Serie A Preview: Juventus - Cagliari
Luigi Del Neri needs to find a solution to the Bianconeri's problems this weekend...

Old Lady Withering Fast
Juventus' 4-0 thumping of Udinese in Udine last weekend injected a healthy dose of confidence among the Bianconeri supporters. However, the Old Lady went back to square one on Thursday evening as they were humiliated 3-1 by Palermo in Turin.
It was the Bianconeri's second defeat in Serie A this season and one that has dragged them by the nose to just two points above the relegation zone. Luigi Del Neri's side are currently 15th with four points and are already six points behind defending Italian champions and current league leaders Inter.
Coach Del Neri has come under pressure as the Old Lady continue to wither but the former Sampdoria tactician remains calm, although he does suggest that it could be a long and hard campaign for the former European champions.
"We all know it is going to be a difficult season," Del Neri reflected. "I thought we had resolved our problems, but we haven't. We will start again, and will work hard during training.
"The victory in Udine was meant to give us some security, but it obviously didn't. The side has paid the price for not being attentive enough. We must be more decisive with what we do on the pitch.
Eying An Upset
Cagliari are having quite a fruitful season in the Italian top flight and accomplished an encouraging feat in midweek when they held Sampdoria to a 0-0 draw in Sardinia.
The draw keeps the Rossoblu in seventh place with six points from four matches - just one off a European place. Furthermore, Cagliari have the best defensive record among the 20 clubs in Serie A as they have conceded just once.
Cagliari are unbeaten so far this campaign and have drawn both their away matches. However, Pierpaolo Bisoli's side have failed to score either Palermo in Sicily or in Bari.

Del Piero was arguably the only Juventus player who looked like he could fight against Palermo on Thursday evening and indeed the Bianconeri legend has looked better than most of his team-mates so far this season. The 2006 World Cup winner will be expected to go that extra mile and inspire the former Italian and European champions.

The Juventus midfield has looked fragile and has allowed itself to be overrun by their opposition. This should encourage Cagliari's creator-in-chief Cossu, who will know that his trickery and skills could lead him past a susceptible Juventus defence.
