Substitution Radoslav Kovac Mark Noble
Decent effort by Diamanti who picks up possession deep in the Arsenal half and comes forward before hitting a fierce shot which is deflected wide for a corner.
A good spell for Arsenal, who are keeping West Ham penned back inside their own half, but for all their silky build up play they can't quite find a finish and Green is left untroubled so far.
Upson fouls Eboue on the edge of the box and Arsenal have a free kick in dangerous territory. Up steps Fabregas but he bends his kick around the wall and well wide of the post.
Yellow Card Matthew Upson
Good build up play by West Ham but again the finish is poor with Diamanti sending a tame effort straight at Almunia.

No changes for either side at the break as Arsenal get us underway, however the weather has changed and it's now pouring down at the Emirates!
HALF-TIME! Arsenal lead 1-0 at the break but will have to play the second half with 10 men after Vermaelen was sent off right before half time! West Ham missed the subsequent penalty but can they get back in this? Join me in 15 minutes to find out!

So close to a second goal for Arsenal! Again Clichy steams down the left, slides in Fabregas who tries to find Nasri at the far post but West Ham clear virtually off their own goal line!
Yellow Card Sol Campbell
West Ham attack but Spector is denied by Campbell, who jumps in two footed on the edge of the box but manages to get the ball. Minutes later he goes in late on Stanislas and this time he does see yellow.

Bendtner and Eboue combine down the right with the Ivorian sliding in a cross but there's just too much on it and a sliding Arshavin at the far post can't quite reach it.
More pressure from Arsenal. A cross from Nasri eventually comes to Arshavin and he runs into the box but Spector does well to deny him and hoof clear.
Over half an hour gone at the Emirates and Arsenal lead courtesy of that early Denilson goal. However, West Ham have done OK since going behind and do look a threat at times on the break.

Behrami goes in late on Fabregas and gets a talking to from the referee who opts to keep his cards in his pocket.
Another lovely, one touch move by the Gunners has the Hammers chasing shadows. However, a heavy touch by Bendtner means Fabregas can't quite get on the end of it and Green can claim.
A twisting run by Eboue causes problems for West Ham but he can't quite find the finish to match and smacks his shot well wide of Green's right hand post.
Nervy moment for Arsenal as Fabregas goes down after a challenge from Kovac. However, the skipper gets slowly to his feet and he'll be fine to continue.
Lovely ball by Diamanti frees Stanislas down the right. He then bends in a cross for Mido but the striker, on the stretch, can't quite get a toe on the end of it to convert.
