deficit.

Brescia went all out attack after the break and nearly got the opener moments after the restart when Caracciolo headed over from inside the box. The Rondinelle captain was at the centre of things six minutes later when he superbly powered through Inter's defence only to see his finish fly wide.

The Nerazzurri reminded of their fire power just before the hour mark when Sneijder sent a crashing drive which hit the post. In the 63rd minute Pandev wasted a great opportunity to put the game beyond Brescia's reach, but failed to finish past Michele Arcari.

The Rondinelle continued to push forward nonetheless and should have gotten a penalty fourteen minutes from time when Nagatomo handballed in Inter's penalty area. Brescia did get the equaliser, however, when Caracciolo headed in a horrible back pass by substitute Ivan Cordoba in the 85th minute.

The Colombian defender's nightmare continued as four minutes later he conceded a penalty and as a result was sent off. Lucky for him Julio Cesar managed to save Caracciolo's penalty to earn a point for his team. Rondinelle's captain picked up his second yellow card after letting his nerves get the better of him.

Following tonight's result Inter are second in the standings, while Brescia are 19th. The Nerazzurri's next league game is at home against Lecce on the 20th March, while the Rondinelle visit Juventus on the same day.
