    Willy Caballero

Had a wonderful first half in which he blocked a couple of very dangerous free-kicks. Had no chance for the penalty, and Afellay's wonder-strike, but should have placed a defender at the left post for the third goal.

  • Eliseu

    Eliseu Flop of the Match

The Portuguese conceded a silly penalty, and was very shaky at the back, especially in the first half. Had some good runs in the first period, but after the break he barely crossed the half-way line.

  • Weligton

    2
    2.00

    Weligton

Had a solid first half, reducing Barcelona to desperate long-range drives. His level of performance dropped considerably after the break, and was partially at fault for the third goal.

  • Kris Stadsgaard

    2.50

    Kris Stadsgaard

His unwillingness to close down opponents nearly cost his team in the first half when he allowed Sergi Roberto a free shot at goal. The same mistake was punished by Afellay after the break. All in all, an average performance.

  • Jesús Gámez

    2.50

    Jesús Gámez

The right-back had a solid game in defence, and was very efficient in attack as well. Made one minor mistake in the build-up to Barcelona's second, but generally did decently.

  • Duda
    7
    3
    2.50

    Duda

The ex-Sevilla winger had a very good game as he was always dangerous from open play and on set-pieces. Caused a lot of trouble for Adriano and Alves.

  • Camacho
    8
    2
    2.50

    Camacho

The ex-Atletico Madrid man had a good game in the centre of the pitch, pressuring opponents and distributing the ball. Showed great work-rate and commitment.

    Sebastián Fernández Miglierina

The Uruguayan scored with a fine shot, and looked dangerous in the first half. Somewhat faded away after the break.

  • Apoño

    2.50

    Apoño

His eagerness to win the ball back nearly got him into trouble on a couple of occasions. Ran a lot and passed neatly in a decent performance in the middle of the park.

  • Vincenzo Maresca

    25
    2.50

Vincenzo Maresca Top of the Match

Had an outstanding game as he threaded a few fantastic balls for his team-mates, including the one for the opener. Created a clear chance for Juanmi shortly before Bojan's penalty, which the striker wasted.

  • Juanmi

    2.50

    Juanmi

Despite showing good movement, the striker was seemingly short on confidence, and failed to threaten Pinto with his finishing. Overall, a poor game.

The goalkeeper was left with no chance for Fernandez's striker, but did very well to deny Juanmi just before Bojan's goal. Had very little to do after the break.

  • Maxwell

    2.50

    Maxwell

The Brazilian had a decent game as he supported Bojan well on the flank, and was unshakable at the back. A promising performance from the ex-Inter man.

  • Éric Abidal

    2.50

    Éric Abidal

The Frenchman is slowly returning to fitness, and this game was proof that he is on his way to complete recovery. Very stable at the back, and always there to bail Bartra out of trouble.

  • Andreu Fontàs Prat

    13
    3.00

    Andreu Fontàs Prat

    3.00

    Bartra

The centre-half had an average game at best until he scored with a towering header in the 85th minute. His poor positioning cost Barcelona the opener, and his inability to mark Malaga's attackers exposed Pinto on more than one occasion.

    14
    3.00

    Thiago Alcántara

Still not on Xavi's level, but not too far either. Distributed the ball well, and showed great dribbling and shooting ability in a very promising performance.

  • Jeffrén Suárez
    68
    14
    2.50

    Jeffrén Suárez

The young attacker had a thunderous first half, when he got close to scoring twice from free-kicks. Faded away after the break.
