Well, that's all from a rainy St Mary's this afternoon. Thank you for joining us for our LIVE play-by-play coverage of this Premier League clash. We'll see you soon!

It was hardly a classic, and Saints will be disappointed to drop points at home in a game that was there for the taking, but West Ham - mainly thanks to their goalkeeper - have managed to keep their third clean sheet of the season.

That result sees West Ham sneak into the top half of the table with five points from their first four games, while Southampton are right behind them in 11th place with the same tally.

That's FULL-TIME at St Mary's and it's finished 0-0 after an inspired goalkeeping performance from Jussi Jaaskelainen kept the visitors in it, and in the end won them a point.

90′ +4
Ward-Prowse collects it in the box under huge pressure from Razvan Rat, but manages to work it out to Calum Chambers, whose cross deflects out to Wanyama, and the midfielder tries a shot from 25 yards with his left which he slices wide.

90′ +3
Rodriguez heads the corner away from his own six-yard box. It's fired back in and Collins goes up for it but the ball eventually finds its way into the hands of Boruc.

90′ +2
Another Collins free kick from halfway is floated forward and Lovren is forced to concede a corner. Nolan swings it in and Ricardo Vaz Te can't reach the second ball at the far post, but the Hammers have another corner.

90′
The hosts win a second corner but Jaaskelainen punches it away. Clyne launches it into the box and Lovren wins the header, which bounces up and hits Nolan, sparking claims of handball which the referee waves away as we go into four minutes of injury time.

89′
The visitors fail to clear their lines and Osvaldo squares it to Schneiderlin, who flicks it over the defence for Lambert, who can't quite get a shot away but wins a corner.

88′
Southampton try to fashion a chance as Wanyama slots it through for Lambert, who drops deep to lift a cross over for Osvaldo, but it's an easy one for Jaaskelainen to come and claim.

87′
Wanyama looks to set Clyne - now playing at left-back - free on the left but it goes out for a throw, while Reid rejoins the action for the Hammers.

86′
There's a break in play as Reid limps off after landing awkwardly from a challenge in the air. It looks like Nolan has moved into defence for the time being.

84′
What a miss! Jarvis does really well to get the ball under control on the right-hand side of the area before pulling it back towards James Collins, who has plenty of space to pick his spot but blasts it high into the stands. Best chance of the match for the visitors.

83′
The visitors have a chance of their own as they win a corner but both Collins and Reid go for it and Southampton clear.

81′
Unfortunately for them it's the same result as Ward-Prowse puts it in the same area but Lovren can't reach it to keep the ball in play.

80′
Ten minutes left at St Mary's. According to Sky Sports there has only been one previous goalless draw between these two. Will we see a second? Southampton have another free kick in the same place...

79′
James Ward-Prowse whips in the set piece with a well-placed ball and Fonte charges to meet it at the far post, but can't direct his effort towards the goal and it goes behind.

78′
West Ham have a fre kick in the middle and, after a substitution for either side, Collins launches it into the box looking for Nolan, but the whistle goes for an infringement in the box and Southampton push forward before winning a free kick of their own, courtesy of a handball by Matthew Taylor.

77′
Substitution Ravel Morrison Matthew Taylor

77′
Substitution Luke Shaw Calum Chambers

76′
Fonte again reads the play well to cut out a pass an dplay forward to Osvaldo. Lambert receives it on the left before playing it back to his strike partner, who goes down in a heap after Reid does well to force him off the ball.

75′
Diame pops up on the left wing for the visitors and has a chance to cross, but it's way too hard and goes out for a throw. Poor crossing has been the theme of the afternoon, sadly.

73′
Shaw cuts in from the left as Southampton look to create another chance, but Osvaldo completely miscontrols the full-back's pass as it runs under his foot and out for a goal kick.

72′
Substitution Adam Lallana James Ward-Prowse

72′
Another save! Rodriguez runs thorugh the middle before rolling it into the path of Lambert on the left, and the striker opens up to curl a superb effort towards the far corner, forcing another stunning stop from Jaaskelainen.

