FULL-TIME! It's all over and Spain win 3-2 to claim the bronze medal in the Confederations Cup. The hosts must settle for fourth!
Approaching stoppage time now and Spain are looking comfortable in possession. South Africa struggling to get anywhere near Casillas' goal.
Spain continue to come forwards and it looks like time is running out for the hosts!

Oh controversy!! Spain cross from the right towards Silva but the ball is cleared by Mhlongo. Spain are convinced he has used his arm and want a penalty but the referee isn't interested!
Back down the other end and Riera picks out Silva but he can't get a firm enough header on the ball!
Good save Casillas! South Africa break again with real purpose. Gaxa crosses and Mhlongo sets up Parker who fires in a venomous shot which the Spain stopper pushes around the post!
What a chance for South Africa! Mphela is sent clear through by nice dinked ball over the top and just has Casillas to beat for his hat-trick but the Real Madrid man blocks with his feet!
Danger for Spain as South Africa win a free kick right on the edge of the box, to the left. Sibaya whips it in but Spain get it clear.
So close for Spain! Capdevila gets wide on the left before crossing and his ball just clips the top of the crossbar before flying out of play. Close call!
The hosts are looking confident at the start of extra-time. That late equaliser has given them just the boost they needed.

Cracking strike by Guiza who is outside the box on the right. He dinks a ball over the goalkeeper and in off the post. Fantastic goal!

Well, could we have another shock on our hands now! Good play from the hosts who work the ball out wide on the left to Tshabalala who sends in a cross which substitute Mphela controls before smashing past Casillas from close range!!

Into the last 20 minutes and South Africa look to have weathered that little Spanish storm. If it's still all square at the 90 minute mark, then we will head for 30 minutes of extra time and possibly penalties.

Good save Khune! Spain stroke the ball around nicely until Riera plays a one two with Guiza and fires in a low shot at the near post but the stopper saves well!
Chance for Spain as Alonso finds Riera down the left and he crosses for Silva. However, the substitute can't quite get a shot away. Seconds later Silva dinks a ball in for Guiza but he's just beaten to the ball by Khune.

Vicente Del Bosque opts to make a couple of changes sending on Guiza and Silva for Villa and Torres.
The hosts enjoy a spell of possession in the Spanish half but they can't quite fashion a clear chance. Eventually they win a free kick which Modise swings in and Casillas punches clear.
Torres! The Liverpool man tries his luck from long range but whilst it's well hit it's far too close to Khune who grasps it gratefully.
Spain win an early free kick which Alonso takes. It's straight in the wall which the referee deems to be encroachment and the kick is retaken. Alonso squares to Villa who shoots low. Khune saves and whilst Busquets knocks in the rebound he's offside and it won't count!!

Sergio Busquets is the first man in the book,handing the hosts yet another free kick. It's floated into the box and Parker gets a head on it but his effort is comfortably saved by Casillas.

GREAT SAVE CASILLAS! Tshabalala fires in a low shot from outside the box which a diving Casillas parries away. However, the ball comes straight to Booth who has a great chance but fires wide!!!
South Africa break forwards and work the ball out to Masilela on the right flank. He swings a cross in which falls straight into the arms of Iker Casillas...
Alonso finds Villa this time and he tries to lay it off for Torres but his pass isn't good enough and the danger passes. South Africa will be pleased with the way they have defended so far.
Alonso tries to spray the ball forward but he can't find a team-mate. Spain just starting to get a bit sloppy and mis-place a few passes...
Riera gives the ball away in his own half and the hosts enjoy a spell of possession. South Africa have struggled for goals in this tournament and have produced few chances so far in this game.
Great stuff by Torres who runs from the byline, beating a couple of men along the way but just as he is about to shoot a defender gets a foot in and the ball rolls tamely back to Khune.
GREAT TACKLE BY MASILELA! Villa was clear through on goal after breaking from the corner and just as he was about to shoot the defender got in to nick the ball away!!
Corner to the hosts after Arbeloa, unable no pressure at all puts it out of play. The kick is taken short but it's wasted and Spain can break...
Torres tries to slip in Villa in the box but the pass is just a little too strong and the ball runs safely out of play. Spain yet to really click into top gear so far.
LET OFF FOR SPAIN! Another free kick to South Africa in Spanish territory but some 35 yards from goal. It's pumped to the far post where Booth is unmarked but he doesn't get enough on the ball and his header flashes just wide.
Spain attack down the left this time with Riera sending in a cross but he's over-hit it and can't pick out Liverpool team-mate Fernando Torres.
Sibaya out on the left picks up possession and drives forward, before cutting inside and shooting way over the bar. Poor choice, Pienaar was in the box and would have been a far better option!
A free kick to South Africa is pumped into the box and not dealt with by the Spanish! Booth at the far post keeps it in play and eventually it goes for a corner which comes to nothing.
Great pass by Alonso upfield finds Villa running onto the ball in the box. He has Masilela for company though and although he outmuscles him and gets his shot away at the near post the whistle goes for a foul by the Spaniard.
GREAT SHOT BY VILLA! Super stuff from the forward who beats his man outside the box before curling an effort towards the top corner but Khune does brilliantly to palm it away!
Cagey start in sunny Rustenburg. South Africa make progress down the right but Gaxa's cross is hoofed clear.
Here we go! South Africa, in yellow and green, get this first half underway. Yet Spain quickly gain possession and put a few early passes together.
