How Will Dortmund React To Life At The Top?
With last week's victory over Koeln, the boys from North Rhine-Westphalia sit top of the Bundesliga for the first time this season. The victory saw Jurgen Klopp's men equal a club record (seven consecutive wins), a record originally set by Klopp back in 2008/09. This time the coach from Stuttgart will look to go one better with a win over fellow high-flyers Hoffenheim.
Die Schwarzgelben will be hoping the disappointment of conceding a late equaliser mid-week versus PSG will not have a negative impact on Sunday's game. Klopp certainly doesn't seem to think so. "The 1-1 draw wasn't such a bad result. After the defeat against Sevilla we beat Bayern 2-0," the BVB coach told the official Bundesliga website.
As well as the pressure of playing in Europe, Dortmund now have to deal with being the Bundesliga leaders after over-taking Mainz last weekend on goal difference. However it appears that no one at the club will be taking their high position for granted.
"This win of course, means a lot to me. But we must keep our feet on the ground," Neven Subotic told Dortmund's official website after beating Koeln last Friday.
"In football a lot of things can happen and in the end BVB could be left empty-handed. That's why we have to remain modest."
BVB were able to take four points from Hoffenheim last season and will know that they will need the Westfalenstadion crowd to act as a twelfth man if they're to overcome a Hoffenheim side with aspirations of European football.
Return To Form For Hoffenheim
After making a superb start to the season with three wins from three, Ralk Rangnick's team have gone rather stale of late. However victory over Moenchengladbach last weekend, their first in five games, appears to have given the side a much needed confidence boost, confidence that will be key if they are to defeat Bundesliga leaders Dortmund this Sunday.
With BVB's impressive form and home advantage many are expecting die Hoffe to come away with nothing, something that may play into the hands of the visitors. "We're the outsiders so we're going to have to muster a top performance," defender Marvin Compper told the Bundesliga website.
"Most people are expecting BVB to continue their winning streak, and that gives us even more of a chance to get something from the game. Nobody is expecting us to win."
If Hoffenheim are to snatch something from the game they will need Vedad Ibisevic to step up his game. The Bosnian striker has been in poor form of late and has only two Bundesliga goals to his name this season. Questions have been raised whether he will start the Dortmund game after being replaced at half-time against Moenchengladbach.
However, Rangnick has confidence in his player and looks likely to give him his ninth consecutive start. "After a rather weak showing against Gladbach he reacted in the way I know he can. He's given 100 per cent in training and given a good account of himself," the Hoffenheim coach told the club's website.
Ibisevic and co will have to put in a stellar performance if they are to stop the in-form Bundesliga team so far this season.

The home side welcome back Marcel Schmelzer after his Europa League suspension mid-week. Patrick Owomoyela is still struggling with a hamstring problem so Lukasz Piszczek will continue to deputise. Sven Bender will undergo a late fitness test after suffering a muscle injury during the PSG game on Thursday. Mario Goetze will replace the former 1860 Munich man if he is ruled out with captain Sebastian Kehl (hamstring) and Florian Kringe (hip) also missing for Jurgen Klopp's team. Tama Hajnal (hamstring) also misses the game, as does Mohamed Zidan (cruciate ligament) who has recently started light training.
Probable Starting XI: Weidenfeller - Piszczek, Hummels, Subotic, Schmelzer - Goetze, Sahin - Blaszczykowski, Kagawa, Grosskreutz - Barrios

Die Hoffe are near full-strength as they head into this vital clash with Dortmund. Isaac Vorsah does have an ankle injury but is expected to shake off the knock in time for Sunday's encounter. Josip Simunic has returned to fitness so could replace Vorsah if he fails to do so. The away side are likely to name the same starting line-up that came from behind to beat Moenchengladbach last weekend.
Probable Starting XI: Starke - Beck, Vorsah, Compper, Ibertsberger - Rudy, Luis Gustavo, Salihovic - Ba, Ibisevic, Mlapa