70′
Yellow Card Joey O'Brien

70′
Ouch! O'Brien slides in hard on Lallana right on the sideline and there's a fair amount of pushing and shoving between most of the players. The referee calms things down before showing the Hammers defender a yellow card.

69′
Jaaskelainen fires it forward and Lovren completely fluffs his lines, putting his header straight out for a throw and giving West Ham the chance to form an attack.

68′
Substitution Modibo Maiga Ricardo Vaz Te

67′
Fantastic save! Jaaskelainen keeps things level as Rodriguez crosses from the right for Schneiderlin, who volleys with superb technique and it looks bound for the corner before the Hammers shot-stopper dives superbly to turn it around the post.

66′
Yellow Card Victor Wanyama

66′
Wanyama is booked for a clumsy challenge on halfway and Collins launches another high ball forward, which Nolan is very close to reaching but it goes back into Saints' possession.

65′
Morrison is dispossessed in midfield and Lallana bursts down the left before floating it to the edge of the box. Schneiderlin just manages to reach it with an outstretched leg to divert it towards Osvaldo, but Reid blocks his effort and the visitors clear.

64′
Yellow Card Mark Noble

64′
Wanyama plays a free kick in midfield back to Fonte, who launches a high ball forward but Collins heads clear. Saints still in possession, though.

63′
Razvan Rat is on, then, to make his Premier League debut. Southampton are well on top in this half, but can they find a goal?

61′
Substitution Guy Demel R. Raţ

61′
Great effort! Rodriguez does well to keep the ball in on the right-hand side and plays it back across goal for Osvaldo, whose close-range effort is blocked by Reid but it loops up for Schneiderlin, who tries a bicycle kick which is diverted over by Reid.

60′
The visitors have a throw on the right and it eventually breaks loose for Diame, who tries to put an inswinging ball in with his right but it goes straight through for a goal kick.

59′
West Ham push forward with Jarvis but Southampton to clear the cross. Reid collects it on halfway but the visitors are forced back to Jaaskelainen, whose clearance goes all the way through to Boruc.

57′
Rodriguez plays a lovely first-time ball over the top for Schneiderlin on the right-hand side. The midfielder has plenty of red shirts to aim for but his floated cross goes straight to Jaaskelainen.

56′
Noble and Morrison exhange passes before spreading it wide to Jarvis. It comes back into the middle again and Morrison lays it to Nolan on the edge of the box, but the Hammers skipper strays just offside and Southampton can clear forward.

54′
It's been a frantic start to the half by the hosts, but it's still level. West Ham have some respite with a throw deep in Southampton's half, but Schneiderlin's clearance hits O'Brien and Pochettino's men win the throw.

52′
Another chance! Lambert wins a header from a long ball and squares to Osvaldo, who turns quickly before setting Lallana free down the middle, but Jaaskelainen is out quickly to stop the captain rounding him and win a goal kick.

51′
Tha hosts are looking strong here, and press forward again through Rodriguez, who finds Osvaldo, and the striker lifts a pass over for Lambert but it skips off the wet surface and bounces through for a goal kick.

50′
Southampton have another chance as Lambert breaks on the left, with three men in support. He squares it towards Rodriguez who dummies for Schneiderlin, but the midfielder's first-time pass goes straight to the defender and West Ham clear.

49′
Off the woodwork! Wanyama tests Jaaskelainen as he collects a bouncing ball and fires a volley from 25 yards, which the goalkeeper tips over. From the corner Lambert meets the ball at the near post and powers a header against the woodwork.

48′
Noble takes the set piece himself, looking for Maiga but Southampton clear. Noble pushes forward again and loses control but they appeal for handball as it hits Fonte in the box, but the referee waves play on.

47′
Demel charges down the right-hand side but Osvaldo gets back to fulfil defensive duties and team up with Shaw to win a goal kick. Noble makes a good run forward along the left flank but is taken down by Schneiderlin as he cuts inside, and West Ham have a free kick.

46′
And we're back up and running as West Ham get the second half underway. Incredibly, though, Southampton only have ten men as Victor Wanyama turns up late! Astonishing.

