Hazard, De Gea & 15 summer transfer targets in Premier League

With the summer window set to open in just three months, Goal looks at the players presently attracting the most attention in the English top flight

  1. #15 JACK BUTLAND | STOKE CITY

Jack Butland has been touted as the solution to Liverpool's current goalkeeper problem and the summer could prove the perfect time to make the step up. The 24-year-old has seen his career stutter during his time at Stoke and his decision to leave the club was made some time ago, making him a wise investment for those looking to strengthen between the sticks.
  2. #14 DAVINSON SANCHEZ | TOTTENHAM

It would take a considerable offer for Tottenham to consider letting Davinson Sanchez leave the club, having seen him flourish in the capital since his £42 million move in the summer. The 21-year-old signed a six-year deal with Spurs ahead of the current season, though it hasn't stopped Real Madrid keeping tabs on the Colombia international as they look to restructure their squad ahead of 2018-19.
  3. #13 HECTOR BELLERIN | ARSENAL

Hector Bellerin's Barcelona return seems a matter of when, rather than if. The Arsenal right-back hasn't helped himself this season, however, having endured a large drop in performance level and souring his relationship with supporters of the north London club. Bellerin's departure was seen as a potential disaster for Arsenal, though a move this summer may be considered far less of a blow.
  4. #12 JACK WILSHERE | ARSENAL

Jack Wilshere's Arsenal departure has been spoken about for some time, with the midfielder spending the 2016-17 campaign on loan at Bournemouth. With his contract up in the summer, is it time the 25-year-old parted ways with his boyhood club on a permanent basis? AC Milan will certainly hope so, having held an interest in signing the England international for at least the last 18 months, though Arsenal fans will oppose an exit.
  5. #11 KEVIN DE BRUYNE | MAN CITY

Kevin De Bruyne has made it clear to all that he is enjoying life at Manchester City under Pep Guardiola. The Belgium international is the most creative player in the Premier League and arguably the most important player to City's success this term, leading to reported interest from the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona. While it's unlikely that De Bruyne leaves Manchester this summer, it's clear that the European powerhouses would be delighted to take him off their hands.
  6. #10 RIYAD MAHREZ | LEICESTER CITY

Riyad Mahrez's Leicester City career is over in everything but paperwork. The winger has made no secret of his desire to leave the King Power Stadium, with the likes of Manchester City and Real Madrid being linked with a move. Will Mahrez finally get his move this summer?
  7. #9 MICHY BATSHUAYI | CHELSEA

One man's trash is another man's treasure, as has been highlighted by Michy Batshuayi's loan move to Borussia Dortmund. Antonio Conte had no plans to hand the Belgium international additional playing time this season and shipped him to the Bundesliga as soon as the option was available to him, signing Olivier Giroud from Arsenal in his place. Five goals and an assist in his opening three games for Dortmund, however, has seen Batshuayi's worth rocket and he is again likely to be hot property in the summer market.
  8. #8 EMRE CAN | LIVERPOOL

Emre Can's time at Liverpool seems to be coming to an end and the Germany international has plenty of options going into the summer transfer window. With his current contract expiring at the end of the season, Can is an attractive proposition for the European elite. Juventus are favourites to sign the 24-year-old, though Real Madrid and Bayern Munich have both been mentioned.
  9. #7 ANTHONY MARTIAL | MAN UTD

Anthony Martial is being monitored by Real Madrid, if reports are to be believed, and with Manchester United's wealth in attacking positions he may just be made available. The France international has impressed at Old Trafford this season but still struggles with inconsistency, leading him to fewer minutes on the pitch as he'd like. Martial's contract will expire at the end of next season, but will he choose to see it out, or seek new opportunities elsewhere?
  10. #6 TOBY ALDERWEIRELD | TOTTENHAM

Tottenham currently hold one of the finest teams in the Premier League, a squad made even more attractive because of the manner in which they have constructed it. However, if they are to keep their best players, chairman Daniel Levy will have to meet their wage demands, something which may not happen with Barcelona target Toby Alderweireld. The 28-year-old will have his pick of European giants this summer if he chooses to leave Spurs.
  11. #5 PAUL POGBA | MAN UTD

Paul Pogba's public spat with Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has alerted Real Madrid chiefs and a summer approach is already being suggested. Mourinho is in a position of power at Old Trafford having recently signed a fresh, long-term contract at the club, and few will be surprised by him flexing his authority over his biggest stars, though this one may end up with him losing one.
  12. #4 THIBAUT COURTOIS | CHELSEA

Real Madrid's search for a goalkeeper comes down to two Premier League outlets with unfinished business in the Spanish capital. The first of which is Chelsea's Thibaut Courtois, who spent three seasons on loan at Atletico before becoming Chelsea's undisputed No.1. Courtois' immediate family remain in Madrid, so a switch to Real would unquestionably be one that appeals to him.
  13. #3 HARRY KANE | TOTTENHAM

Harry Kane look set for his third consecutive Premier League Golden Boot this season and has struck at least 20 goals in a league season for his fourth straight campaign. The Spurs forward is the hottest striker in world football at present and it'd take an eye-watering bid to take him from Spurs, though Real Madrid are supposedly happy to pay anywhere up to £250 million for the England international.
  14. #2 DAVID DE GEA | MAN UTD

Real Madrid's list of summer targets is likely to have David De Gea's name at the top. The Manchester United shot-stopper is proving to be one of the best in a position the Spanish giants are desperate to strengthen. De Gea is Madrid-born and is a product of the Atletico academy, and famously agreed a move to Real back in 2015 before a transfer broke down.
  15. #1 EDEN HAZARD | CHELSEA

The Chelsea forward is likely to be the next to command a nine-figure transfer fee, should he leave Stamford Bridge for Real Madrid ahead of next season. The Blues star is entering the peak of his career and if he is to be considered a top-level player then playing alongside Cristiano Ronaldo may be a sensible next move.
