The American has been in fine form once again this season and pulled out a performance to savour. He made a fantastic save to keep out Anelka's long range effort just before half-time and was sharp throughout.
Has been by far Everton’s best player this season and despite having played every single minute this campaign, showed an energy to suggest that he could play another 38 games with ease.
Was a rock at the heart of the defence. First to almost every ball and dominant in the air. Unlucky to see his 8th minute header bounce off the bar. Could have allowed Chelsea in with a tentative touch but was saved by Distin.
Made his 350th Premier League appearance today and is as sharp as he was when started his career on loan at Newcastle United in 2001. Played Torres out of the game and was coolness personified on the ball.
Not the most mobile of players at the back but caused all sorts of problems for Chelsea, ploughing forward early on and delivering a couple of fantastic crosses. Great stuff from the right-back.
Was bright from the off, powering down the right hand side past Alex and cutting off Chelsea's supply to their strikers with an all-action display. Broke strongly down the right to worry Ashley Cole.
The World Cup finalist was as full blooded as ever in the centre of the Toffees’ midfield, not allowing his Chelsea counterparts an inch in the centre circle. Kept the ball well and never stopped hassling his opponents.
Captained his side in the absence of Phil Neville and looked to dictate the pace of the game Took the initiative from the off, linking defence and attack swiftly as Everton looked to catch Ancelotti’s men on the break. Saw a great effort fly just wide with 20 minutes remaining.
Has had a wonderful second half of the season, establishing himself as the creative catalyst in Everton’s midfield and covered every blade of grass for his side once again. Tired in the second half but still showed some brilliant touches.
Should have given his side the lead after quarter of an hour, dallying on the ball far too long in front of Petr Cech but was a menace down the right flank showing bags of energy. Sent off just before the hour mark for a forceful challenge on Mikel.
Took his goal superbly, racing from his own half to embarrass the Chelsea defence. Had looked to use his pace to test Alex and John Terry with a number of probing runs in behind the Chelsea line but his side were far more effective down the flanks. Should have broken the deadlock on the hour mark but hit a limp effort into Cech but more than atoned for his earlier miss.
Came on late but had little effect.

Rarely puts a foot wrong in the Chelsea goal and delivered with typical solidity once again today. Let his defenders attack Everton's crosses but came out when needed. Got down well to keep out Beckford on the hour mark. A solid display by the Czech international.
Came to Goodison looking to prove to Leighton Baines that he is still the country's best left-back but was tormented on occasion by Seamus Coleman in the first half, failing to keep up with the flying Irishman.
Typically powerful in the air, the Brazilian cut out almost everything directed at Jermaine Beckford early on and kept his side in the game. Was perhaps lucky not to concede a penalty in the first half for a challenge on Osman, other than that didn't really put a foot wrong but was hardly tested in fairness.
Wasteful with his distribution early on, the England captain was all over the place on occasion, relying on Alex to dig him out of a number of holes. Improved in the second half to keep Beckford out of the game with a couple of fine challenges. Going forward he was unlucky not to score after a fine 20 yard low drive which cannoned off the post.
Was given the unenviable task of quelling the threat of Leighton Baines down the Everton left-wing but the Serbian looked solid as ever at the back and was impressive on the break, sliding in a number of fizzing balls and was unlucky that his teammates were unable to take advantage.
The Ghana international worked hard in tracking Rodwell and Arteta in the middle of the park but rarely got a touch of the ball and even when possession came the former Lyon man's way, his lateral passing did little to threaten the hosts.
Hasn't been at his sparkling best this season and looked off the pace in the opening exchanges, failing to reach Anelka's early cross and then losing possession outside the Toffees box early on. Showed more class in the second 45 with some good touches and peppered Howard's goal with a flurry of shots.
Was a passenger whose only involvement was to occasionally break up Everton's possession with a number of mistimed tackles. Might as well have started his summer holiday a week early.
You got the impression that the France international never really got out of first gear on the left wing for the visitors, wasting the chance to break in the opening 10 minutes with an awful attempted through ball. Never really picked up from there.
Tormented the Toffees during his time on the red half of Merseyside but hardly got a sniff in the first half as Chelsea struggled to get the ball down with any meaningful spells of possession, the summer can't come quick enough for the Spaniard.
The club’s leading scorer in all competitions this season, Anelka came into this game with his future at Stamford Bridge uncertain and he looked more than a little rusty. Wasted an early ball to a breaking Ashley Cole and meandered in and out of proceedings.
Was brought on with 20 minutes remaining but still lacked the pace to stop the lightning quick Beckford.
Was brought on as Chelsea tried to secure a point but was carefully marked by Arteta.
Replaced Mikel to offer more attacking intent but had very little impact off the bench.