Just a couple of minutes until the restart, and the weather's still not looking particularly friendly. Will we see a goal in the second half?

It's almost been the tale of the youngsters so far this afternoon. Ravel Morrison has impressed on his first Premier League start, while Luke Shaw has shown plenty of signs of why he has been tipped to be a star of the future.

A quick word from Ewan Roberts at St Mary's, now: "There's plenty of room for improvement in the second half, though Mauricio Pochettino will be keen to record a long overdue second home clean sheet - which looks likely as things stand."

That's HALF-TIME at St Mary's and we go into the break goalless. It's not been the highest-quality affair but both sides have created opportunities, with Jaaskelainen denying Osvaldo in the best chance of the match so far.

45′ +2
Chance for the visitors! Morrison finds O'Brien on the left-hand side of the box with a superb box, and the full-back plays it across for Nolan who can't get a shot away before Maiga puts a tame effort well wide.

45′ +1
Collins is caught in possession by the hard-working Osvaldo, but Rodriguez spurns the opportunity to break and they lose possession in the first of two minutes' added time.

44′
Southampton have a chance to break as Rodriguez pushes down the left channel and manages to find Shaw, but the defender completely skews his cross straight into the stands.

43′
Wanyama has a first push forward and prods it past Reid, looking to move into the box, but Collins is there to cover his partner and clear the ball out of play for a throw.

42′
The frantic pace of the last 20 minutes or so has slightly dissipated as we enter the final stages of the half. Nolan looks for a long pass to the right of midfield but it goes out for a throw to the hosts.

40′
Chance! Lambert and Lallana try to bring down a long clearance from Boruc, but neither can get it under control and Reid comes across to blast a clearance away. The Hammers push forward and it eventually falls to Morrison 25 yards out, and the youngster swings a delightful effort just over the bar.

38′
Rodriguez receives the ball in the centre circle, but his touch is loose and he ends up conceding a foul under pressure from O'Brien.

37′
Lallana swings in another dangerous set piece and Rodriguez goes up for it, but can't divert his header towards goal and it flies over the bar.

36′
Wanyama and Shaw link up before the full-back finds Lambert on the left, and the striker draws a simple foul from Demel, giving the hosts a chance to whip in a dangerous ball.

35′
We're back underway through a Jaaskelainen goal kick and Diame rejoins the action, albeit with a slight limp.

34′
The visitors are furious as Diame goes down injured after a strong challenge from Schneiderlin but the hosts play on. Replays show the midfielder may be lucky to get away with that, as it looked two-footed. Meanwhile, Diame is still down receiving treatment.

32′
Rodriguez bursts forward and exchanges passes with Osvaldo, before the striker produces a stunning trick pass through the defence looking for Lallana, but the skipper doesn't read it and West Ham gain possession.

30′
Both Fonte and Lambert go up for the header six yards out, but the referee blows his whistle for a foul. West Ham are through at the other end as Morrison breaks free but is denied in a one-on-one by Boruc, although the offside flag is already up and Saints survive.

29′
Yellow Card Mohamed Diame

29′
Jose Fonte reads a pass perfectly to intercept and plays it forward to Lallana, who is tripped by Diame and the West Ham man goes into the book. It's played forward to Osvaldo who works hard to win a corner for the hosts.

27′
Demel fires a long throw over the defence and Maiga chases it, but goes down clutching his face after Dejan Lovren holds the striker off to win the ball. It seemed fairly innocuous and play goes on.

25′
The visitors can't make use of the set piece, though, as Jarvis' ball is cleared and a floated pass looking for the winger goes straight out of play.

24′
Jarvis tries to break free from Clyne deep inside the Southampton half but the defender recovers well to challenge the winger before he can cross and concede a corner.

23′
Chance! Collins slips while trying to retrieve the ball and Lambert breaks forward, setting Rodriguez away through the middle. The ball comes back to the striker on the edge of the box and he drives a low effort towards goal, forcing Jaaskelainen to make a stop low to his right.

22′
Clyne bursts past O'Brien on the right flank and whips a cross in looking for Lambert at the far post, but Demel does well to head away.

