Sebastian Schachten Flop of the Match

An absolute disaster from the off. Allowed Altintop to get behind him each time Bayern went forward. Couldn't cope with Lahm either. Gave away the penalty and taken off at half time. A game to forget.

    Tobias Levels

Left too much space for Pranjic cross on numerous occasions though he coped better in the second half.

    Filip Daems

Some tidy defensive play by the centre-back but will be disappointed with his first half showing. Dragged out of position far too often.

    Roel Brouwers

Much better at left-back than Schachten and kept Altintop quiet, though he lost Lahm for the late equaliser.

    Roman Neustädter

Was overrun during the first period but held his own well in the second period though could have done better with the few goalscoring chances he had.

    Patrick Herrmann

The main attacking threat for Gladbach first down the right then the left. Will be delighted with his goal, but it was a tad lucky.

Did very little and was taken off at the break.

    Marco Reus

Good running from the forward, made the third as he outpaced Pranjic and Demichelis. Always a nuisance for the Bayern defenders and took his goal very well indeed.

Had a torrid time in the first half as he had to cover for Schachten all too often. Better in the second session with a number of crucial blocks.

    Raul Bobadilla

Could not make the ball stick in the first half but his hold up play was excellent in the second session and he brought his team mates into the game well.

    Hans-Jörg Butt

Poor positioning for the first goal and seemed a little out of sorts when he was tested.

    Danijel Pranjic

During the period when Bayern were dominant he was brilliant on the left providing width, but defensively he is slack and a weak point at the back.

He hit the bar with a header before a delightful backheel put Bayern in the lead, then moments later missed a penalty. He played closer to the front and seemed a little unsure of his role, but dropped deep later in the game to more effect.
