Right, that's me done. I'm going to sit back for a short while and soak up the mouth-watering clashes on the menu in the Champions League next year. Barcelona vs Manchester City, Bayern Munich v Arsenal, Atletico Madrid vs AC Milan...we're in for some corkers, for sure.

Stick around on Goal for all the rest of the reaction to the draw, though! Stay classy.

Some reaction on Twitter from you fine folk below...

@generalskips wrote: "Man city will knock out Barcelona." A vaguely popular opinion on social media it seems! Not everyone fancying Lionel Messi & Co.!

@delskid thinks "it was a good draw for Chelsea" and I'm inclined to agree. Galatasaray were very fortunate to make it out of their group, though could Didier Drogba up his game against his former club.

@kkufrebssy mused: "I think AVB lost something or someone this season and he just cant get it straight again, despite all new signings. He was superb before." Could that something or someone possibly be Gareth Bale?

Gerardo Martino is playing it cool at Barcelona being drawn against Manchester City. Then again, he's hardly going to flip his table over in the press conference, burst into tears and cry out "WHY?!" is he?

"There were six other possibilities, but we will meet City," he told reporters. "After the draw you always have to play against the opponent you are given - maybe they didn't want to play against Barcelona. The most important thing is to arrive in a good shape to their stadium, maintain a high level of playing and maintain it."

Former Bayern Munich star Stefan Effenberg has said: "Of course Bayern are favourites. But we may not forget last year, when they lost to Arsenal [in the home leg]. That is a warning.

"But, nevertheless, Bayern remain the top favourite for the title. Schalke have a very interesting draw. I have no doubt that Real Madrid are the favourite, but the name alone brings lots of motivation."

Galatasaray board member Sukru Ergun mastering the non-chalant, I-don't care-who-we-drew-all-I-care-about-is-getting-out-of-this-mixed-zone-without-any-more-questions attitude: "The Chelsea draw is average. The first match is in Istanbul. We want to use this advantage. We will rely on our fans."

Didier Drogba was the star of the Champions League in 2011-12, scoring the penalty which won Chelsea the final against Bayern Munich with his last kick in a Blues shirt.

What an ovation he's going to get at Stamford Bridge next year. Jose Mourinho has already said that he hopes the Galatasaray forward gets a better reception than even he did when he returned to the west London ground.

"It's a very wonderful draw," Man City director of football Txiki Begiristain has said after the draw. He used to work for the Catalans of course, so it'll be a homecoming-of-sorts for him.

Both Manchester City and Arsenal must be rueing finishing second in their Champions League groups!

Man City have been 'treated' with a mammoth clash with Barcelona, while holders Bayern Munich await the Gunners.

If Man City had pushed and succeeded to get a fourth goal in their final match then they would have topped Group D; if Arsenal had just bagged a draw away to Napoli in their last game then they could have been facing Zenit St Petersburg.

Borussia Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke: "The draw is absolutely okay for us. Zenit have some good players, not just Hulk. If I have a look at the other German clubs, we can be satisfied. Bayern got the opponent you did not want to get after topping your group."

Very true, regarding Bayern. Although Arsenal have lost their last two matches, they top the Premier League and have looked a much better outfit this season than when they were eliminated by the Bavarians in the last 16 last campaign.

And that's the Champions League last 16! A beauty of a draw, really, but then again it was always going to have some corkers.

Two of my three predictions came true, which I'll take. Manchester City's clash with Barcelona, Arsenal's repeated of their last-16 tie with Bayern Munich and Didier Drogba's return to Chelsea have to be the stand-outs.

Borussia Dortmund will be privately pleased with their draw with Zenit St Petersburg, Manchester United fans won't be too worried about Olympiakos and Real Madrid will have their hopes boosted by knowing they will face Schalke.

Damn you, Tottenham, trying to distract us from the draw! They may not be in the last 16 - of the tournament at all, this season - but doesn't mean they can't try to nab the headlines off the competition!
