Well my friends, that's it from me, Luke Matthews. Tonight we saw Chelsea and Real Madrid reach the last eight of the Champions League with Napoli and CSKA Moscow both exiting the competition.

Before I go, here is a recap of our rather impressive match coverage from tonight, even if I do say so myself.

Thank you for joining on another action packed evening of Champions League football. Make sure you join us for Friday's Champions League draw to see who will play who in the quarter-finals. Until next time, goodnight and God bless!

Before I bid you farewell, here is what Chelsea's Frank Lampard had to say after his side's extraordinary win over Napoli this evening. The experienced midfielder was in a rather bullish mood claiming his side are happy to take on anyone in the quarters.

Did you know?

Karim Benzema took only 35 seconds to score tonight after coming on as a substitute. There are two joint record holders who both manages the feat after 15 seconds: Lars Ricken did it for Dortmund in the 1997 Champions League final while Andy van der Meyde did it for Ajax in 2004.

And now, as a special treat, we bring to you Wayne Veysey's post-match editorial after attending an evening that will go down in Chelsea history. In celebration of the Blue's Old guard, have a read of this.

And now it's time for some fan reaction, starting with Christopher Anachebe who was following the Chelsea v Napoli game: "Shame to all soccer fans and the media who were anti-Chelsea. None of them believed that the Blues would triumph tonight."

Another fan who was clearly buoyed by the Premier League club's was Arobo Aziz Kehinde who states: "AVB may have been betrayed by his predecessor (Roberto Di Matteo) but this was definitely not the same Chelsea under his reign. I now see a team with a winning mentality and good team-work."

I have to admit, Chelsea displayed excellent fighting spirit tonight and the dismissal of Andre Villas-Boas seems to be paying off.

We gave you a little teaser of Jose Mourinho's post-match comments earlier and now we bring to you the full interview with the trainer.

Before we go into post-game reaction overload, some final words of wisdom from Goal.com's Italian football editor, Kris Voakes.

"What a waste! 3-1 up from the first leg, Napoli had plenty of chances in those opening 20 minutes to kill the tie completely, but they just didn't do so. Once Drogba opened the scoring, you could tell that the Azzurri were ill at ease.

"Their defending simply wasn't good enough, and - Champions League rookies though they were - this was a huge let down having been in a commanding position in the opening exchanges.

"In a few days time, they will rightly feel proud of what they have done in Europe this season, but tonight and for a few days to come, they will know that they should have been in the hat for the quarter-final draw.

Here are the player ratings for those who featured in Chelsea's impressive 4-1 win against Napoli tonight at Stamford Bridge, earning the Premier League side a place in the Champions League quarter-finals.

A few post-match reactions are filtering through now and first of all we have a few words from Jose Mourinho who was full of praise for one man in particular, Kaka.

"Kaka was spectacular. He played his best games in Milan, but has never worked as hard as he does now. He works fantastically hard for team."

Here are the player ratings for those that featured at the Bernabeu this evening. Cristiano Ronaldo grabbed a double but did he do enough to win our man of the match award? Take a look...

Here is the highly-anticipated match report for that dramatic Chelsea v Napoli game. Another brilliant night of Champions League football! We spoil you, we really do.

22:20 GMT

Now for some final words from our Spanish football editor, Ben Hayward, on Real Madrid's comfortable 4-1 victory over CSKA Moscow tonight.

"It was a polished performance from Madrid and their place in the last eight never really looked in doubt, but they were given food for thought early on as CSKA threatened through the pace of Doumbia and Musa.

"It was largely one-way traffic after that, though, and after Higuain had made it 1-0, Mourinho's men stepped up in the second half. They were helped by two goalkeeping errors from Chepchugov, though, as Ronaldo and substitue Benzema made it 2-0 and then 3-0.

"Tosic's stunner then gave CSKA faint hope and Mourinho was furious as CSKA were allowed through after that, throwing a water battle to the ground in disgust as Casillas was forced to make a save late on.

"Ronaldo tapped home another in added time and the 4-1 scoreline somewhat flattered Madrid in the end. Against better opposition, they will need a better performance, but it was a job well done in the end - and nobody will want them in the last eight. Not even Barcelona."

22:14 GMT

FULL-TIME at Stamford Bridge: CHELSEA 4-1 NAPOLI (Agg 5-4 aet)

Chelsea have done it in extra-time! The English club have managed to conjure enough strength to overturn a 3-1 deficit from the first leg to book their place in the Champions League quarter-finals!

22:10 GMT

Did you know?

The last goal to be scored in Champions League extra-time was against Chelsea with Ryan Babel netting for Liverpool in April 2008. Luckily for the Blues, Frank Lampard and Didier Drogba had netted earlier as Chelsea advanced to the final.

22:01 GMT

We are into the second-half of extra-time at Stamford Bridge and there are 10 minutes left to play. Napoli are getting forward but it is Chelsea who appear the likelier to score again on the counterattack.

21:56 GMT

GOAL CHELSEA! The home side grab their fourth of the night and from an unlikley source in Branislav Ivanovic who slams the ball into the roof of the net from 15 yards out following Didier Drogba's great ball into the danger area.

So with the game (and the tie) between Real Madrid and CSKA Moscow over, here is tonight's match report. We will bring you the report for Chelsea and Napoli as soon as the game finishes.