20′
Nolan floats a good pass wide for Diame, who lays off for Guy Demel, but the full-back's cross is way too hard and goes out the other side for a throw. West Ham win it back quickly, though, and Diame has space in midfield to hammer a 35-yarder just high and wide of the top left-hand corner.

18′
Oof, that's a high challenge by Schneiderlin on Diame as he goes for a 50-50 ball, but he escapes punishment and West Ham can fire another long ball forward.

17′
Morgan Schneiderlin sloppily gives it away in midfield and West Ham look to move forward. Jarvis and O'Brien link up on the left but the defender can't slot a second pass through the defence and Southampton have the ball once more.

15′
Morrison goes in hard on Lambert but only gets a talking-to from the referee. Lallana takes a quick free kick to send Shaw down the left channel, and he pulls the ball back looking for Osvaldo but Diame makes a defensive clearance.

14′
Osvaldo causes problems for Collins at the back, putting the defender under pressure, but Reid comes across to clear the danger.

13′
The hosts are in possession now, passing it along the back, just trying to reorganise themselves before pressing forward.

12′
Definitely the best chance of the match so far, but it definitely came against the run of play. Southampton are starting to grow into the match, though.

11′
What a save! Rodriguez picks it up on the left-hand side and darts into the West Ham area before pulling it back to the penalty spot for Dani Osvaldo, who shoots first time but is denied by Jussi Jaaskelainen with a superb low stop to divert it behind.

9′
Kevin Nolan cuts the ball out in midfield and sets Jarvis free on the left once more, but again his cross isn't up to scratch and this time it goes straight to Boruc.

8′
West Ham have enjoyed a bright start, putting pressure on the Saints back four, but Jarvis spurns a chance to cross from the left, overhitting his right-footed ball in and the hosts have a goal kick.

7′
Chance! Mohamed Diame collects the ball deep down the right flank after a lovely diagonal ball by Mark Noble, and the midfielder darts into the area before forcing a point-blank save from Boruc at his near post.

5′
Joey O'Brien pushes forward down the left and sends a pass through the defence looking for Morrison, but it runs straight through to Artur Boruc.

4′
Wanyama gives away a foul on halfway and James Collins launches it forward towards his defensive partner, Reid, but Luke Shaw does well to win it in the air before drawing a foul on the corner of the box.

Wanyama gives away a foul on halfway and James Collins launches it forward towards his defensive partner, Reid, but Luke Shaw does well to win it in the air before drawing a foul on the corner of the box.

3′
Adam Lallana swings a free kick into the box from the left but Winston Reid heads clear. Victor Wanyama goes to collect the ball but slips on the wet surface and the visitors regain possession.

2′
Jose Fonte makes an early clearance and West Ham have a throw on halfway, but Modibo Maiga challenges for the ball illegally and Saints have possession.

1′
We're underway at St Mary's as Southampton get the game started.

West Ham have only conceded one goal in three games this season, while Southampton have only scored twoice. It's a miserable, rainy day on the south coast. 0-0 written all over it? Let's hope not.

STAT ATTACK: Here are some interesting numbers from Ewan Roberts at St Mary's this afternoon. Only Stoke City (27.5) have won more aerial duels per game than West Ham (26.7), while Rickie Lambert had attempted the most headed shots (six) prior to this weekend's fixtures. Meanwhile, Mark Noble has 3 goals in last 3 games against Southampton.

For West Ham, Ravel Morrison earns his first Premier League start at the expense of Stewart Downing, and Andy Carroll is sidelined after picking up a foot injury on his return from an achilles problem.

So, that means Rickie Lambert makes his 200th league appearance for Saints this afternoon. Luke Shaw, Nathaniel Clyne and Jay Rodriguez all come back into the side, with Danny Fox (ankle) missing out, while James Ward-Prowse and Calum Chambers drop to the bench.

WEST HAM: Jaaskelainen; Demel, Reid, Collins, O'Brien; Diame, Noble; Jarvis, Nolan, Morrison; Maiga. // Subs: Adrian, Rat, Tomkins, Collison, Taylor, Lee, Vaz Te.
